The CMF Watch Pro 2 launched on July 8, 2024, alongside the CMF Phone 1 and CMF Buds Pro 2. CMF is Nothing’s more affordable product line, and the Watch Pro 2 succeeds the original CMF Watch Pro with a circular 1.32-inch AMOLED display, built-in GPS, Bluetooth calling, gesture shortcuts and removable bezels. Its headline features make it an appealing budget option, but they do not make it a full-fledged Wear OS or Apple Watch alternative.
At launch, standard versions were priced at about $69, £69, €69 or ₹4,999, depending on market. Those were regional launch prices, not a single worldwide price. Nothing’s EU store has since listed the watch at €69, but current stock, colors and pricing vary by region.
Launch price and availability
Nothing introduced the CMF Watch Pro 2 globally on July 8, 2024, at the same launch as the CMF Phone 1 and CMF Buds Pro 2. The watch was positioned as the successor to the first CMF Watch Pro. Launch coverage reported standard Dark Grey and Ash Grey versions at around $69, £69, €69 or ₹4,999, depending on the country. In India, Blue and Orange versions with leather straps were listed at ₹5,499; an additional bezel-and-strap set was reported at ₹749.
These prices and bundles were market-specific. They should not be read as a promise that every color or accessory was available everywhere, or that launch pricing remains current. Nothing’s EU store listing has shown a €69 price signal, while availability and displayed prices vary by region and color.

What the display and bezel features offer
The watch has a circular 1.32-inch AMOLED screen with 466 × 466 resolution, a stated pixel density of 353 PPI, auto-brightness and peak brightness of 620 nits. Nothing describes the display as running at up to 60 FPS; product specifications commonly express that as a 60Hz-class refresh rate. The figure describes how frequently the screen can refresh, not its resolution or the watch’s overall processing speed. It can help make interface animations and scrolling look smoother, but it does not make the watch equivalent to a 60Hz smartphone.
The aluminum-alloy body has a functional rotating crown for navigating menus, alongside touchscreen controls. Its external bezel can be removed and replaced with a compatible alternative, letting owners change the look without replacing the watch. Nothing lists curved and flat bezel styles, and the strap is removable too. However, interchangeable does not mean every finish or accessory set is bundled with the watch or reliably sold in every market. Check the local store’s box contents and stock before buying if a particular bezel or strap matters to you.
Gesture control is for shortcuts, not full hands-free use
Gesture control uses wrist movements—such as rotating or shaking the wrist—to trigger selected actions. Depending on the software configuration, examples include answering calls, skipping music or checking the weather. It is best understood as a set of shortcuts: it does not let you operate every watch feature without touching the screen or crown. Nothing’s product page describes the feature and the watch’s other headline specifications.

GPS, fitness and health tracking
The Watch Pro 2 has its own multi-system GPS, so outdoor activity tracking does not rely solely on a phone’s location. Nothing lists 120 sports modes and five smart-recognition activities. Its wellness features include automatic and 24-hour heart-rate monitoring, blood-oxygen measurement, sleep tracking with nap detection, stress monitoring, steps, calories, distance, exercise duration and an Activity Score. It also offers menstrual-cycle tracking, sedentary and hydration reminders, and training-load and recovery-time features. Apple Health, Google Health Connect and Strava integrations are available subject to software and regional support.
These readings and scores are for wellness and personal reference, not medical diagnosis. The watch should not be used to make medical decisions based on heart rate, SpO₂, stress or sleep data.
Battery claims depend on how you use it
Nothing rates the 305mAh battery for up to 11 days of typical use and up to 9 days of heavy use. It also claims up to 25 hours of continuous GPS use and 17.4 hours of Bluetooth calling. These are manufacturer figures, not guaranteed runtimes for every owner. The stated typical-use profile assumes limited screen activations, periodic health checks, notifications, some calls and scheduled GPS use. More frequent tracking and other intensive use affect the heavy-use estimate.

Always-on display makes a substantial difference: Nothing’s support material gives approximately 3.9 days with 12 hours of daily always-on display under its stated heavy-use conditions. GPS sessions, calls, brightness, notifications, workouts, temperature and battery age can all change runtime. The watch uses a dedicated charging dock; Nothing says the Watch Pro 2 dock is interchangeable with the first CMF Watch Pro’s dock, so verify charging compatibility before buying a replacement.

Phone compatibility and everyday software
The watch is designed for Android and iPhone. Nothing’s current compatibility support page lists iOS 12 or later and Android 6.0 or later; app requirements can change, so check them against your phone before purchase.
It provides notifications, Bluetooth calls, weather, calendar, alarms, world clock, stopwatch, timers, calculator, flashlight, Find My Phone, camera remote, music controls, a voice-assistant trigger, quick replies, breathing tools, reminders, customizable watch faces and widgets. Nothing’s support documentation describes the controls: swipe down from the watch face for Quick Settings, swipe up for notifications and use the crown to scroll. Pressing or holding the crown has different functions depending on context; holding it for 10 seconds forces a restart.

Compatibility is not the same as deep integration. The watch does not run Wear OS or watchOS and has no NFC for wrist-based contactless payments. TechRadar’s independent review notes that iPhone notification interactions are more limited than on Apple Watch: users can generally read and dismiss notifications rather than fully answer them, and iOS Focus integration may be limited.

The watch carries an IP68 dust- and water-resistance rating, but that rating should not be treated as permission to swim or shower with it. Nothing’s warnings, as reported in launch coverage and independent reviews, caution against swimming, showering, saunas, steam rooms and water sports. Water resistance can decline through wear, and liquid damage may not be covered by warranty. If you need a watch for regular swimming, choose one whose manufacturer explicitly supports that use.

TechRadar described the watch as good value, with generally responsive day-to-day operation and strong battery life in its testing. The same review reported some quirks, including inconsistent raise-to-wake behavior, imperfect workout detection and an unpleasant vibration motor. These are review observations, not a guarantee that every unit or user will experience the same problems. Automatic workout detection can be enabled at Settings > Workout detection; Nothing says continuous running takes about three minutes to detect, while walking and outdoor cycling take about ten minutes. Detection prompts you to start tracking and may not include the earlier part of an activity.

Who should consider the CMF Watch Pro 2?
It suits budget-conscious buyers who want an AMOLED screen, built-in GPS, Bluetooth calling, basic fitness and smartwatch functions, and a more customizable look than a fixed-bezel design. It can also make sense for iPhone users who mainly want notifications and activity tracking without expecting Apple Watch-level integration.
Look elsewhere if you need NFC payments, Wear OS apps, extensive iPhone features, or a watch intended for swimming. Serious athletes who depend on highly validated training or recovery data should also treat its activity and health metrics as general guidance rather than a substitute for specialized equipment. The circular screen is a design change from the original model’s rectangular display, so it may not suit buyers who prefer the first watch’s larger rectangular format.
