WowMouse turns a compatible smartwatch into a Bluetooth air mouse: move your watch arm to steer a cursor and pinch your fingers to select. Doublepoint added Pixel Watch 2 support in February 2024. But availability is now uncertain: as of August 18, 2026, indexed Google Play data and recent user reports conflict, so check the Play Store on your watch before relying on the app.
What WowMouse does
WowMouse uses the watch’s motion sensors to translate arm movement into cursor movement, then uses gestures—most notably a thumb-and-index-finger pinch on the watch arm—for mouse-style actions. Depending on the app version and enabled features, gestures may also support swiping or dragging. The watch acts as a Bluetooth input device; it does not stream a computer screen or control the computer through your phone.
The target must accept Bluetooth mouse input. Doublepoint’s 2024 launch materials and coverage described use with PCs, Macs, Android phones and tablets, and other compatible devices. That is not a guarantee for every computer, TV, headset, or operating-system version. Do not assume iPhone or iPad support solely because an Apple device may accept Bluetooth pointing devices: the watch app’s compatibility and pairing behavior are separate questions.

Pixel Watch 2 support was announced at MWC in February 2024, and the app was then available through Google Play. The first-generation Pixel Watch was reported as unsupported at that launch; that historical statement does not establish its status in later versions. Likewise, past Pixel Watch 2 support does not guarantee that the app remains available or compatible with every current Wear OS build.

As of August 18, 2026, the available signals are mixed. An indexed Google Play result for Doublepoint shows WowMouse, more than 100,000 downloads, and in-app purchases, but that result was crawled earlier. Recent user reports say the app may have disappeared from Google Play. No official removal confirmation is established by those signals, so treat new installation as uncertain rather than assuming the app is either definitely available or definitely discontinued. Check the Google Play listing for Doublepoint and search directly in the watch’s Play Store.
Be careful to distinguish the general WowMouse app from WowMouse Presenter, a separate product aimed at presentation controls. Its listing is not proof that the general mouse app is available. The indexed US listing showed a $3.99 price for Presenter, but price and availability can change.
What you need
- A Pixel Watch 2 with WowMouse available for installation and compatible with the installed app version.
- A target device that supports Bluetooth mouse input, with Bluetooth enabled.
- Access to the target’s Bluetooth settings to pair the watch as an input device.
- A charged watch. Keeping the app active and using motion sensing and Bluetooth may affect battery use, but there is no reliable battery-impact figure here.
Install WowMouse, if it is listed
- On the Pixel Watch 2, open the Google Play Store.
- Search for WowMouse and verify that the developer is Doublepoint. Do not mistake WowMouse Presenter for the general mouse app.
- If the watch-compatible app is listed, install it and open it. Grant any permissions it requests for its stated functions.
- If it does not appear, check the Play Store on the phone or the watch’s app library and your Google Play account’s previously installed apps. Seeing a phone listing does not necessarily mean a watch-compatible version can be installed.
- If it remains unavailable, treat that as an availability issue. Avoid unofficial APK mirrors unless you can independently verify the package’s provenance, signature, and version; an old or unverified build can be unsafe or incompatible.
The steps above describe the historically documented Google Play route, not a guarantee that the app can be newly installed today.

Pair the watch with a computer or other target
The intended connection is between the watch and the device you want to control. The watch’s normal connection to its Android phone is not the same as a mouse-input pairing with a computer.
- On the target device, open Bluetooth settings and choose its control for adding or pairing a Bluetooth device.
- Open WowMouse on the Pixel Watch 2 and switch to its mouse or input mode if prompted.
- Look for the watch in the target device’s Bluetooth list and select it. Accept any pairing confirmation shown on either device.
- Move the watch arm and check whether the pointer moves. Make a clear pinch with the thumb and index finger on that arm to test selection.
Exact labels vary by operating system and app version. If the target offers multiple Bluetooth device categories, the watch needs to connect as an input device, not merely as a companion or audio accessory. If pairing is ambiguous, temporarily turn off or disconnect other Bluetooth mice and try one target at a time.
Basic controls and limits
- Move the watch arm: steer the cursor.
- Pinch thumb and index finger: perform a click or selection.
- Swipe or drag: may be available through gestures, depending on the version and enabled features. Dragging may require a supported hold gesture; do not assume it works identically across builds.
Do not count on right-click, middle-click, keyboard input, or custom button mappings without confirming them in the version you have. Keep the watch arm reasonably free and use deliberate, controlled movements; sweeping or unintended movements can move the cursor when you do not want them to.

