Verizon’s Cyber Monday offer was real, but it was a limited promotion—not a no-strings giveaway. The version reported on December 3, 2025, bundled an iPhone 17 Pro Max, an A16 iPad and an Apple Watch Series 11 for qualifying new Verizon customers. “Free” meant monthly bill credits over 36 months, tied to eligible service. The reported Cyber Monday deadline has passed, so this is a historical explanation, not an active offer.
Which Apple devices were included?
ZDNET reported that the Cyber Monday promotion covered three specific models: the iPhone 17 Pro Max, A16 iPad and Apple Watch Series 11. It was not an offer to choose any iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. The report described it as a deal for new Verizon customers on select Unlimited plans. ZDNET’s December 3, 2025 report described that version as not requiring a trade-in.
Verizon’s separate official Apple Ultimate Bundle terms covered the same broader holiday device family, but described different conditions: an eligible iPhone purchase, plus up to $500 in credits each for an iPad and Apple Watch. The tablet and watch each required a new service line. Those terms should not be treated as proof that every configuration qualified for the Cyber Monday version.
How did the devices become “free”?
Under Verizon’s official bundle terms, devices were financed at 0% APR over 36 months, with promotional credits applied to offset their monthly payments. The credits were conditional: Verizon said they could end if eligibility requirements were no longer met. In practice, a $0 net device payment depended on keeping the relevant qualifying service and satisfying the offer terms for the full credit period.

For example, a device receiving the maximum $500 credit over 36 months would be offset by about $13.89 per month ($500 divided by 36), provided the customer remained eligible throughout. That is a calculation from Verizon’s stated credit cap and term, not a separately published monthly credit amount. Verizon’s terms also say some offers cannot be combined with other promotions.
What service charges could remain?
Verizon’s official Apple Ultimate Bundle disclaimer listed minimum service prices of $90 per month with Auto Pay for Unlimited Ultimate smartphone service, and $20 per month with Auto Pay for each iPad and Apple Watch service line, plus taxes and fees. If all three lines were required under the applicable offer terms, those published component minimums add up to about $130 per month before taxes and fees. That is an illustrative calculation, not a guaranteed bill: account-specific discounts, Auto Pay eligibility, taxes, fees and other selections can change the total.

The tablet and watch lines matter to the value calculation. A customer who only wanted a phone, or who would use the iPad mostly on Wi-Fi and the watch through an iPhone, could pay for cellular service they did not need simply to receive device credits.

The reported Cyber Monday version and Verizon’s official Apple Ultimate Bundle disclaimer do not give the same answer. ZDNET said the Cyber Monday deal required no trade-in. Verizon’s official bundle terms, by contrast, listed a qualifying trade-in for the iPhone portion. They may describe different versions or stages of the holiday campaign, so the terms should not be combined into one universal rule.

Verizon’s bundle terms also said an upgrade required a new or upgraded smartphone line on Unlimited Ultimate, a 36-month device-payment agreement, Auto Pay pricing conditions and—when upgrading—an eligible phone active on the account for at least 60 days. For the official bundle version, trade-in eligibility and appraisal conditions applied. The exact promotion shown at checkout would have controlled which requirements applied.
What if a customer canceled or changed plans?
Verizon said credits could stop when eligibility requirements were no longer met. Canceling the qualifying phone, iPad or watch line, or moving to a plan that did not qualify, could therefore end future credits. Leaving Verizon before the 36-month term was complete could also leave an unpaid device balance. The cited terms do not establish that every case results in an immediate bill for the entire remaining balance; customers would need to check the specific device-payment agreement.

Verizon’s terms for the official bundle also warned that trade-in credits could be affected if the submitted device was not received or did not match the appraisal. The available offer information does not establish the exact credit-posting delay for the Cyber Monday version, so a customer should not assume the first bill would immediately show a net $0 device payment.

What costs should a buyer have checked?
A device credit does not necessarily eliminate other charges due at purchase or during service. The Cyber Monday checkout fees are not established by the available sources, so the exact amount cannot be stated. Before ordering, a customer should review:

- Taxes and whether they are calculated on the full retail price or financed amount.
- Any activation or upgrade fees and shipping charges.
- First-month service charges and the effect of Auto Pay requirements.
- Optional insurance, accessories and other add-ons.
- The total cost of the qualifying plan and additional connected-device lines over 36 months.
Verizon’s current product listings show Apple devices and standard device-payment pricing, but they do not establish that this past Cyber Monday bundle is still available. For example, its shop listed Apple Watch Series 11 from $499.99 or $13.88 per month for 36 months when the page was captured in the search results; those figures are not the terms of a current version of the expired promotion. Who was the deal likely to suit?
It could make sense if
- You already planned to switch to Verizon and its coverage worked well where you live, work and travel.
- You wanted all three devices and would use cellular service on both the iPad and Apple Watch.
- You expected to keep the qualifying lines and plan for the full 36 months.
- The required plan cost was reasonable compared with the service you would otherwise choose.
It was a poor fit if
- You wanted only an iPhone, or did not need cellular service for a tablet or watch.
- You might switch carriers or downgrade plans before the credit term ended.
- The required plan was substantially more expensive than your alternative, or you would lose an existing account discount.
- You could not comfortably cover upfront charges and the first bill, or expected to own all three devices free and clear immediately.
For a buyer who did not need connected-device lines or wanted to change carriers freely, buying unlocked devices or a Wi-Fi-only iPad could avoid tying those choices to a multi-year carrier promotion. Apple’s purchase pages are at iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
Is the Cyber Monday deal still available?
No. The reported promotion was tied to Cyber Monday on December 3, 2025, and that deadline has passed. Verizon’s current device pages do not show that the historical bundle remains available; any present-day offer would need to be evaluated on its own terms.
