Huawei launched the Watch Fit 2 in India on August 7, 2024, with a 1.74-inch AMOLED display, built-in satellite positioning and all-day heart-rate monitoring. The launch listing was the Midnight Black Active Edition at ₹9,998, with a launch promotion reported at ₹8,999. It is an older model, first introduced in selected European markets in 2022, and a price tracker showed it unavailable in India in July 2026. Treat it as a past launch rather than a reliably available current buy.
India launch price and current availability
The India launch listing was for the Midnight Black Active Edition, priced at ₹9,998. Launch coverage also reported a promotional price of ₹8,999; that was a launch offer, not a current price. The Classic and Elegant editions were part of the wider international range, but broad India availability of those versions was not established. Gadgets 360’s launch report and Gizmochina’s report date the India launch to August 7, 2024.
As of July 2026, a Gadgets 360 price tracker referenced about ₹9,999 but marked the watch unavailable or out of stock. Stock can change, so check a live listing rather than relying on old launch coverage. The model had already debuted in selected European markets in May 2022.

Huawei’s official specifications give the display, dimensions, weights and connectivity. The rectangular panel is larger than the 1.64-inch display on the earlier Watch Fit. Huawei advertises always-on display and watch-face support; using an always-on display can affect battery life.

Built-in GPS and workout tracking
The Watch Fit 2 has its own satellite positioning, so it can record outdoor route and location data without relying on a paired phone’s GPS. Launch coverage lists GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS. This is different from a watch that only borrows location from a connected phone. Onboard GPS does not guarantee a precise track: buildings, trees, tunnels, route conditions and time to acquire a satellite fix can affect results. Indoor workouts do not produce meaningful GPS routes, and frequent GPS use reduces battery endurance.
Launch coverage reports 97 workout modes. It also lists step, calorie and activity tracking. Use these features for exercise and activity context, not as a promise that every workout metric will be equally accurate in every setting.
What its heart-rate and health tracking can tell you
Huawei describes the watch’s optical sensor and TruSeen technology as providing continuous or all-day heart-rate monitoring. “24-hour” tracking means periodic wrist-based wellness measurements across the day, not a medical ECG or a clinically validated uninterrupted recording. A loose fit, movement, poor skin contact, tattoos, sweat, temperature and exercise intensity can affect readings. Heart-rate trends and alerts can provide fitness context, but they do not diagnose a condition.

Other reported wellness features include blood-oxygen (SpO₂) monitoring, sleep tracking with TruSleep, stress monitoring with TruRelax, menstrual-cycle tracking and activity summaries. These are wellness estimates, not diagnostic tests for sleep disorders, stress disorders, low blood oxygen or other medical conditions. Wrist SpO₂ readings in particular should not be used to diagnose illness or decide whether urgent care is needed.
Design, calls and everyday features
The Active Edition has a polymer case and weighs about 26 g without its strap. The international Classic Edition has an aluminium front case, polymer rear and weighs about 30 g without its strap. Huawei lists wrist-size ranges of approximately 130–210 mm for Active and 140–210 mm for Classic. The India launch listing identified the Active Edition, so do not assume the other finishes or case materials were broadly sold locally.
Bluetooth calling uses the watch’s microphone and speaker but depends on a paired phone’s cellular connection; the Watch Fit 2 is not an independent LTE phone. Keep the phone nearby and connected to take calls. Launch coverage also lists music playback, notifications and downloadable watch faces. Huawei’s specifications indicate NFC is not supported on the Active Edition, so do not assume it can make contactless payments or use transit cards.

Battery and water resistance
Huawei claims up to 10 days of battery life with typical use and up to 7 days with heavy use. These are manufacturer figures based on defined usage assumptions, not guaranteed results for every owner. Huawei’s methodology includes enabled heart-rate and sleep tracking, notifications, periodic workouts, Bluetooth calling or audio use, and repeated screen activation. GPS frequency, brightness, always-on display, call time, notifications, music use and workout habits can all change endurance. The 5 ATM rating suits shallow-water activities such as pool swimming, but it is not a promise of safe use at an actual depth of 50 metres. Huawei cautions against diving, waterskiing, high-velocity water and deep submersion. Follow the manufacturer’s care guidance for water exposure.
Phone compatibility and platform differences
Huawei lists Android 6.0 or later and iOS 9.0 or later as compatible. The watch is managed through Huawei Health. Basic compatibility does not mean every feature works the same way on both platforms: Huawei’s compatibility table indicates differences in notifications and quick replies. In particular, iPhone users should not expect Android-style message replies. Check that Huawei Health can be installed and updated on your specific phone before buying.

Should you buy the Watch Fit 2 in 2026?
Consider it only if you find a genuine unit at a substantial discount and can verify the seller, condition, return protection and India warranty. The Watch Fit 2 combines onboard GPS, a bright large-format AMOLED screen, a lightweight Active Edition, Bluetooth calling and a long manufacturer-stated battery life. Those strengths do not erase its age: it launched in India in 2024 and internationally in 2022, and recent India tracker data showed it unavailable.
- It may suit you if you want a simple fitness-oriented watch with its own GPS and find a confirmed new unit with dependable local coverage.
- Skip it if a listing is near ₹10,000 but lacks a clear India warranty, invoice or return window, or if you need current software support, a broad app ecosystem, contactless payments or assured local after-sales service.
Before paying, confirm the exact edition and colour; whether the unit is new, refurbished, imported or used; seller identity and invoice; India warranty terms; return and dead-on-arrival protection; inclusion of the correct charger and strap; and whether the watch has already been activated or paired. Huawei provides Watch Fit support and a watch support entry point, but those pages alone do not establish India warranty coverage for a particular marketplace listing.