Is it practical as a mouse?
WowMouse is most compelling as an occasional remote: moving a pointer during a presentation, controlling a media device from nearby, experimenting with wearable or mixed-reality input, or exploring an accessibility option when a conventional mouse is inconvenient. Doublepoint also positioned its wearable interaction technology for presentations, XR, and other use cases.

It is not a dependable substitute for a conventional mouse for detailed editing, spreadsheets, drawing, gaming, or long desktop sessions. Wrist-controlled cursor movement is inherently less steady than moving a mouse on a surface, and holding an arm in position can become tiring. Bluetooth behavior, lag, gesture recognition, and reconnection may vary by watch, app version, target, and surroundings; user reports of problems are anecdotal, not evidence that every setup behaves the same way.
Use WowMouse for broad pointer movement or a quick demonstration, then switch to a physical mouse for precision, sustained work, or dependable drag-and-drop. If you need reliable slide advancement rather than general cursor control, a conventional presentation remote or presentation-specific software may be a better fit.

Troubleshooting
The watch does not appear in the target’s Bluetooth list
- Open WowMouse and make sure its mouse/input mode is active.
- Toggle Bluetooth off and back on at the target, then search again.
- Remove an old pairing for the watch or WowMouse from the target and retry.
- Check whether another previously paired computer or phone has reconnected; disconnect it and pair with one target at a time.
- Restart the watch and target if the device still does not appear.
The watch pairs, but the pointer does not move
- Confirm that the target accepted the watch as a Bluetooth input device rather than pairing it only as another type of accessory.
- Open WowMouse on the watch and confirm mouse mode is active. Move the watch arm deliberately and test again.
- Forget the pairing on the target, then pair again with other Bluetooth mice disconnected.
- Check that the installed app build supports Pixel Watch 2; past launch support does not guarantee every current build or installation source will work.
Pinches or other gestures fail
- Wear the watch securely and use a distinct thumb-and-index-finger pinch on the same arm as the watch.
- Reopen the app after reconnecting Bluetooth and confirm the gesture is supported in your version.
- Features may differ by app version or paid tier. Do not assume that every gesture shown in older descriptions is enabled for every user.
The cursor jitters, feels too sensitive, or dragging fails
- Try smaller, smoother arm movements rather than quick wrist flicks. Resting your forearm may help with broad control.
- For dragging, verify that your version supports a hold-and-move gesture and follow its on-screen guidance. If it remains unreliable, use a physical mouse.
- Lag or jitter reports are setup-dependent. If the connection is unstable, disconnect other Bluetooth devices where practical and re-pair.
You cannot find the app
Search from the watch’s Play Store, check the account’s previously installed apps, and consult Doublepoint’s official channels. An old listing or a third-party download page is not confirmation of a safe, current watch-compatible release.
WowMouse or WowMouse Presenter?
The general WowMouse app is intended to provide cursor control through mouse-like input. WowMouse Presenter is a separate Doublepoint product for presentation tasks, such as slide navigation and pointer-style control. It is not simply another name for the general mouse app, and its availability does not resolve whether WowMouse can be installed. Check each product’s own current Play listing and supported-watch details before choosing.

If the goal is ordinary computer work, a conventional Bluetooth mouse is the more practical choice for precision, sustained use, and fuller mouse controls. If you need hands-free input reliably, look at the target device’s built-in accessibility options rather than depending on an experimental gesture interface.
