The SENBONO smartwatch advertised heart-rate, blood-pressure and blood-oxygen monitoring when it was reported as launched in October 2022. That is a historical launch, not a new 2026 announcement. The available launch coverage did not demonstrate the accuracy of its health readings, so the watch should not be used to diagnose or manage high blood pressure.
What launched, and when?
Gizmochina reported the launch on October 11, 2022; Notebookcheck covered the watch on October 10. The product was called simply the “SENBONO Smartwatch,” described as a low-cost global smartwatch sold through AliExpress and made by Shenzhen-based electronics company SENBONO. The coverage does not clearly identify a model number, which matters because SENBONO now sells multiple watches with overlapping health-feature claims. Gizmochina’s launch report and Notebookcheck’s report describe the 2022 product.
The launch report gave a promotional price of $19.99 and an expected future retail price of $49.98, with estimated U.S. deliveries in early November 2022. These are historical figures, not current offers.
Specifications reported at launch
The following details were reported for the 2022 watch; they should not be assumed to describe later SENBONO models.

These are reported launch specifications, not independent test results. In particular, an IP68 label alone is not a reason to assume a watch is suitable for swimming or bathing. What health and fitness features were advertised?
The 2022 reports described heart-rate, blood-pressure and blood-oxygen monitoring, plus sleep tracking, a pedometer, exercise tracking and multiple sports modes. The watch was also presented with basic smartwatch functions such as notifications, music control and a camera remote. These are advertised functions; the launch reports do not establish how accurately the health measurements perform.

Can you trust its blood-pressure readings?
The available launch coverage did not provide accuracy evidence for the watch’s blood-pressure, heart-rate or blood-oxygen features. It cited no clinical validation study, accuracy dataset, comparison with a validated cuff, or FDA authorization. SENBONO manual material describes readings as reference data, says the product is not a medical device and cautions against comparing its measurements with hospital equipment. The claim that a watch can display a blood-pressure number is not proof that the number is clinically dependable.
That distinction is especially important for blood pressure: do not use this watch to diagnose hypertension, decide whether a reading is safe, change medication or delay medical care. The FDA’s September 16, 2025 safety communication warns consumers not to rely on unauthorized devices or software features—including smartwatch and smart-ring features—that claim to measure or estimate blood pressure. The agency advises using an FDA-authorized device for medical decisions. Its safety communication explains the risk; readers can also search the FDA 510(k) database for authorized devices. If you need dependable readings, use a validated, properly sized upper-arm cuff or a device recommended by your clinician.
Heart-rate tracking can be useful as a general wellness feature, but the available evidence only establishes that SENBONO advertised it—not its accuracy at rest or during exercise, or under different fit, motion, skin and circulation conditions. Do not treat the launch claim as clinical validation.
How did the manual say to take a blood-pressure reading?
Manual material for SENBONO watches describes a process that takes about 10 seconds. That is the watch’s stated operating procedure, not a validated clinical measurement protocol.

- Keep the arm and watch still for approximately 10 seconds.
- Wait for the result to appear, then synchronize it with the app if needed.
The workflow is described in SENBONO manual material. Stillness may help the device complete its process; it does not establish that the resulting number is accurate.

The original launch reports use a generic product name without a clear model number. Current SENBONO listings include models such as the HK5, KT80, MT115 and a dual-camera 4G watch, with different screens, batteries, connectivity and feature sets. The brand’s smartwatch collection illustrates the variety. Do not transfer a current listing’s specifications, price or availability to the unnamed 2022 launch product.
What do current listings cost?
Prices and stock can change, and these examples refer to different models—not the 2022 launch watch. SENBONO’s collection pages listed the HK5 at $46.90 and the KT80 at $56.90 when checked for this article. The brand’s dual-camera 4G smartwatch listing showed $138.80 and sold out. Confirm the model, currency, price and availability on the product page before purchasing.
Before ordering any current model, verify that the exact watch works with your phone and the required companion app. The 2022 launch coverage does not clearly document the app name, ongoing software support, privacy terms, return rights or warranty for that product. Check those details and the model-specific water-use instructions with the seller; do not infer them from another SENBONO listing.

The 2022 SENBONO watch may interest someone seeking a very inexpensive device for basic notifications and general activity tracking, provided the exact product is still available and expectations are modest. The launch-era price and delivery estimate are no longer useful for judging a current offer, and the generic model name makes careful identification essential.
It is a poor choice if dependable blood-pressure readings are the reason for buying. The launch coverage did not establish accuracy, and the FDA advises against relying on unauthorized wearable blood-pressure features for medical decisions. Choose a validated cuff or a device recommended by a clinician for blood-pressure monitoring.
