This was a real US Google Store promotion, but it has expired. Reported on December 8, 2024, the offer took 50% off a Pixel Watch 3 when purchased with a Pixel 9-series phone and was scheduled to run through December 28, 2024. It was a bundle discount—not a free watch or a standalone half-price sale. Contemporaneous coverage reported the terms; the original promotion is no longer available.
What the 2024 Pixel Watch 3 deal included
The US Google Store holiday offer paired a qualifying Pixel 9-series phone purchase with 50% off a Pixel Watch 3 selected with it. The eligible phone family was reported to include the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Other discounted Google products, such as the Pixel 8a and Pixel Tablet, were not identified as qualifying phones for this watch discount.
The base Pixel 9 was also discounted by $150, to a reported promotional price of $649 for the 128GB model. That was a separate phone discount, before tax and any trade-in credit or other account-specific offer. It was not a permanent price. These are historical US prices, before applicable sales tax. Bluetooth/Wi-Fi models cost less upfront; LTE models can connect more independently from a phone, but may require compatible carrier service. The watch discount was not a fixed dollar amount: the savings rose with the model’s regular price.
Was the Pixel Watch 3 actually half off on its own?
No. The 50% offer was tied to a Pixel 9-series phone purchase, with the watch selected as part of the qualifying order. The same holiday-deal report listed only $50 off the Pixel Watch 3 as a standalone Google Store discount. It also noted that retailers such as Amazon and Best Buy had previously offered discounts of up to $70.

So the bundle was most compelling for someone already planning to buy both a Pixel 9-series phone and a Pixel Watch 3. Someone who wanted only the watch needed to compare standalone retailer prices instead. A lower phone price elsewhere could also change the total value: the watch savings alone do not prove that the combined purchase was the cheapest option.

Google Store bundle versus Google Fi “free watch” deals
This offer should not be confused with separate Google Fi promotions. The Google Store deal was reported as an upfront 50% watch discount with a qualifying phone purchase. Google Fi offers may instead use monthly bill credits and can have service, activation or eligibility requirements. Some Fi promotions may make a watch effectively free over time for eligible customers, but that does not change the terms of this Google Store bundle.

Do not compare a carrier’s headline credit with a direct-store discount without checking the complete terms, including how long service must be maintained and what happens if a plan changes. - Correct phone: The reported qualifying category was Pixel 9 series—not any Pixel phone. The Pixel 8a and other sale items should not be assumed to qualify.
- Watch selection and stock: The watch had to be selected with the qualifying purchase, and size, color or connectivity availability could affect what was offered.
- Final total: The $649 Pixel 9 price and approximate watch prices were before tax. Trade-in credits, financing, coupons and other account-specific offers were separate; the surviving report does not establish that every offer could be stacked.
- Returns: The available reporting does not preserve all original legal or return terms. For bundled purchases, check the applicable return conditions rather than assuming a partial return leaves the remaining item’s discount unchanged.
Is the offer still available?
No. It was reported on December 8, 2024, with an advertised end date of December 28, 2024, and is expired. The offer was specifically reported for the US Google Store; it should not be generalized to other countries, carrier stores or later Pixel promotions. Current Google Store pages show different products, inventory and offers, not proof of the old terms.
