The Amazfit Active 2 Round was reported at $79.99 on Amazon for Cyber Monday 2025, down $20—or about 20%—from its $99.99 standard price. That was a genuine reported deal, but it is historical: the price is not confirmed as available now. The offer concerned the standard round watch, not the $129.99 Premium configuration or the separate Active 2 Square.
What the Cyber Monday deal was
Android Headlines reported the Amazon price on December 1, 2025, as the Black Friday promotion carried into Cyber Monday. The article said the standard Amazfit Active 2 had fallen from $99.99 to $79.99 and warned that stock could sell out. The report verifies the price at publication, not how long inventory lasted or whether every shopper saw the same listing. Read the original deal report.
Do not treat $79.99 as a current price. Amazfit’s US product page has displayed a $99.99–$129.99 range for the round model, but that page was crawled roughly two months before August 2026, so it is not a live checkout quote. Check Amazfit’s product page for current availability and pricing.
Which Active 2 was included?
The reported deal aligns with the standard Active 2 Round, whose launch price was $99.99. The higher-priced Premium configuration launched at $129.99; the deal report does not establish that Premium was discounted to $79.99. The round family includes sport-silicone versions and a black-leather Premium version. Amazfit’s launch announcement lists the launch pricing.

The Active 2 Square is a separate square-bodied product introduced in June 2025, not the round watch in the deal report. If shopping a current listing, check the full product name rather than relying on “Active 2” alone. Zepp’s press releases document the Square launch; Amazfit’s Square product page shows that distinct model.
What $79.99 bought
For a sub-$100 fitness watch, the standard round Active 2’s strongest case was its combination of built-in GPS, offline maps, a bright AMOLED screen, and a long advertised battery life. Amazfit lists a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with peak brightness up to 2,000 nits, more than 160 workout modes, health and sleep tracking, 5 ATM water resistance, and up to 10 days of battery life in typical use. - Fitness and wellness tracking: Heart-rate, sleep, and other wellness metrics accompany a wide range of workout modes. These are consumer wellness features, not medical diagnoses.
- Battery: “Up to 10 days” is Amazfit’s typical-use estimate, not a guarantee. Published specifications and reviews put GPS use at roughly 21 hours, so frequent long GPS workouts can shorten time between charges substantially. TechRadar’s review discusses the GPS battery figure.
- Water resistance: 5 ATM is a water-resistance rating; it is not a claim that the watch is indestructible or suitable for every water activity.
Maps and battery: useful, with limits
Offline maps are not ready to use straight from the box: map data must first be downloaded and synced through the Zepp app. The watch can then provide route guidance, but this is not the same as a phone’s full navigation experience or a dedicated hiking GPS with robust topographic tools. Prepare maps and routes before leaving, and carry a backup for unfamiliar or remote terrain. Wareable’s review also notes the map-sync requirement.
Battery life likewise depends on how the watch is used: GPS frequency and duration, display brightness and wake settings, health monitoring, sleep and blood-oxygen tracking, calls, and notifications all affect the result. Treat 10 days as an advertised typical-use ceiling, not the expected runtime for intensive GPS training. Amazfit also says maximum display brightness is unavailable below 30% battery.

Important trade-offs before buying
The Active 2 runs Amazfit’s Zepp OS, not watchOS or Wear OS. Its fitness feature set is broad for the price, but its third-party app ecosystem is more limited than those platforms. It is a better match for someone who mainly wants exercise tracking, GPS, and multi-day battery life than for someone who wants a phone-like watch full of apps, cellular service, or deep integration with an existing Apple or Google setup.
Do not assume the watch offers contactless payments in the US. Zepp Pay support varies by model and region; launch coverage described availability in Europe, and the manual identifies separate NFC and non-NFC model numbers. Check the exact model and confirm regional and bank support before buying if payments matter. Consult the Active 2 Round manual.

Compatibility is listed for Android 7.0 or later and iOS 14.0 or later, using the Zepp app. Some functions differ by phone platform; for example, certain quick-reply features are Android-dependent, so iPhone owners should not assume every notification interaction works the same way. The watch also charges on a proprietary puck rather than a universal Qi charger. Android Authority’s overview covers platform and payment context, while its hands-on report discusses charging and its reviewer’s run test. That test found heart-rate and distance results close to a Garmin Instinct 3 in that particular run; it is not a general accuracy guarantee.

Who the deal made sense for
- Good fit: A runner, walker, casual cyclist, or gym-goer seeking built-in GPS, basic route guidance, and broad fitness tracking below $100—and willing to use Zepp OS rather than a larger app ecosystem.
- Less suitable: iPhone owners prioritizing Apple Watch integration; Android buyers who specifically want Wear OS apps; anyone needing cellular calling, guaranteed US payment support, or advanced training analytics; and hikers who need dependable topographic navigation.
For broader context, the value trade-off is straightforward: Apple Watch is the more natural choice for deep iPhone integration, Wear OS for Android smartwatch apps, and Garmin’s sports watches for buyers already invested in its training tools or seeking more outdoor-focused features. Those are different priorities, not direct price-equivalent alternatives, and current competitor prices are not established here.
How to check an Active 2 listing
If you are comparing a listing with the old deal, verify these details before checkout:
- Confirm it says Active 2 Round, not Active 2 Square.
- Check whether it is the standard configuration or Premium; do not assume the $79.99 report covered Premium.
- Review the selected color, exact price, seller, and whether the item is new, refurbished, or used.
- Check what is included—particularly the strap and charging puck—and read the return terms.
- If NFC payments matter, verify the specific model number and support for your country and bank.
- Confirm the price survives at checkout, including tax, and that the promotion is still available.
Common frustrations have practical causes: maps need to be synced in advance; notifications require phone permissions; Bluetooth reliability can be affected by app background restrictions or outdated software; and heavy GPS or display use can drain the battery faster than the headline estimate. GPS reception can also be less consistent in dense urban areas or under heavy tree cover.
