The original article was a time-sensitive Amazon deal report. Its headline offers were the base 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro, GPS-only Apple Watch Series 10 models, and M2 iPad Air configurations. Because retailer deals depend on inventory, exact configuration, regional availability, and coupon eligibility, the listed prices should not be treated as current buying recommendations in September 2026.

The strongest deal in the January 24, 2025 roundup was the base 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M4 chip, 16GB of unified memory, and a 512GB SSD. Amazon listed it at $1,399, compared with the article’s stated regular price of $1,599, for a reported $200 saving.

The configuration was available in Space Black or Silver. Its appeal was that the discount applied to the least expensive new M4 MacBook Pro rather than only to higher-end M4 Pro configurations. The article described $1,399 as an all-time low at the time, but that claim belongs to the date of publication and should not be read as a permanent product record.
The coupon mattered
This was described as an Amazon on-page coupon deal. That means the effective price was dependent on the coupon being visible and applicable to the selected listing and customer at checkout. A product page showing a similar model does not guarantee the same final price.
Who the historical deal suited
- Buyers who wanted sustained performance above the MacBook Air level.
- Users who valued the MacBook Pro display and port selection.
- Shoppers who wanted 16GB of memory as a baseline.
- Creative or professional users willing to accept 512GB of storage.
The main limitation was storage. Large photo libraries, video projects, games, and development environments can make 512GB restrictive, so a buyer should compare the cost of upgrading storage with the price of a higher-capacity model.

How to judge an M4 deal now
In 2026, an M4 MacBook Pro should be treated as previous-generation or clearance inventory. A substantial discount can still make it attractive if its performance, memory, ports, and display meet the buyer’s needs. However, a newer M5 model may offer a longer remaining product cycle and better resale prospects even when its discount is smaller.
Do not evaluate the deal only against the former $1,599 price. Compare the actual final price with current M5 MacBook Pro offers, confirm that the listing is new rather than renewed or open-box, and check who is selling and fulfilling it. The $329 and $359 headline prices should not be used as a guide to cellular models. GPS Apple Watch models rely on a nearby iPhone or Wi-Fi for many connected functions. GPS + Cellular models can connect independently where supported, but they cost more and may require carrier activation and a recurring service charge.
Choosing 42mm or 46mm
The 42mm model is generally the more compact option, while the 46mm model provides a larger display and may be easier to read or tap. Fit, wrist size, comfort, and band choice matter more than the nominal $30 difference. Confirm the case size and included band before comparing prices.

The original article also noted that some configurations were temporarily out of stock while still accepting orders at the discounted price. That can mean delayed shipping rather than immediate availability. In 2026, compare a discounted Series 10 with Series 11 pricing before buying; if the gap is small, the newer generation is usually the more sensible long-term purchase. The roundup said that most of the more affordable M2 iPad Air configurations received direct discounts of about $99 on Amazon. The available historical information does not establish a complete model-by-model list, so it would be misleading to assign that discount to every size, color, storage tier, or connectivity option.

- Screen size: 11-inch and 13-inch models are not interchangeable value comparisons.
- Connectivity: Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular versions have different prices and use cases.
- Storage: the cheapest listing may have a capacity that is unsuitable for the intended apps and files.
- Generation: an M2 model is previous-generation hardware against the current M4 iPad Air family.
- Included accessories: an Apple Pencil, keyboard, case, or other accessories can materially raise the total cost.
The M2 iPad Air was a strong middle ground for buyers who wanted more performance than the base iPad without paying iPad Pro prices. But a $99 reduction alone does not establish good value in 2026. Compare the final price of the exact M2 configuration with current M4 models, especially if long-term support, resale value, or cellular connectivity matters. Additional accessory: Thunderbolt 4 USB-C Pro Cable for $35
The article also highlighted an Apple Thunderbolt 4 USB-C Pro Cable at $35, described as 50% off and a clearance deal. It was a secondary accessory offer rather than one of the main hardware discounts.
A Thunderbolt cable is relevant for compatible Macs, docks, displays, and fast external storage, but buyers should check the requirements of their particular setup.
