boAt launched the Smart Ring Active Plus in India in June 2025. It is a 4.7g stainless-steel, screen-free wearable with heart-rate, HRV, SpO₂, sleep, stress, skin-temperature, activity and sports tracking through the boAt Crest app. The ring is rated for 5 ATM water resistance. Its headline “up to 30 days” battery figure applies to the ring used with its charging case—not to one charge of the ring itself. boAt’s support documentation rates the ring for roughly 3–4 days per charge.
Price and availability
Launch coverage put the Smart Ring Active Plus at ₹2,999 in India. The boAt India smart-rings collection surfaced in this research at ₹3,999, against an MRP of ₹9,999. Sale prices, stock and regional availability can change, so check the current boAt listing before buying.
Launch reports listed three finishes—Midnight Black, Radiant Silver and Rose Gold—and sizes 7 through 12. Because a ring cannot be adjusted like a watch strap, confirm the size, exchange terms and return eligibility with the seller before opening or wearing it.

These figures come primarily from boAt’s support documentation and manual. The launch reports differ slightly on endurance, sometimes saying “up to five days”; the official support figure is the safer expectation.
What the ring tracks
The Crest app presents the Active Plus as a broad wellness tracker:
- Heart rate: automatic intervals of 5, 10, 15, 30 (marked recommended) or 60 minutes.
- HRV and stress: HRV appears under Wellness → Restore; stress uses app-defined bands of Relax (0–29), Normal (30–59), Medium (60–79) and High (80–100).
- SpO₂: available under Wellness → Vital, with automatic readings listed as once per hour.
- Skin temperature: automatic monitoring is listed at 30-minute intervals. This is skin-temperature tracking, not a fever diagnosis or clinical body-temperature measurement.
- Sleep, steps and activity: sleep and daily activity are shown in the wellness interface, with daily, weekly and monthly goal insights.
- VO₂ Max and sports modes: listed as supported features; the available material does not provide independent validation of the estimates.
- Camera control: a shake gesture called “Shake & Take” can act as a remote shutter where supported by the app.
To view the main readings, open Crest → Wellness → Vital. boAt describes these as consumer wellness estimates. They should not be used to diagnose illness, replace a pulse oximeter or thermometer, or guide medical treatment.

The “30-day battery” claim explained
This is the most important qualification when comparing the Active Plus with other smart rings. The ring itself is rated for approximately 3–4 days of working time. Its battery is 15mAh, or 18mAh in size 10 and larger rings. A magnetic USB-C charging case contains a 200mAh battery and is advertised to extend combined use to up to 30 days.
In other words, 30 days is a case-assisted system figure, not 30 days of continuous operation from one ring charge. The ring takes about 30 minutes to charge, while the case takes roughly 1.5–2 hours. More frequent heart-rate sampling, sports recording and other settings may affect real-world endurance; boAt does not publish a detailed test methodology in the cited documentation.
What 5 ATM means
boAt rates the ring at 5 ATM water resistance, a pressure-resistance rating suitable for ordinary sweat, splashes, showering and brief everyday water exposure when the manufacturer’s care guidance is followed. It is not a promise of unlimited underwater use.

Avoid treating 5 ATM as permission for diving, high-pressure water, hot tubs, saunas or prolonged submersion. Also, do not call the ring dustproof: “5 ATM” is not a dust-ingress rating. Some regional product wording combines “IPX” and “5 ATM,” but that does not establish a conventional IP dust rating.

The Active Plus pairs with the boAt Crest app over Bluetooth 5.0. The available support material does not state a complete, current Android or iOS minimum-version matrix, so check the app-store listing for your phone before ordering. Setup, detailed review and synchronization require a compatible phone and app.
boAt says steps, heart-rate data and sports modes can continue to record when the ring is outside Bluetooth range and sync after reconnection. It does not specify the offline-storage capacity or guarantee that every metric is retained away from the phone.

The stated Bluetooth operating range is approximately 7–10 metres, with best results when the phone and ring are close together. If pairing fails on Android, boAt advises toggling Bluetooth and GPS off and on, checking that the ring icon is blinking, reopening Crest and restarting the phone if necessary. On iPhone, forget the ring in Bluetooth settings, relaunch Crest and use the app’s pairing prompt.

boAt’s support information says that only step data syncs with Apple Health and Google Fit. Do not assume that heart rate, sleep, SpO₂, HRV or skin-temperature history will export to those services. The support wording also references Strava, but the exact data fields and current availability should be checked inside the latest Crest app.

Practical limitations
- Short ring-only runtime: the charging case is central to the 30-day proposition.
- No independent accuracy evidence: the launch and support material does not validate heart rate, sleep stages, SpO₂, temperature or VO₂ Max against clinical or laboratory equipment.
- Activity cut-off: boAt says activities shorter than three minutes are not recorded.
- Step-count caveat: hand movement can affect counts; cycling or repeated arm motion may register steps.
- Fit matters: choose the correct size and wear it securely enough for consistent sensor contact, without assuming that a particular fit guarantees accuracy.
- Not a smartwatch replacement: there is no display, GPS or documented notification system.
- Medical use: stress scores, HRV, SpO₂ and skin-temperature changes are wellness signals, not diagnoses.
Who should buy the boAt Smart Ring Active Plus?
It is a reasonable option for an Indian buyer who wants an inexpensive, lightweight and screen-free way to follow broad trends in steps, sleep and general wellness. The 4.7g construction, case charging and 5 ATM rating are appealing at the current budget price, provided the buyer accepts frequent ring charging and app dependence.
Look elsewhere if you need a long single-charge battery, clinically validated readings, full Apple Health or Google Fit export, reliable GPS-based workout data, or a device that can replace a smartwatch. Premium alternatives may offer stronger ecosystems or validation, while boAt’s own Smart Ring Active is the cheaper sibling and the Valour Ring 1 is positioned higher with titanium construction and a higher price.
Verdict
The boAt Smart Ring Active Plus is best understood as a low-cost wellness ring, not a medical monitor and not a 30-day single-charge device. Its strongest case is affordability: a 4.7g stainless-steel ring, broad health metrics, offline recording for selected data and a charging case at a price well below premium smart rings. The trade-offs are the official 3–4-day ring runtime, limited health-data synchronization, uncertain measurement accuracy and the need to get sizing right.
