OnePlus 15 U.S. preorders opened at 11 a.m. Eastern time on Thursday, December 4, 2025. The launch promotion let each qualifying buyer choose one free accessory—rather than receiving both a watch and earbuds—while supplies lasted. That preorder window and its launch gifts are historical as of August 18, 2026; check the live OnePlus store for current pricing and promotions.
When OnePlus 15 preorders opened
OnePlus initially accepted U.S. preorders through its own online store at 11 a.m. ET on December 4, 2025. Launch coverage said Amazon and Best Buy were not accepting these preorders at the outset. A preorder secured an order before broad retail availability; it was not the same thing as the phone becoming generally available.
OnePlus and launch reports estimated shipping at roughly two weeks, with some orders showing arrival around December 23, 2025. Delivery depended on configuration, selected gift, inventory and order time, so those estimates should not be treated as current shipping promises.
The launch bundles were first-come, first-served. A later report said the Watch 3 gift had already sold out after preorders began, but that was a post-launch inventory report, not a current stock statement.

These were launch prices announced by OnePlus, not guaranteed August 2026 prices. OnePlus cautioned that U.S. pricing and availability could change with market conditions. The 512GB model cost $100 more and was the only configuration eligible for the Watch 3 gift.
The four preorder gift choices
Each qualifying purchase could select one available add-on, subject to eligibility and inventory. “Free watch, earbuds” did not mean every order received both products.

The gift values and limited-stock terms were reported in 9to5Google’s launch coverage. The Watch 3’s compatibility should be checked against the current OnePlus Watch support information before buying for a non-OnePlus phone.

Which bundle was the best value?
Highest advertised value
Purely by listed retail value, the 16GB/512GB OnePlus 15 with the $299.99 Watch 3 was the strongest launch bundle. However, the watch was not available with the $899.99 model, so obtaining it required buying the phone configuration that cost $100 more.
Best practical choice
- Choose the Watch 3 if you genuinely wanted a smartwatch and valued the extra storage and memory. Do not upgrade solely for the watch unless its standalone usefulness justifies the more expensive phone.
- Choose the Buds Pro 3 if you already had a watch or would use wireless earbuds every day.
- Choose the AIRVOOC charger only if you owned compatible OnePlus charging hardware and wanted a wireless accessory.
- Choose the case if you would otherwise buy phone protection. It had the lowest nominal value but could have been the most useful option for some buyers.
Advertised retail value is not resale value. If many buyers selected the watch, additional secondhand supply could reduce what it fetched later; that is a market possibility, not a verified resale price.
Trade-in and accessory incentives
Launch coverage reported a $100 instant credit for an eligible any-condition, any-phone trade-in, a further $100 cashback bonus when a purchase included a trade-in, and up to 30% off additional accessories. Those headlines did not mean every buyer automatically received $200 off.

The eligible devices, inspection requirements, submission deadline, cashback method and stacking rules needed to be confirmed in the applicable OnePlus checkout and promotion terms. Calculate the deal using the guaranteed credit you actually qualify for, and compare it with the amount you could obtain by selling your old phone independently.
What the OnePlus 15 offered
According to OnePlus’ specifications and launch announcement, the phone included a 7,300mAh battery, a 165Hz display, OxygenOS 16 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform. Its rear camera system used three 50MP cameras, including a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom and 7x optical-quality zoom. Connectivity specifications included Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.
OnePlus claimed IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection ratings. Those are manufacturer specifications, not an independent durability test. Water resistance can diminish over time, and OnePlus describes its protection in terms of fresh water and normal use; “water-resistant” does not mean suitable for diving or seawater exposure.
The phone also included a three-month Google AI Pro trial with 2TB of storage for eligible users. The stated redemption deadline was August 1, 2026, so it should not be treated as an active bonus on August 18, 2026. Bottom line for buyers today
For the December 2025 launch, the 16GB/512GB phone paired with the Watch 3 delivered the largest advertised accessory value, while the earbuds, charger or case could have been better practical choices depending on what you already owned. The preorder gifts, stock urgency and shipping estimates belonged to that 2025 event. In August 2026, use the official OnePlus 15 page to verify the current price, inventory and promotions instead of relying on expired launch terms.
