Short answer: A Galaxy Watch Ultra listing around $199.95 has appeared at Best Buy, but the evidence does not support calling it a universal, no-strings-attached Black Friday price. The listing refers to a 2025 47mm LTE model and includes “free 2 years of data and texting,” so buyers must verify activation terms, condition, seller, and the final checkout total.
Samsung’s U.S. list price for the Galaxy Watch Ultra is $649.99. Black Friday 2025 coverage supported considerably smaller standard discounts—around $100 at Best Buy—while earlier promotions reportedly cut more than $200 from the price. As of September 2026, those Black Friday offers are historical and expired unless a retailer has separately revived them.
Where the $199 Galaxy Watch Ultra price comes from
The approximately $199.95 figure is associated with a specific Best Buy listing for the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025). Its title mentions two years of data and texting, which makes it different from a typical standalone smartwatch listing.

What the $649.99 reference price means
Samsung lists the Galaxy Watch Ultra as a premium 47mm LTE smartwatch with a U.S. MSRP of $649.99. Samsung’s official Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) product page and its wearables MSRP documentation support that list price for SM-L705-series variants.
MSRP is a useful comparison point, but it is not necessarily the watch’s normal street price. A $199.95 offer should be compared with recent sale prices for the same model and condition—not only with the original list price.
Is it the Ultra or a cheaper Galaxy Watch?
Model confusion is a likely explanation for some $199 Black Friday headlines. Deal coverage has associated prices near $199 with the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch 8, and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, while the Ultra has generally been reported at a higher sale price.

Before buying, confirm all of these details:
- Product: Galaxy Watch Ultra, not Galaxy Watch 7, Watch 8, or Watch 8 Classic.
- Year: Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) if that is the advertised SKU, rather than the original 2024 model.
- Size: 47mm.
- Connectivity: LTE, rather than a Bluetooth-only model.
- Model number: An SM-L705-series identifier is associated with the U.S. Ultra LTE variants.
- Condition: New, open-box, refurbished, or marketplace inventory.
- Contents: Band, charger, packaging, and warranty coverage.

If reaching $199 requires surrendering an eligible smartwatch, the watch is not simply $199 in the same sense as a new retail unit sold with no trade-in. Check the trade-in value separately, especially if the old watch could be sold privately or retained as a backup.

Buy if the live cart shows a new Galaxy Watch Ultra matching the advertised model, the final price really is about $199, and you specifically want a large premium LTE watch with Samsung’s rugged Ultra positioning.

Be cautious if the offer requires activation, includes a service commitment, is sold by a marketplace vendor, or is open-box or refurbished. Those conditions can make the headline price much less compelling, and warranty and return terms may differ.
Choose a cheaper Galaxy Watch if you mainly want notifications, health tracking, exercise features, and Samsung ecosystem integration. Coverage from Android Central and Electrek associated approximately $199 pricing with some non-Ultra models, which may be the better value for ordinary smartwatch use.
