OPPO opened reservations in China for the Find N5 foldable phone and Watch X2 smartwatch on February 6, 2025, ahead of the companies’ February 20 launch event. This was a China-market pre-order campaign—not confirmation of worldwide retail availability, final pricing, or guaranteed shipment.
The Find N5 was later launched in China from RMB 8,999. Overseas buyers should treat an imported Chinese model cautiously: software, Google services, network compatibility, warranty coverage, watch features, and health functions may differ by region.
What happened
OPPO began accepting Chinese reservations for the Find N5 and Watch X2 before the February 20, 2025 launch event. Contemporary coverage described reservation pages on OPPO’s official online store and major Chinese e-commerce platforms.

Depending on the channel, buyers may have been registering interest, securing a purchase opportunity, paying a deposit, or claiming launch benefits. The available pre-launch information did not establish that every reservation guaranteed stock or immediate shipment. Buyers needed to check the Chinese store’s terms for deposit requirements, deadlines, account or phone-number restrictions, benefit eligibility, and refund rules.

Timeline and pricing
- February 6, 2025: Chinese reservations were reported to have opened.
- February 20, 2025: OPPO held the Chinese launch event for both products.
- February 20, 2025: The Find N5 was reported to start at RMB 8,999. That was a post-launch price, not necessarily the amount required at the reservation stage.
- February 20, 2025: OPPO also held a global Find N5 launch event in Singapore, although availability varied by market.
OPPO’s current Chinese event page presents the products as launched rather than merely upcoming. The original headline therefore describes a February 2025 event, not a current pre-order opportunity.
Find N5: what was known
The Find N5 is a book-style foldable positioned around a thin folded profile and a large inner screen. OPPO’s Chinese specification page lists:

Refresh-rate behavior is adaptive and can depend on software. The memory configurations and physical measurements above come from OPPO’s Chinese product page and should not be assumed to apply identically to every regional edition.
OPPO also says the hinge plates and exterior construction use 3D-printed ultra-thin titanium-alloy components. That is a manufacturer claim about specified components, not evidence that the entire phone is made from titanium or independently verified proof of durability.

Watch X2: the pre-order companion
OPPO promoted the Watch X2 alongside the Find N5, highlighting a titanium bezel and a “60-second health check” feature in its Chinese wearable messaging. Those claims describe OPPO’s product positioning; they should not be interpreted as proof that the watch provides medical-grade measurements.
The pre-order information available for this event did not provide a complete, reliably verifiable table covering every Chinese Watch X2 variant, price, case size, battery mode, LTE option, software version, sensor, water-resistance rating, and health-feature authorization. Those details matter because cellular service, payments, emergency functions, phone compatibility, and health measurements can be restricted by market, hardware, software, or regulation.

International readers should also avoid assuming that the Chinese Watch X2 is identical to a global OnePlus Watch 3, a later OPPO watch, or another Wear OS product. OPPO’s global compatibility notices should not automatically be applied to the Chinese model.

“Available in China” does not establish availability in the United States, Europe, or any other market. It also does not guarantee:

OPPO’s global materials state that software, features, release timing, and availability vary by region. They also specify compatibility conditions for the global wearable offering, including a supported Android device with the required Google Mobile Services version; iOS and Android Go devices are excluded from those stated requirements. That does not prove equivalent support for the Chinese Watch X2.
Should you buy an imported model?
A China-based OPPO user who already has access to domestic sales channels, support, payment services, and compatible software could reasonably consider a reservation if the benefits and allocation terms were clear.
For buyers elsewhere, waiting for an official regional model is usually the lower-risk choice. Before importing, verify all of the following with the exact model number and seller:

- 4G and 5G bands, VoLTE, and Wi-Fi calling in your country.
- Whether Google Play, Google certification, banking apps, streaming services, and Android Auto work normally.
- Supported languages and the expected firmware-update path.
- Whether the watch works with your phone and region, including LTE, payments, notifications, and emergency features.
- Which advertised health measurements are actually enabled and authorized locally.
- Import taxes, return rights, repair arrangements, and whether OPPO’s local subsidiary will honor the warranty.
- Whether a reservation is a refundable deposit, a final order, a coupon, or merely a place in a queue.
The key distinction
The February 6 report established that OPPO had opened Chinese reservations. It did not, by itself, establish final specifications, complete pricing, worldwide availability, guaranteed allocation, or identical software across markets. The Find N5’s later RMB 8,999 starting price and the February 20 launch belong to the subsequent product announcement.
