The Realme Watch 5 launched in India on December 4, 2025, alongside the Realme P4x 5G. It combines a 1.97-inch AMOLED display, independent GPS, Bluetooth calling, IP68 protection and 108 sports modes. Its launch price was ₹4,499, while a limited introductory offer brought it down to ₹3,999.
For buyers shopping around ₹4,000–₹4,500, the Watch 5 is best viewed as a feature-rich fitness and notification watch—not a full Wear OS smartwatch or a phone replacement. Current prices vary, so check the official Realme product page and live seller listings before purchasing.
Realme Watch 5 price and availability in India
Realme announced the Watch 5 in India on December 4, 2025, with the Realme P4x 5G. The first sale began on December 10, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. IST through the Realme India e-store, Flipkart and mainline retail channels.

Because the figures come from different dates and sellers, do not assume that ₹3,999 remains available. Coupons, colour, stock and region can change the final price.

Launch coverage from Gadgets 360 reported the original pricing and sale timing, while Reliance Digital’s listing showed a ₹4,499 selling price against a ₹7,999 MRP.

Display and design
The Watch 5 has a large 1.97-inch AMOLED panel with 390 × 450-pixel resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits of claimed brightness. AMOLED gives the watch strong contrast, deep blacks and a more polished appearance than a typical LCD at this price.
The screen is covered by 2D flat glass. The watch uses a metallic unibody-style design with an aluminium-alloy functional crown, 22mm removable straps and more than 300 customisable watch faces. The colour names can vary between reports and sellers; launch coverage lists Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, Mint Blue and Vibrant Orange. Match the colour name and SKU shown on the live product listing.
AMOLED does not automatically guarantee perfect outdoor visibility or sophisticated automatic brightness control. Screen brightness, always-on display use and frequent notifications will also affect battery life.

Independent GPS: useful, but not a phone replacement
The Watch 5 includes independent GPS and is reported to support five GNSS systems, along with a compass. That means it can record positioning for walks, runs and other outdoor workouts without relying entirely on a paired phone.
However, GPS support does not mean the watch provides cellular connectivity, mobile data, phone-free calling, full maps or guaranteed turn-by-turn navigation. Bluetooth calling normally still requires a compatible smartphone nearby. GPS accuracy can also vary with buildings, trees, weather and satellite visibility, and no independent GPS accuracy test was established in the available launch material.
GPS use generally consumes more power than ordinary watch use, so buyers should not expect the maximum battery claim during frequent outdoor tracking.

Sports and fitness tracking
Realme lists 108 sports modes, guided workouts, stretching tools, breathing training with three modes and a personal-coach function. Secondary launch coverage also reports auto workout detection and VO₂ Max estimation.

The large mode count is useful for activity variety, but it should not be confused with equally detailed tracking for every sport. Serious runners and cyclists should look for independently tested GPS performance, training-load analysis, recovery metrics and route features before choosing this watch.
Health features and their limits
The Watch 5 reports heart-rate monitoring, SpO₂ measurement, sleep tracking, stress tracking, steps, activity and calorie-related metrics, as well as menstrual-cycle management.
These are wellness features, not medical diagnostic tools. Readings can be affected by fit, movement, skin contact and environmental conditions. Do not use the watch to diagnose a condition or make medical decisions, and treat unusual readings as a reason to consult a qualified healthcare professional rather than as a diagnosis.

With a built-in microphone and loudspeaker, the Watch 5 supports Bluetooth calling when paired with a compatible smartphone. It can therefore handle short calls and notifications from the wrist, but it is not an LTE watch and cannot replace a phone for independent communication.

The watch works with the Realme Link companion app for setup, device management, health data and watch-face customisation. Feature availability can depend on the phone’s operating system and current app support, so check compatibility before buying—especially if you use an iPhone.
NFC is listed among the connectivity features. That does not by itself confirm support for contactless payments in India. Buyers should not purchase it specifically for payments without an official service-compatibility statement.

Realme and retailer specifications quote up to 16 days in standard-use conditions and up to 20 days in Light Mode. A retailer listing quotes up to six days with the always-on display enabled.
These are manufacturer or retailer claims, not independently measured results. GPS, Bluetooth calling, frequent health measurements, notifications, high brightness and always-on display use can reduce endurance substantially. Secondary launch coverage also flags slow charging as a potential drawback.

The IP68 rating offers specified laboratory resistance against dust and water exposure, but it is not an unlimited “waterproof” guarantee. Check Realme’s care and warranty terms before using the watch in pools, seawater, hot water or areas exposed to high-pressure water. It is not a clear substitute for a watch designed specifically for diving.
Who should buy the Realme Watch 5?
- Budget buyers who want a large AMOLED display near ₹4,000–₹4,500.
- Walkers and casual runners who want independent route tracking without carrying a phone on every workout.
- Realme users who are comfortable with the Realme Link ecosystem.
- Everyday users who want Bluetooth calling, notifications, long claimed battery life and a metal-style design.
Who should skip it?
- Users who need Wear OS, third-party apps or a broad smartwatch app store.
- Athletes who require independently validated GPS accuracy and advanced training analytics.
- Anyone seeking LTE, cellular data or phone-free calling.
- Buyers who need clinically dependable health measurements.
- Swimmers or divers looking for explicit activity-specific water protection.
- Anyone choosing it mainly for NFC payments, since Indian payment compatibility is not established by the available sources.
Verdict
At a live price around ₹4,000–₹4,500, the Realme Watch 5 offers an unusually broad budget feature set: a large AMOLED display, independent GPS, Bluetooth calling, extensive sports modes and long claimed battery life. Its biggest limitations are the lack of cellular service and a full app platform, uncertain real-world GPS performance, wellness-only health metrics and scenario-dependent battery endurance.
It is a sensible choice for everyday fitness tracking, notifications and occasional outdoor workouts. Serious athletes, app-heavy smartwatch users and buyers wanting phone-free calling should look elsewhere. Verify the current seller price, Realme Link compatibility and the exact GPS features you need before ordering.
