Withings currently documents U.S. support for Abbott Lingo—not for every Abbott over-the-counter glucose monitor. Lingo data can appear in the Withings App alongside metrics such as weight and body composition. The connection is intended for adults 18 and older who do not use insulin, and Lingo is a wellness product rather than a diabetes-diagnosis or treatment tool.
The partnership is also limited geographically: Withings says it is available only in the United States. Support for Abbott’s other U.S. OTC system, Libre Rio, and for prescription FreeStyle Libre products is not established by the official Withings documentation reviewed here.
What the Withings integration actually does
Lingo is Abbott’s OTC glucose biosensor and coaching service. When connected, its glucose data can be displayed in the Withings App Home tab, including as a Timeline item. Users can also reach it through the Home tab’s Nutrition area.

That makes it possible to view glucose alongside Withings measurements such as weight and body composition. Withings says the combined information may contribute to its reports and recommendations, but this should be understood as data aggregation—not as a replacement for Lingo’s specialized app, medical interpretation, or clinical care.

Which Abbott glucose monitors work with Withings?
| Product | U.S. OTC? | Documented intended user | Withings support |
|---|---|---|---|
| Abbott Lingo | Yes | Adults 18 and older who are not using insulin and want wellness or metabolic-health insights | Verified |
| Abbott Libre Rio | Yes | Adults 18 and older with Type 2 diabetes who do not use insulin and typically manage through lifestyle changes | Not verified in the reviewed Withings documentation |
| FreeStyle Libre systems | Generally prescription in the U.S. product context described by Abbott | People with diabetes, subject to each product’s indications | Not verified for this integration |
Abbott’s two OTC products are not interchangeable. Abbott describes Lingo as a wellness-focused product and Libre Rio as an option for adults with Type 2 diabetes who do not use insulin. The verified Withings support article specifically names “Lingo by Abbott.” It does not establish compatibility with Libre Rio or prescription FreeStyle Libre systems.
How to connect Lingo to the Withings App
Withings’ current support instructions provide this in-app partner route:
- Open the Withings App.
- Open the Share tab.
- Scroll down and tap Lingo by Abbott.
- Sign in to your Lingo account.
- Read the terms, select Accept Consent, and tap Continue.
- When the confirmation pop-up appears, tap Open to return to Withings.
Once sharing is authorized and the Lingo App has generated data, it should appear in the Withings App Home tab as a Timeline item. You can also scroll across the top of Home and select Nutrition to access the glucose data.
Alternative: use Apple Health or Health Connect
Withings’ product page separately documents a platform-mediated route:
- iPhone or iPad: connect Lingo to Apple Health, then connect the Withings App to Apple Health.
- Android: connect Lingo to Health Connect, then connect the Withings App to Health Connect.
After the relevant permissions are granted, Lingo glucose data should be available in the Withings App Home tab. This route is useful if the Lingo partner option is not visible in the Share tab.

What you need before connecting
- A U.S. Withings account and app environment.
- A Lingo account and an active Lingo sensor.
- Both apps installed and signed in.
- A compatible iOS or Android device.
- Permission to share glucose data through the partner authorization flow, Apple Health, or Health Connect.
Withings describes Lingo as a biosensor worn on the back of the upper arm. Each sensor lasts up to 14 days, streams data continuously to the Lingo App over Bluetooth, requires no charging, and is water-resistant to 3 feet for up to 30 minutes. The readings are measured from interstitial fluid, not directly from blood.
What you will—and will not—see in Withings
The Withings App is an aggregated health view. It is not necessarily a duplicate of Lingo’s glucose dashboard, and the display may not look like a live Lingo screen. Lingo remains the source for its detailed glucose interpretation and coaching.

Troubleshooting the connection
The Lingo option is missing
First check that your account and storefront are in the United States, update both apps, and look specifically under Share. If the option still does not appear, try Apple Health on iOS or Health Connect on Android. These are practical troubleshooting steps; Withings’ support material does not provide a complete failure matrix.
If the problem concerns the sensor or Lingo app, contact Lingo support. For Withings account or app issues, contact Withings customer support.

Lingo shows data, but Withings does not
- Confirm that you accepted the consent request.
- Make sure you returned to the Withings App after authorization.
- Check that Apple Health or Health Connect permissions include glucose data.
- Confirm that the sensor has produced readings.
- Look in the Home Timeline or Nutrition area rather than expecting a separate glucose dashboard.
The reviewed documentation does not specify how much historical data will be imported, so do not assume that a complete backfill is guaranteed.
Data is delayed or incomplete
Lingo readings originate in the Lingo system and are then shared into another app. A delay, missing interval, or permission problem in Withings does not automatically mean the sensor has stopped working. For urgent or safety-critical decisions, follow Abbott’s product labeling and do not rely on the Withings display as the sole source.
If readings or alarms do not match your symptoms or expectations, Abbott advises using a fingerstick blood-glucose value for treatment decisions and seeking medical attention when appropriate. See Abbott’s product and safety information.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Eligibility and medical limitations
Lingo is intended for adults 18 and older who are not using insulin. It is not intended to diagnose diseases, including diabetes, and is not designed for people with problematic hypoglycemia. Individual responses vary, and it does not guarantee a particular health or weight outcome.
Speak with a health professional before changing diet or exercise based on glucose data, especially if you have diabetes, use glucose-lowering medication, have an eating disorder, or have a history of eating disorders. A glucose reading from interstitial fluid is not the same thing as a direct blood-glucose test, and wellness coaching is not diabetes treatment.

Price and sensor duration
At the time checked on August 18, 2026, the Withings Lingo product page displayed a price of US$89 and showed a package containing two biosensors and two applicators. With each sensor lasting up to 14 days, that represents up to roughly four weeks of consecutive use.
The page also advertises HSA/FSA eligibility, while Withings support refers to a Lingo 4-Week Plan sold through its webstore. The reviewed sources do not clearly establish whether the displayed $89 price is a one-time purchase, a recurring subscription, or the exact price of that plan. Check the checkout screen for the current billing terms before buying. Insurance coverage is not established by the sources reviewed.
Is Lingo with Withings a good fit?
This combination makes the most sense if you are a U.S. adult already using Withings scales, watches, or other health products and want glucose patterns in the same app as weight or body-composition data. It is also suitable for someone seeking an OTC wellness CGM who is comfortable using two apps: Lingo for detailed glucose insight and Withings for a broader health overview.
It is probably the wrong choice if you use insulin, need diabetes-management guidance, need hypoglycemia alerts or treatment-oriented features, live outside the U.S., or expect the Withings App to replace Abbott’s app. It is also not a fully native, single-app experience: depending on your setup, it involves partner authorization or Apple Health or Health Connect permissions.

Alternatives to consider
Libre Rio is the closest Abbott alternative for an adult with Type 2 diabetes who does not use insulin, but it has a different intended use from Lingo and Withings compatibility is not verified here. See Abbott’s official product announcement.
Dexcom Stelo is another U.S. OTC glucose-biosensor option. Its official site is the appropriate place to check current availability and compatibility; do not assume that it works with Withings.
People with diabetes, insulin use, problematic hypoglycemia, or a need for treatment-oriented features should discuss prescription CGM options with a clinician. Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre family and Dexcom’s prescription systems may be relevant, but compatibility with Withings must be checked product by product.
