Lava launched the ProWatch V1 in India on January 10, 2025, with silicone-strap versions priced from Rs 2,399. It pairs a 1.85-inch AMOLED display and an octagonal design with fitness tracking, Bluetooth calling and IP68-rated water and dust resistance. Its GPS is described as assisted GPS (A-GPS), not clearly documented standalone GPS; Lava’s official store showed the watch unavailable when checked on August 18, 2026.
Price, variants and current availability
The launch prices below were reported for the Indian market. The Rs 2,399 figure is the announced starting/list price, not a confirmed current transaction price.

FoneArena also reported a temporary Flipkart launch promotion at Rs 1,999; that was a promotional price, not the standard launch price. Lava’s official V1 page continued to show a price from Rs 2,399 but displayed the watch as unavailable when checked on August 18, 2026. The official smartwatch collection also showed an unavailable/sold-out status at that time. Stock and prices can change, so check the seller’s live listing before ordering. Display and design
The V1 has a 1.85-inch AMOLED panel with a 390 × 450-pixel resolution. Gadgets 360 reported a 60Hz refresh rate and brightness up to 500 nits; these are launch specifications, not independent test results. The official listing names Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Lava’s octagonal case and display styling set it apart from the more common round and rectangular budget-watch designs.

Controls include a rotating crown or scroll button for navigation and a second physical button reported to provide quick access to sports modes. Buyers could choose silicone or metal-strap configurations; the metal variants were reported to include a spare silicone strap. Launch coverage described salt-spray testing of the metal finishes, but that manufacturer claim does not establish how they will hold up to long-term everyday wear. GPS and fitness features
Lava’s listing calls the V1’s location feature assisted GPS, or A-GPS. The available V1 specifications do not clearly establish standalone GPS that can record an outdoor route without a connected phone. If phone-free route tracking is essential, confirm that capability with the seller before buying rather than relying on the unqualified word “GPS.” Lava’s higher-positioned ProWatch X and ProWatch Xtreme pages explicitly advertise in-built GPS.
Launch material lists more than 110 sports modes and a VC9213 PPG sensor, alongside heart-rate, blood-oxygen (SpO2), sleep and stress monitoring. The feature list also includes activity tracking, Bluetooth calling, voice-assistant support, built-in games, more than 100 watch faces and quick replies where supported by the connected phone and software. A long list of modes does not establish the quality of their tracking: independent accuracy and reliability results are not established here. The official user manual says health data is for reference, not medical use. Treat readings as wellness estimates, not diagnosis or a substitute for medical advice.

The V1 is marketed as IP68-rated, but the manual gives narrower practical limits: normal use such as handwashing and rain, or immersion in fresh water to a maximum depth of 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes. It warns against hot water. That guidance does not amount to a general guarantee for swimming, seawater, hot showers, saunas or high-pressure water.
Launch coverage reports a 270mAh battery, a Realtek 8773 chipset and Bluetooth 5.3. The battery capacity is a reported specification; the available information does not establish independently verified battery endurance. Lava also describes a “2.5D GPU Animation Engine,” but no measured performance improvement is established. The specifications were reported by ETTelecom and FoneArena.
App setup and phone compatibility
The manual names Lava’s Prospot app and explicitly lists compatibility with Android 10 and above. It does not establish iPhone/iOS compatibility, so iPhone owners should verify support with Lava before purchasing.
- Install the Prospot app from the Google Play Store, or scan the QR code shown on the watch.
- Register or sign in, then keep the watch close to the phone.
- Allow the app to search for and connect to the Prowatch, and grant the phone permissions needed for the features you want to use.
For outdoor location features, pair the watch and app first and check the phone’s location permissions. A-GPS wording alone is not confirmation that the watch will record a route independently.
Warranty and buying checks
Lava’s product page advertises a two-year warranty, while its page title refers to a “24 Months Replacement Warranty.” The precise coverage, exclusions and replacement conditions are not established by that headline claim; check Lava’s warranty documentation and the seller’s terms before paying. For an older watch with uncertain stock, also confirm the exact variant, return window and whether the seller is authorized.
- Buy only if the V1 is actually in stock at a price you accept; its official store listing showed it unavailable on August 18, 2026.
- Choose it for the AMOLED display, octagonal styling and basic connected-watch features, not on an assumption of standalone GPS.
- Confirm Android compatibility, warranty terms and returns before ordering; iOS support is not verified by the manual.
- If phone-free location tracking is a requirement, compare a model whose official specifications explicitly say in-built GPS.
Launch reports characterized the V1 as a follow-up to Lava’s ProWatch VN, but the key buying distinction is its own feature set and availability, not that positioning.
