Update: Oura Ring 4 Ceramic fell from £499 to £449 in the UK during a Boxing Day promotion that ran from 22 December 2025 to 5 January 2026. That £50 offer has now ended, so this is a retrospective deal report rather than a live UK buying opportunity.
The discount applied to the premium Ceramic Collection, not every Oura Ring 4 model. T3 described £449 as the lowest price it had seen for the ceramic versions; that is not the same as an independently verified all-time low.

Which finishes were included?
Oura’s Ceramic Collection comprises four named finishes:
- Midnight: a deep blue finish.
- Cloud: a soft off-white shade with a warm-grey hint.
- Tide
- Petal
Those are the Ceramic Collection colourways identified on Oura’s product page. Stock was not necessarily identical across every finish and size, however. A colourway could remain listed while a particular size was unavailable, so buyers needed to check the combination of finish, size and delivery availability rather than assume that the whole collection was in stock.
What makes Oura Ring 4 Ceramic different?
The Ceramic model has a zirconia ceramic exterior and a titanium inner shell. Standard Oura Ring 4 models use titanium externally, with finish-specific PVD or DLC coatings. The ceramic construction is the main reason for the higher hardware price and more jewellery-like appearance.

Oura says the Ceramic version uses the same Smart Sensing approach and core sensor categories as the standard Ring 4. In other words, the premium is primarily for the material, finish and feel—not a separate sensing platform.
The “jewellery-grade” wording comes from the deal coverage. Oura describes the material as high-performance zirconia ceramic. It should not be interpreted as precious-metal jewellery or as a scratch-proof coating.

What does the ring track?
Oura Ring 4 Ceramic is intended for passive health and wellness tracking rather than smartwatch-style interaction. Its features include:
- Sleep score and sleep-stage information.
- Heart rate and heart-rate variability.
- Blood-oxygen sensing during sleep.
- Temperature trends.
- Activity tracking and automatic activity detection.
- Readiness and recovery insights.
- Stress and resilience features.
- Women’s-health and cycle-related features.
- Estimates such as cardio capacity and cardiovascular age.
These are wellness metrics and estimates, not a diagnosis. The ring is not a replacement for clinical monitoring, medical advice or an emergency device. Oura’s feature set is strongest for people who want sleep, recovery and longer-term trend information in a discreet form factor.
Battery life, charging and water resistance
Oura quotes five to eight days of typical battery life for Ring 4 and Ring 4 Ceramic. Actual runtime depends on ring size, settings, configuration, usage and battery age, so “up to eight days” is not a guaranteed result. Charging generally takes 20 to 80 minutes, depending on the starting charge level.
According to Oura’s specifications, Ring 4 has water resistance rated at 100m / 328ft and is suitable for sauna use and water sports, but not diving. Water resistance should not be treated as a guarantee of unlimited exposure or unchanged finish and battery longevity.
The membership changes the value calculation
The £449 hardware price was only the starting cost. Oura’s broader insights ecosystem requires a membership after the introductory period. Oura’s product information lists US membership at $5.99 per month or $69.99 per year before tax, with a free trial month advertised for new members. Local pricing, tax and membership terms can differ by market and may change, so UK buyers should confirm the current terms before ordering.

The exact UK total must be checked in the UK storefront. The important point is that a £50 hardware saving does not remove the ongoing subscription cost. If you want a wearable that remains fully useful without a recurring plan, the Oura proposition deserves more scrutiny.
Is the ceramic finish durable?
Ceramic is not scratch-proof. Oura warns that its rings can be scratched and can also scratch softer jewellery or other objects. Wear-and-tear damage is not covered by the warranty.
To reduce cosmetic damage, Oura recommends wearing the ring on the non-dominant hand, avoiding adjacent rings and removing it during high-friction activities such as weightlifting or handling metal, ceramic or stone objects. That advice matters more with the Ceramic model because the finish is a central reason to pay extra for it.

- Confirm that you are buying Oura Ring 4, not Ring 5.
- Use the generation-specific Ring 4 sizing kit, which covers sizes 4–15.
- Try the sample size on the finger you intend to use and allow for changes in finger size during the day.
- Check the selected finish and size together before completing the order.
- Wear the ring with its sensors aligned towards the palm side for the intended fit and readings.
Ring 5 sizing kits are different and cover sizes 6–13, so a Ring 5 kit should not be assumed to work for a Ring 4 purchase. See Oura’s Ring 4 sizing guidance before ordering.
Should you choose Ceramic or standard Oura Ring 4?

The Ceramic model is thicker and heavier than the titanium Ring 4. That difference is modest on paper but relevant if you dislike jewellery on your finger or regularly perform activities where a ring gets knocked or rubbed.
Current-price update: do not confuse US pricing with the old UK deal
The £449 UK offer ended on 5 January 2026. A later-accessed US Oura store page displayed Oura Ring 4 Ceramic at $399, reduced from $499 for visible Midnight and Cloud listings. The same store showed standard Oura Ring 4 pricing from $349 and also listed the newer Oura Ring 5.
Those are US price signals, not proof that the old £449 UK price is live or that it applies to every finish. Check the relevant country storefront for the current price, taxes, delivery terms, stock and available sizes before buying.
Verdict
The 2025 Boxing Day promotion was a genuine £50 reduction on Oura Ring 4 Ceramic, but the deal has expired. At £449, it made the ceramic finish more compelling for buyers who cared about appearance and wanted Oura’s sleep and recovery ecosystem. It was less compelling for anyone focused on minimum weight, the lowest upfront cost or avoiding subscriptions.
If a comparable UK discount returns, buy the Ceramic model only if its design advantage matters to you, the correct size is available and you are comfortable with the membership cost. Otherwise, standard Oura Ring 4 is the more rational value choice, while buyers who prioritise the newest generation should compare Ring 5 before committing to discounted older hardware.
