Google Pixel Watch app version 4.1.0.810754319 refreshes the Android companion app with a redesigned icon and more Material 3 Expressive styling across its feed, menus, and Tiles section. It is an app update—not a Pixel Watch firmware or Wear OS update—and the reported changes are primarily visual.
What changed in Pixel Watch app 4.1?
The update affects the Google Pixel Watch app on Android phones, which owners use to manage their watches. 9to5Google first reported the visual refresh on September 24, 2025, then reported on October 7 that version 4.1.0.810754319 had widely rolled out through the Google Play Store. The report and rollout update describe a new launcher icon and interface changes; they do not present a complete official Google changelog.
“Pixel Watch 4.1” can sound like a watch-software release, but the version number here belongs to the phone app. App and watch software are separate: installing this version does not, by itself, mean your watch received new firmware or a Wear OS update.

The previous app icon used a generic watch illustration with Google’s familiar blue, red, yellow, and green colors. The replacement has a blue-and-purple palette and a more detailed watch drawing, including a curved case, crown, and band. Its pill-shaped hands echo shapes used in Material 3 design.

The 9to5Google report also noted visual similarities to the My Pixel app and contemporaneous icon changes for Alarm, Timer, and Stopwatch. That is a design comparison, not a stated Google rationale for the change.
More Material 3 Expressive in the app
The update extends Google’s Material 3 Expressive design language beyond the icon. The reported changes include a more prominent, carousel-style area at the top of the main feed, with informational cards featuring services and features such as Fitbit, Personal Safety, Gemini, and Wallet.

Second-level menus also have updated styling, with rows placed in separate containers to make sections easier to distinguish. The Tiles area uses similar container treatment. These are presentation and organization changes: the report does not say version 4.1 adds new Fitbit, Gemini, Wallet, or Personal Safety capabilities.

How to check for the update
- On the Android phone paired with your watch, open the Google Play Store.
- Search for the Google Pixel Watch app and open its listing.
- If an Update button appears, tap it and let the installation finish.
- Reopen the app to check its icon, main feed, menus, and Tiles section.
The rollout was reported as wide by October 7, 2025, but that does not guarantee that every account, region, or device received it at the same time. If no update button appears, check the listing again later and look at the installed app version in Android’s app information. An unchanged icon alone is not proof that installation failed; launcher refreshes can sometimes lag behind an app update.

The cards and services shown may vary with a user’s setup, account, phone, or region. The available reporting does not provide a full compatibility matrix, so a missing card should not automatically be treated as an installation problem.

The documented changes point to a design-focused companion-app refresh. The report does not document a Wear OS version change, watch firmware, new sensors or health metrics, new watch faces, battery-management improvements, new notification controls, or performance gains. It also does not establish that version 4.1 is exclusive to Pixel Watch 4; its rollout was reported ahead of that model’s store availability.

- Google Pixel Watch has a beautiful circular, domed design and new experience with Wear OS by Google, so it’s easy to get help at a glance
- Stay on top of activity, calories burned, and more with Fitbit activity tracking
- Track your heart rate and get insight into your sleep
- Save time with things like Google Wallet for contactless payments, turn-by-turn directions using Maps, and event notifications from Calendar
- Stay connected and productive wherever you go; respond to messages, manage your inbox, and make calls right from your wrist
In practical terms, expect a changed app appearance and clearer visual grouping—not a change to what the watch hardware can do. The reported version and rollout dates describe this 2025 release; they do not establish whether it remains the current app version.
