Short answer: the $150 price is conditional, not a verified standard Samsung price. Samsung’s U.S. purchase page lists the Galaxy Buds3 Pro at $249.99; getting to about $150 requires roughly $100 in eligible trade-in credit. Samsung’s live offer depends on the device and its condition, so confirm the credit in checkout before counting on the discount. The newer Galaxy Buds4 Pro are also listed at $249.99, making the older model a good buy only if its effective price is meaningfully lower.

Samsung’s listed price is not the same as a trade-in-adjusted price. The $150 claim could reflect a limited-time boost, a particular device’s credit, or an account-specific offer; the available evidence does not verify it as a generally available U.S. deal. A $150 price before tax would mean Samsung is applying about $100 in credit to the $249.99 list price. That is not necessarily a $100 price cut for everyone. Sales tax, shipping, and any financing terms can change what you pay. A monthly payment is not itself a discount.

- Open Samsung’s Galaxy Buds3 Pro purchase page and select the model and color you want.
- If a trade-in option is offered, choose it and search for the exact manufacturer and model of your old device.
- Answer the condition questions accurately. Do not select a higher-value condition if the device does not qualify.
- Check the credit Samsung applies, whether it is an instant discount or another promotion, and any offer expiration or eligibility terms.
- Review the total at checkout, including tax and shipping, and read the return and trade-in inspection terms before ordering.
Look for a checkout total near $150 before tax, not merely a banner saying “save up to” a stated amount. If Samsung does not show the credit for your device and condition before you commit, do not assume the headline price applies to you.
Which devices may qualify—and what can go wrong?
Samsung’s U.S. trade-in program can accept eligible smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, PCs or laptops, and earbuds. A Galaxy phone is not necessarily required, and some non-Samsung products may qualify. But the eligible-device list and credit can change. An old pair of earbuds does not automatically earn $100; its credit may be much lower or zero. Check Samsung’s trade-in program for current eligibility and terms.

Samsung’s stated requirements generally include that the device powers on and holds a charge, does not shut down unexpectedly, and—where applicable—has a functioning display. Devices must meet the selected condition and cannot have prohibited damage or defects; separate cracked-device offers, if available, have their own terms. The device generally must not be blacklisted or leased, and applicable anti-theft or account locks must be disabled. The displayed credit is conditional on Samsung receiving and inspecting the old device. If it does not match the selected model or condition, does not power on, remains locked, or arrives after the deadline, Samsung may adjust or reverse the credit and charge the payment method. Samsung’s FAQ generally gives customers 15 days after receiving the new device to ship a trade-in. Follow the instructions and label for the order; Samsung says to send only one device per trade-in label. If you return the new product after sending the trade-in, the credit may not be refunded to you as separate value. Review the trade-in FAQ before sending anything.

Are the Galaxy Buds3 Pro still worth buying?
They remain feature-rich wireless earbuds. Samsung lists Bluetooth 5.4, active noise cancellation, Adaptive Noise Control, Adaptive EQ, 360 Audio, six microphones, two-way speakers, Samsung Seamless Codec and SSC-UHQ support, and an IP57 rating. Samsung rates battery life at up to six hours of music playback with ANC enabled, or up to 26 hours including the case. These are Samsung specifications, not a guarantee of real-world performance. The value proposition is strongest for a Galaxy phone owner who receives a substantial trade-in credit, likes the Buds3 Pro fit and design, and does not need the newest generation. It weakens if the credit is small, Buds4 Pro cost the same after promotions, or you use an iPhone or another Android phone and would not benefit from Samsung-specific features. Compatibility for advanced features depends on the device and software; do not assume every feature works on every Bluetooth phone.

Before trading in a valuable phone, watch, or computer, compare Samsung’s offer with its likely private-sale value. A private sale takes more time and can involve marketplace fees, shipping, fraud risk, and negotiation, but it may net more than a trade-in. Samsung’s route is simpler and applies the quoted credit at checkout, but the amount is conditional on inspection.

Samsung lists both the Buds3 Pro and newer Buds4 Pro at $249.99 in the U.S. The Buds4 Pro are therefore the straightforward default if both models have the same effective price—not because every buyer is guaranteed to prefer them, but because they are the newer generation at no higher listed price.

Samsung says the Buds4 Pro bring a redesigned metal-blade design and updated fit, a wider woofer with a diaphragm 19.8% larger than the Buds3 Pro’s, Adaptive ANC 2.0, improved call processing and Super Wideband calling, head gestures for selected controls, and support for up to 24-bit/96kHz Samsung Seamless Codec. Samsung lists IP57 dust and water resistance. These are manufacturer feature claims; they do not establish that every listener will hear or feel an improvement. The Buds3 Pro make sense when their final price is substantially lower, you prefer their fit, or you do not need the newer model’s features. If the checkout price is close to $249.99, compare it with the Buds4 Pro before submitting an old device. Samsung’s product pages do not establish that both generations receive the same trade-in promotion; check each model’s checkout offer separately.
Who should buy—and who should wait?
- Galaxy phone owners: Consider the Buds3 Pro if checkout gives you roughly $100 in credit, you value their Samsung-focused features, and the Buds4 Pro do not have a better effective price.
- iPhone owners: Be cautious about paying a premium for Samsung-specific features you may not be able to use. Compare compatibility and the earbuds’ value as standard Bluetooth headphones before buying.
- Owners of Buds2 Pro or Buds3 Pro: Upgrade only if the new fit, features, or condition of your current earbuds justify the cost. A trade-in headline alone does not make replacement worthwhile.
- People trading in a high-value phone or watch: Compare Samsung’s credit with a realistic resale estimate after fees and effort. Do not sacrifice a device worth more just to make the checkout total look lower.
- Shoppers seeking a lower-priced new Samsung pair: Samsung lists the standard Galaxy Buds4 at $179.99 alongside the Pro model. They may suit buyers who do not need the Pro model’s sealed fit, two-way speakers, or enhanced ANC. Confirm current specifications and price at Samsung checkout.
A retailer may have its own discount or trade-in structure, but a listing alone does not prove a live deal. Compare current price, stock, return policy, and warranty terms; do not assume a retailer matches Samsung’s trade-in value. Samsung’s standard $249.99 price is also the reference point for judging whether another offer is genuinely compelling.
Verdict
Treat “Galaxy Buds3 Pro for $150 with trade-in” as a conditional, potentially stale claim—not a universal current price. Buy at about $150 before tax if Samsung’s live U.S. checkout offers approximately $100 for a device you are willing to surrender, the terms work for you, and the Buds4 Pro do not have a better effective price. Otherwise, compare resale value, check both generations’ live offers, and wait for a clearer discount rather than trading in on the headline alone.
