Yes—the Apple Watch Series 10 really fell to $329 during the New Year 2025 shopping period. But that price applied to the 42mm aluminum GPS model, not every Series 10 configuration. The $70 promotion was reported at Amazon and Best Buy between December 29, 2024, and early January 2025; it has since expired.

The Series 10 discount was approximately 17.5%: $70 divided by the cited $399 list price. Contemporary deal coverage described $329 as the best price seen for the 2024 Apple Watch at the time and as a return to Black Friday-level pricing—not necessarily an all-time low.
AppleInsider reported the Amazon promotion, while Creative Bloq reported the $329 Best Buy price on January 1, 2025.
When was the deal available?
- December 29, 2024: Amazon’s year-end promotion was reported at $329.
- January 1, 2025: Best Buy’s $329 price was reported.
- January 4, 2025: 9to5Toys continued covering the offer but marked it expired in its roundup.
- January 11, 2025: Another 9to5Toys roundup listed the $329 price again, illustrating how availability could return or vary by inventory.
The most accurate description is an extended holiday or New Year promotion. It was a retailer sale, not evidence that Apple permanently reduced the Series 10’s price.

What did the $329 model include?
The discounted watch was the entry-level Series 10 configuration:
- 42mm case
- Aluminum case material
- GPS connectivity
- A specific color and band combination, depending on retailer stock
- $329 price before sales tax
It was not the 46mm model, a cellular version, or a premium case-and-band configuration. The reported 46mm GPS model cost $359. Selecting a different case size, connectivity option, color, or band could change the price.

Was it worth buying?
Historically, $329 was a strong price for a new mainstream Apple Watch. The Series 10 was Apple’s newest standard Apple Watch generation during the promotion, and coverage highlighted its larger display area, lighter design, fitness and health features, and sleep-apnea notifications. Sleep-apnea notifications are a health feature, not a diagnosis or replacement for medical care, and feature availability can vary by region and regulatory approval.
Choose the Series 10 direction if you:
- Own an iPhone and want Apple’s newer mainstream design.
- Prefer the Series 10 display and newer health features over the lowest possible price.
- Do not need cellular connectivity away from your iPhone.
Consider the Apple Watch SE 2 if you:
- Mainly want notifications, activity tracking, and core Apple Watch functions.
- Would rather spend around the reported $199–$219 promotional range.
- Do not specifically need the Series 10’s display and feature upgrades.
The 46mm Series 10 made more sense for shoppers prioritizing a larger display. Cellular models were the better direction for independent phone connectivity, but they cost more and may require carrier activation and a recurring service plan. Buyers seeking rugged construction and longer battery life would need to look at the Ultra line, at a substantially higher price.

Checks to make before buying a similar deal
- Confirm the case size: Make sure the listing says 42mm, not 46mm.
- Confirm connectivity: Look for GPS rather than GPS + Cellular if you are comparing it with the $329 offer.
- Check the case and band: Verify aluminum construction and the included band style and size.
- Check condition: New, open-box, refurbished, and renewed watches are different purchases. Later deal coverage included lower-priced open-box units that should not be confused with the new $329 offer.
- Check the seller: Marketplace listings may have different fulfillment, warranty, and return terms.
- Calculate the delivered cost: Add sales tax and shipping, and account for any cellular service fees.
- Confirm compatibility: Apple Watch is intended for iPhone users; Android owners should not expect normal compatibility. Check Apple’s current compatibility and support information.
- Check regional features: Health functions may be limited by country, age, medical status, or regulatory approval.
What the headline should not imply
“Apple Watch Series 10 is $329” is too broad. The accurate statement is that a specific 42mm GPS aluminum configuration reached $329 at participating retailers during a time-limited promotion. Stock, colors, bands, delivery options, seller status, and price could change independently.
