Boult Audio launched the Rover Pro smartwatch in India in April 2023 at a starting price of ₹2,499. Its headline features were a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with an always-on display, Bluetooth calling and fast charging. Those are launch-era claims, not confirmation that the watch is still sold at that price: check current stock, app support and warranty before buying.
Launch price, availability and variants
At launch, Boult announced the Rover Pro for ₹2,499, with sales through its website and Flipkart. Coverage placed the announcement in April 2023; reports differ on the precise date, so April is the clearest way to date the launch. The watch was offered in two styles: Regal, in black, brown and blue, and Icon, in black, green and white. Launch reports said each included a black strap and two additional detachable straps. Indulge’s launch report lists the price, variants and included straps.
The ₹2,499 figure is historical, not a verified current price. Boult’s currently indexed store features other Rover-family products, including the Rover Ultra, rather than a confirmed Rover Pro listing. Availability, app compatibility, firmware support, warranty and accessory supply may have changed since 2023. Verify those details with the seller before ordering.

AMOLED display and design
The Rover Pro was advertised with a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED touchscreen, a reported resolution of 446 × 446 pixels, an always-on display (AOD) and up to 1,000 nits of brightness. Boult and launch coverage presented the AMOLED panel, AOD and higher claimed brightness as key upgrades over the original Rover, whose display was reported at 600 nits. Treat that comparison as launch-era product information rather than an independently measured result. Technuter’s report lists the resolution and calling specifications.

AOD lets you glance at the time without raising or tapping the watch, but keeping the screen on can use more power. The launch material does not say how the battery figures were measured with AOD, high brightness or frequent use.
Bluetooth calling—not phone-free calling
Boult listed Bluetooth 5.2, a built-in microphone and speaker, a dial pad, contact synchronization and controls to make or reject calls. Launch coverage also described a connection range of up to 10 metres and a single-chip Bluetooth design. These are Bluetooth calling functions: the watch relies on a paired phone nearby. The launch coverage provides no evidence of cellular hardware, a SIM or eSIM, or standalone LTE calling. It also does not establish built-in GPS.
As with other Bluetooth-calling watches, a paired phone and the relevant permissions are necessary. If notifications arrive but call audio does not, the phone may be routing audio elsewhere, or the calling connection or permissions may not be active. Exact setup steps can vary by phone and software; consult the Rover Pro documentation rather than assuming instructions for a different Boult model apply.
Health tracking and sports modes
Advertised wellness functions included heart-rate, SpO₂ (blood-oxygen) and blood-pressure readings, sleep and menstrual-cycle tracking, plus sedentary and water reminders. Boult also claimed more than 100 sports modes, with examples including cricket, running, cycling, basketball and yoga, and more than 150 cloud-based watch faces. Launch reports do not clearly establish how many modes are available directly on the watch versus through its companion app, or whether all faces and modes remain accessible today.
These sensor features should be treated as wellness estimates, not medical measurements. The reviewed launch coverage provides no clinical validation, accuracy testing or medical-device clearance. Do not use a watch reading to diagnose a condition, make an emergency decision, monitor treatment or change medication. In particular, a consumer wearable’s blood-pressure estimate is not a substitute for a clinically validated cuff. Fit, movement, skin contact, temperature, tattoos and sensor limitations can affect readings.
Battery, charging and water resistance
Boult advertised up to two days of use after a 10-minute charge and up to seven days after 90 minutes, with USB Type-C fast charging. These are manufacturer or launch claims, not guaranteed endurance. The reports do not specify conditions such as AOD use, brightness, call duration, notifications, workout frequency or health-sensor intervals. AOD, frequent calls and intensive tracking can reduce time between charges.

The watch was described in launch coverage as IP68 water-resistant, with reports citing immersion up to 1.5 metres for around 30 minutes. The precise test conditions and warranty exclusions were not available in that coverage. An IP rating is not blanket approval for swimming, diving, hot showers, steam, soap or high-pressure water. Check Boult’s applicable warranty and water-use guidance before exposing the watch to water.

This is a comparison of launch-era descriptions, not a lab test. The reports do not provide a like-for-like independent assessment of display performance, battery life or calling quality.
Is the Rover Pro worth considering?
It may suit someone who finds a genuine, supported unit at a good price and mainly wants a round AMOLED watch for notifications, phone-connected calls, casual activity tracking and watch-face customization. Its advertised AOD and bundled straps were notable features for a ₹2,499 launch product.
Look elsewhere if you need reliable independent GPS for training, phone-free calling, medically dependable readings, documented swim suitability or confidence in ongoing software support. Since the Rover Pro is a 2023 model and its current availability is unconfirmed, check the live price and stock, seller authorization, return policy, phone and app compatibility, warranty, and availability of straps and charging accessories before paying.
For a current Boult option, the official store lists the Rover Ultra, a different product, not a renamed Rover Pro. Its price and availability can change, and its specifications should not be substituted for Rover Pro claims.
