Xiaomi introduced the MIJIA Smart Audio Glasses 2 in China in March 2025. They are open-ear Bluetooth audio glasses—not camera glasses or an augmented-reality headset—with slimmer temples, a lighter frame, four microphones, longer claimed battery life and a sound-leakage-reduction mode. Xiaomi’s China crowdfunding price was 999 yuan, with a regular price of 1,199 yuan; those are historical China prices, not a current U.S. price. Outside China, naming and availability vary: Xiaomi’s global page calls the product Mijia Smart Audio Glasses, and the sources reviewed do not establish official U.S. retail availability.
What are the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses 2?
They are eyewear with small open-ear speakers built into the temples, plus microphones, Bluetooth, touch controls and companion-app features. You can listen to music, podcasts and notifications or take calls while remaining aware of nearby sound. Xiaomi’s specifications do not describe a camera or visual display, so these are not an AR headset and are not a camera-equipped alternative to Ray-Ban Meta.
The name depends on the market. China launch coverage calls them MIJIA Smart Audio Glasses 2; Xiaomi’s global product page uses Mijia Smart Audio Glasses without the “2.” Compare the model number and specifications—not just a marketplace listing title—if you are trying to distinguish generations. Xiaomi’s global product page also says availability varies by region.
What changed from the original?
Xiaomi’s comparison and product specifications list a slimmer, lighter design, updated connectivity and more microphones. The table reflects Xiaomi’s stated figures; they are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.

Chinese launch coverage reported around 12 hours of playback, while Xiaomi’s current global specification page says up to 13. Treat these as market- or test-specific manufacturer claims rather than a guaranteed runtime. Xiaomi’s listed 13-hour test condition is a full charge, 50% volume and AAC encoding.
Design, fit and lenses
The comfort pitch has measurable design details behind it: Xiaomi lists a 5 mm narrowest temple section and a starting weight of 27.6 g without lenses for the Titanium model. It also describes a piano-wire hinge tested for 15,000 flexes and a second-generation quick-release system tested for 2,000 plug-and-pull cycles. The Titanium version does not support quick release, according to Xiaomi’s footnotes.
The global line lists Titanium, Browline and Pilot-Style frames. Lens options vary by frame: Xiaomi lists HD TAC polarized lenses for the Pilot-Style version, blue-light-filtering options, and a claim of more than 99.9% UV blocking for the specified polarized configuration. Do not assume every frame ships with the same lenses or that every local optician can fit a prescription. Confirm compatibility for the exact frame and market before buying. Prescription lenses can also change the glasses’ weight and balance.

Audio, calls and privacy
The open-ear design leaves the ear canal unobstructed, which can suit walking, commuting and office listening when awareness of surroundings matters. The trade-off is less isolation than sealed earbuds and generally less consistent bass impact, especially in noisy places. Turning the volume up to hear over traffic or a crowd can also make sound more audible to people nearby.
Xiaomi says it revised the acoustic structure and algorithms for stronger volume and a more immersive soundstage. The available specifications do not provide independent standardized measurements of frequency response, maximum volume or sound leakage, so treat “enhanced audio” as Xiaomi’s positioning—not proof that the glasses outperform earbuds.
The four-microphone system is intended to improve voice capture. Xiaomi claims intelligent call-noise reduction and wind resistance up to 4.5 m/s, as well as support for call and online-meeting recording. Those are manufacturer claims under its test conditions; they do not guarantee clear calls in traffic, crowds or strong gusts.
For privacy, Xiaomi describes a reverse sound field, a leak-reducing membrane and a dedicated privacy mode controlled through the Xiaomi Glasses app. The wording matters: the mode is designed to reduce leakage, not eliminate it. Test at your usual listening volume before using the glasses in a quiet office, library or other shared space.

The glasses also support recording, and Xiaomi says an indicator light turns on during recording. An indicator is not a substitute for consent: recording laws differ by location and circumstance, including in-person conversations, calls and meetings. Check local rules and respect other people’s privacy.
Battery, charging and connectivity
Xiaomi’s current global page claims up to 13 hours of continuous listening, 9 hours of calls, 12 days of standby and about 1.5 days of typical use. A 10-minute charge is claimed to provide up to 4 hours of listening; a full charge takes about an hour. The listening figure is based on 50% volume and AAC encoding. Calls, recording, higher volume, dual-device use, notifications and environmental conditions can reduce actual runtime.
Connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.4, connection to two devices at once and Google Fast Pair. The Xiaomi Glasses app provides gesture customization, voice-assistant activation, read-aloud notifications, find-glasses functionality, recording management and device settings. That makes the app important for advanced features rather than a dispensable extra. Check app-store availability, phone and language support, account-region requirements and firmware support where you live; the available sources do not establish a complete U.S. compatibility matrix.

- March 2025, China: Xiaomi announced a 999-yuan crowdfunding price, with 1,199 yuan listed as the regular price. Crowdfunding began March 26. China launch coverage reported the introductory offer.
- April 2025, China: reports described wider retail sales from 1,199 yuan, with separate subsidy pricing. The price depended on configuration and applicable conditions. Retail-launch coverage also reported a roughly 12-hour playback claim.
- January 15, 2026, Japan: Xiaomi Japan announced local sales under the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses name. The Japan announcement confirms Japanese availability, not U.S. distribution.
Xiaomi’s global page lists the product but says availability varies by region. The sources reviewed do not establish an official U.S. Xiaomi store listing or U.S. MSRP. Do not convert the 2025 yuan crowdfunding offer into a current American price, and do not treat a third-party import listing as proof of local support.

Before importing, verify the exact model number, whether the app is available in your country, registration and language support, warranty coverage, replacement-part access and authorized-seller status. A product that can be shipped across a border may still lack local app, firmware, lens or service support.
Who are they for—and how do they compare?
Consider them if you dislike in-ear pressure, want ambient-aware listening for podcasts or short calls, and would wear glasses anyway. They may also appeal to buyers who want an audio-first wearable without a camera. Look elsewhere if you need strong noise isolation, bass-heavy listening, a camera, video capture, visual notifications or verified local support before purchase.
- Compared with earbuds: the glasses avoid in-ear pressure and keep the ears open, but earbuds usually isolate better and are more practical if you do not want to wear glasses. Ordinary Bluetooth earbuds paired with prescription or fashion glasses may be preferable for stronger bass, noise reduction or easier switching between eyewear.
- Compared with Ray-Ban Meta: Ray-Ban Meta is a broader camera-equipped smart-glasses platform with voice features and Meta AI. Xiaomi’s model is the simpler camera-free, audio-first option. Ray-Ban Meta is the more relevant choice for hands-free photos, video and social sharing; Xiaomi is more relevant if you specifically want open-ear audio without cameras. For outdoor use, note the IP54 rating: Xiaomi describes dust and splash resistance, not waterproofing. The glasses are not intended for swimming, showering or immersion. Check Xiaomi’s regional warnings and warranty terms before exposing them to water.
