Apple announced its 2024 Pride Collection on May 6, 2024: one Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop for Apple Watch, the Pride Radiance watch face, and dynamic wallpapers for iPhone and iPad. The band’s U.S. launch price was $99, but that was the 2024 price—not confirmation of current stock or resale value.
What Apple announced in 2024
The collection combined one physical accessory with digital customization: the Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop, the Pride Radiance Apple Watch face, and matching iPhone and iPad wallpapers. It was a band and software release, not a new Apple Watch model. Apple’s May 6, 2024 announcement described the software as customizable and dynamic.
How the Pride Radiance face and wallpapers work
Pride Radiance on Apple Watch
The face uses colored beams against a dark background, tracing the watch-face numerals. Apple said users could personalize the colors across a spectrum. The beams respond to wrist movement in real time using input from the Apple Watch gyroscope.
Dynamic wallpapers on iPhone and iPad
The colored beams form the word “Pride,” with the visual effect moving when the device is unlocked. Apple presented these as dynamic wallpapers tied to iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5, not simply as static image downloads.

- To create the Pride script, some of these textile loops were removed, resulting in a three-dimensional texture you can see and feel.
- On the reverse side, the attachment loops are securely anchored for superior durability.
What the Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop looks like
The band has a vibrant fluorescent pattern inspired by multiple Pride flags and a laser-etched “PRIDE 2024” marking on its lug. Apple said the black and brown colors represent Black, Hispanic, and Latin communities and people affected by HIV/AIDS; pink, light blue, and white represent transgender and nonbinary people. These are Apple’s stated design meanings.

The 41mm and 45mm figures describe the band’s listed size options; they do not establish that every wearer will get a comfortable fit. A Solo Loop has no clasp or adjustment holes, so wrist sizing matters. Check the exact Apple Watch case and band-size relationship before buying, especially if shopping for a watch from a different generation.

How the watch face and wallpapers were distributed
Apple said users could download the Pride Radiance face through the Apple Watch app, the Apple Store app, or Apple’s website, alongside the relevant software updates. The face and wallpapers were digital features, separate from the band; buying the band was not required to use them. Apple’s 2024 announcement does not confirm that the same download routes or availability remain unchanged in 2026.

Can you still buy the 2024 Pride band?
The original announcement establishes its launch terms, not current inventory. As of August 2026, current Apple stock, resale prices, and continued distribution are not established here. Check the Apple Store for live availability rather than treating the historical $99 U.S. launch price as today’s price. If considering a secondhand or new-old-stock listing, compare its price with that original MSRP and assess the seller and item carefully; markings and packaging alone cannot guarantee authenticity.
The Braided Solo Loop is a poor choice if you need fine-grained adjustment, are unsure of your wrist size, or do not want to pay a potential resale premium. Apple’s current Apple Watch bands section may offer standard bands as practical alternatives, though they do not reproduce the 2024 Pride design.

How it differed from Apple’s 2023 Pride release
Apple’s 2023 collection included a Pride Edition Sport Band with a U.S. launch price of $49, while the 2024 collection used a Braided Solo Loop with a $99 U.S. launch price. Apple’s stated purpose for the collection
Apple positioned the collection as part of its support for LGBTQ+ equality movements and advocacy organizations. Its announcement named ILGA World and the Human Rights Campaign, among others. That describes Apple’s stated rationale; it does not establish a per-sale donation tied to the band.
