The XREAL One Pro deal was real, but it was a Black Friday 2025 promotion—not a confirmed live Black Friday 2026 offer. On November 28, 2025, the glasses were listed at $599, down from a displayed $649 price. XREAL’s official US store now also lists the One Pro at $599 and describes that reduction as permanent, so shoppers should not treat every $599 listing as a new $50-off sale. Engadget reported the original promotion, while XREAL’s current product page provides the current pricing and specifications.
Is the $50-off XREAL One Pro deal still live?
The original deal ran during Black Friday 2025. Engadget reported the XREAL One Pro at $599, a $50 reduction from the displayed $649 price, with both IPD size options included in the promotion.
That distinction matters now. XREAL’s official US store currently lists the One Pro at $599 and says the company permanently reduced the price from $649 to $599. In other words, $599 appears to be the regular current price rather than proof of a new Black Friday promotion. Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27, 2026; any additional discount, bundle or accessory credit would need to be confirmed in a dated retailer listing.

What the XREAL One Pro is
The One Pro is primarily a wired wearable display. It connects to a compatible phone, tablet, laptop, handheld or other video source and places a large virtual screen in front of the wearer. It is not a standalone computer, wireless smartphone replacement or camera-first product like Meta Ray-Ban glasses.
Its native spatial display features make it more capable than a simple fixed screen, but it should not be confused with a fully enclosed VR headset. Outside light remains visible, and the glasses require a connected device for video and power. That makes them particularly attractive for private travel viewing, portable gaming, movies and laptop work.

Check compatibility before buying
The most important requirement is not simply having a USB-C socket. The source device must support DisplayPort Alt Mode through a full-function USB-C port.
- Confirm that the phone, laptop, tablet or handheld supports USB-C video output through DisplayPort Alt Mode.
- Connect the included USB-C cable to the glasses and the compatible source.
- If the source lacks USB-C video output, use a certified compatible DisplayPort Alt Mode adapter.
- For consoles, expect to need an appropriate adapter or intermediary accessory, plus a suitable power arrangement.
- Adjust the nose pads and temple arms so the glasses sit level, then select the desired display mode.
With a compatible connection, the display should activate automatically and the status LED should illuminate white, according to the user manual. The XREAL app may be useful for supported configuration, firmware or device features, but it is not necessarily required for every basic wired-display connection.
Common connection problems
- No picture: Check for DisplayPort Alt Mode; a charging-only USB-C port will not provide video.
- A console does not display: Add the correct compatible adapter and verify that the setup has power.
- The image is blurry or clipped: Check the IPD size and reseat the glasses evenly.
- The image feels unstable: Adjust the fit and confirm the selected spatial mode. Native 3DoF is not the same as room-scale 6DoF.
- Power runs short: Use a suitable power source or consider the XREAL Hub for compatible simultaneous charging and display arrangements.
Choose the correct IPD version
The One Pro is sold in two physical size options:
- M: 57–66mm IPD
- L: 66–75mm IPD
Order based on your measured interpupillary distance rather than choosing casually. Fit and alignment are especially important for text-heavy work and can affect perceived sharpness and comfort.

The box includes a prescription frame, but not prescription lenses. Prescription wearers should budget separately for compatible lenses.

The One Pro’s $200 premium is mainly for its wider field of view, different optical design and physical IPD options. Choose it if those improvements matter for your use. The less expensive XREAL One is the stronger value choice if you primarily want a large portable screen and can accept a 50-degree view.
What is included—and what may cost extra?
The official package includes:

Optional accessories observed on XREAL’s US store include the XREAL Eye at $99, the Beam Pro from $199 and the XREAL Hub at $39.99. The Eye is relevant if you specifically want XREAL’s camera-based 6DoF functionality. Beam Pro is a companion device for streaming and app-based AR use. The Hub can help with charging and display arrangements when the source device has limited ports.

Do not assume every buyer needs these accessories. The base glasses can be suitable when your existing laptop, phone or handheld supplies compatible video and power. The extra budget is most likely to arise from adapters, prescription lenses or a particular console setup.

It can be useful as a private portable screen, especially for travel. The 1080p-per-eye display, ultrawide computer mode and native 3DoF anchoring can make laptop work more flexible without carrying a physical monitor.

It is not a universal replacement for a conventional multi-monitor desk. A wider virtual workspace may require head movement, and comfort, IPD alignment and text clarity depend heavily on fit. The glasses also remain wired and do not create a fully isolated virtual-reality environment.

Is it good for gaming and movies?
The strongest candidates include Steam Deck-style handhelds with compatible video output, laptops, compatible phones and tablets, and console setups using the necessary adapter. A large private screen is useful on flights, in hotels or anywhere a physical monitor is inconvenient.
There are limits. USB-C shape alone does not guarantee compatibility, consoles are not plug-and-play in every configuration, and outside light remains visible. The open-ear audio also means nearby people may hear some sound. Any claimed virtual screen size depends on viewing distance and display mode, so it should not be read as the physical size of a panel.
Who should buy at $599?
- Buyers who specifically want the widest field of view in XREAL’s One line.
- Users who value the One Pro’s optical design and physical IPD sizing.
- Travelers, gamers and laptop users with a confirmed DisplayPort Alt Mode source.
- People who understand that this is a wired wearable display, not a standalone wireless computer.
- Prescription users willing to purchase compatible lenses separately.
Who should choose the XREAL One or wait?
Choose the XREAL One if a 50-degree field of view is acceptable and saving $200 matters more than the Pro’s optical and fit advantages.
Wait if you are not in a hurry and $599 is simply the current standard price. A future Black Friday 2026 promotion could provide a genuinely lower price, a bundle or accessory credit, but that cannot be assumed from the 2025 deal or the current $599 listing.
The One Pro is a poor fit for buyers expecting independent wireless operation, full VR immersion, complete light blocking, universal console compatibility or a traditional multi-monitor workspace with no head movement.
