Mobvoi added a Slate finish to the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro on June 26, 2024, at the same U.S. list price as the original Obsidian version: $349.99. Slate is a color option, not a new hardware model; the watch’s specifications and software remain the same.
What’s new: a second finish
The Enduro launched in May 2024 in Obsidian. Slate gives buyers another look: launch coverage describes it as gray with a blue-green tint and a lighter-colored ring around the display. The change is cosmetic, with no Slate-specific processor, display, battery, sensors, or software announced. 9to5Google’s launch report covered the color’s introduction and original price.
At launch, Mobvoi offered the watch through its own store and Amazon. That historical availability does not guarantee current stock. Mobvoi’s U.S. collection listed the Enduro at $349.99 in the latest available pricing check, but a general product listing does not confirm that Slate is in stock. Check the color selector and checkout availability before ordering; promotions, tax, and shipping can change the amount paid.

The Enduro hardware Slate shares
Slate has the same Enduro features as Obsidian: a Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 platform, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 628mAh typical-capacity battery. Its 1.43-inch, 466 × 466 AMOLED screen is paired with an ultra-low-power display, and the main screen is protected by sapphire crystal. Mobvoi lists Wear OS 3.5.

The secondary display is central to the Enduro’s appeal: it can show the time and selected information while using less power than the AMOLED screen. Mobvoi advertises up to 90 hours in Smart Mode and up to 45 days in Essential Mode. These are “up to” figures, not a promise of typical daily runtime; settings and use, including GPS, notifications, workouts, and display behavior, affect battery life.
Mobvoi also lists 5ATM water resistance, MIL-STD-810H durability, built-in GPS with GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS support, and more than 110 workout modes. Health and wellness functions include heart-rate and blood-oxygen readings, sleep and stress tracking, snoring detection, VO2 Max, and recovery-time estimates. These are not medical diagnoses or treatment tools. Google Wallet is supported where available, subject to country and device restrictions. Mobvoi specifies Android 8.0 or later, with exclusions including Android Go and phones lacking the required Google Play services or Play Store. The watch is not compatible with iPhones. Its 5ATM rating and stated suitability for open-water swimming do not make it appropriate for scuba diving or high-speed water activities; follow Mobvoi’s water-use guidance.

The Slate launch was a useful choice for shoppers who preferred that finish, but it did not make the Enduro a new generation. Its meaningful advantages over the standard TicWatch Pro 5 include sapphire crystal, a revised exterior, and higher advertised endurance. Review coverage characterized the Enduro as a relatively modest update, while Wear OS 3.5 was already a software drawback. Price makes the choice harder now. Mobvoi’s U.S. collection listed the Enduro and the newer TicWatch Atlas at $349.99 in the latest available check. The Atlas is listed with Wear OS 4 and features including fall detection, so it is an important same-price comparison if you do not specifically want Slate. Confirm current configurations and availability on Mobvoi’s Atlas page; list prices and stock can change.
Consider the Enduro if you want its dual-display design, rugged positioning, long advertised battery life, or Slate finish—and you use a compatible Android phone. It makes less sense at full price if current software is a priority or the Atlas is available for the same amount. A substantial discount could improve its value. The standard TicWatch Pro 5 may also be worth considering if discounted, but Mobvoi lists an earlier platform and Gorilla Glass rather than the Enduro’s sapphire cover; compare current specifications and prices before choosing.
