Xiaomi announced five products for global markets at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on March 2–3, 2025: Buds 5 Pro, Buds 5 Pro (Wi‑Fi), Watch S4, Electric Scooter 5 Max, and a Cream White version of the Smart Band 9 Pro. The most notable new technology is the Wi‑Fi earbuds’ higher-bandwidth audio mode; the band announcement, by contrast, focused on a new color rather than a new generation. “Global” describes the launch’s market scope, not confirmed availability in every country or a U.S. retail launch. Launch coverage reported European starting prices from €79.90 for the band to €599.99 for the scooter.
What Xiaomi announced, and what was actually new
The lineup spans audio, two kinds of wrist wearables and personal transport. Four entries are product models or editions; the Smart Band 9 Pro item was specifically a Cream White color variant. Xiaomi’s current global wearables catalog lists the Buds 5 Pro and Smart Band 9 Pro, but a catalog listing does not establish stock, launch timing or warranty terms in a particular country.

These are March 2025 European launch-price reports, not current prices or U.S. price equivalents. Tax, retail pricing, import costs and regional configurations differ. GizmoChina and FoneArena report the launch figures; the Wi‑Fi earbuds’ reported price varies between sources or markets.

Both are premium earbuds, but the Wi‑Fi model’s headline advantage is conditional: it adds Qualcomm XPAN-based Wi‑Fi audio transmission, and its highest advertised mode depends on a compatible Xiaomi phone. It is not a universal Bluetooth upgrade that any phone can use.

These are Xiaomi’s launch-era compatibility statements; the company says support may expand through software updates. Check the current compatibility information for your phone rather than assuming an iPhone, Samsung handset or other Android device can use the advertised maximum. The Wi‑Fi mode also trades away simultaneous HyperConnect use, so the extra bandwidth may not be worth the higher launch price if ecosystem features matter more. A higher bitrate alone does not guarantee an audible improvement: results depend on source quality, fit, tuning, hearing and listening conditions. Xiaomi does not provide independent battery measurements for the Wi‑Fi mode.
Shared earbud hardware and claimed performance
Xiaomi lists a dual-amplifier coaxial triple-driver design: an 11mm dual-magnetic driver, a planar driver and a ceramic tweeter. The company advertises a 15–50kHz frequency response and says the low-frequency performance improves 200% over the Buds 4 Pro; that comparison is a manufacturer claim, not an independent measurement. Both versions are advertised with up to 55dB active noise cancellation, dual-device connectivity and gesture controls. Xiaomi also describes recording, transcription and translation features, whose availability can depend on phone compatibility, software, app and region.
The standard Buds 5 Pro’s case-inclusive battery claim is up to 40 hours, and Xiaomi says a 10-minute charge can provide up to four hours of playback. Both figures come from Xiaomi internal-lab testing, not a guarantee of everyday runtime. The case supports Qi-compatible wireless charging, but a wireless charging base is not included. Watch S4: large AMOLED display, GNSS and up to 15 days claimed
The Watch S4 has a 1.43-inch AMOLED display at 466 × 466 pixels, approximately 326 pixels per inch, with brightness advertised up to 1,500 nits. Xiaomi’s launch coverage reports up to 15 days of battery life, but does not establish the usage mode behind that maximum. Display settings, GPS use, notifications and health monitoring can substantially affect smartwatch runtime.
- Health tracking includes heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep and stress.
- L1+L5 GNSS supports outdoor positioning.
- Gesture controls can be used for actions such as rejecting calls or managing notifications.
- Interchangeable bezel styling is a design feature, not a health-tracking capability.
The launch information does not establish that every region receives identical NFC, payment or cellular features, or that the global model matches every China-market edition. Buyers who need a particular payment method, cellular connection or app should verify the local model’s specification before purchase. The Watch S4 is most relevant to Xiaomi users who value a bright screen, built-in positioning and long claimed battery life; the available launch facts do not establish a broad third-party app ecosystem. Electric Scooter 5 Max: suspension and range, with a charging catch
The Scooter 5 Max pairs front dual hydraulic-spring and rear dual-spring suspension with 10-inch tubeless tires listed at 60mm wide. Xiaomi specifies a 400W rated motor and 1,000W maximum power, a 477Wh battery, a maximum incline of 22%, and up to 60km of range. The maximum-power figure is not the continuous rated output.

The 60km is a controlled-test maximum, not a normal-use promise. Xiaomi’s test used a load of approximately 75 ± 5kg, a flat road, a constant 15km/h, ambient temperature around 25 ± 5°C and low wind. Rider weight, hills, temperature, speed, tire pressure, stops and payload all affect real-world distance.

Xiaomi lists approximately nine hours with the standard charger. The roughly three-hour charge claim requires the Xiaomi Electric Scooter Fast Charger, which is sold separately. The product page does not establish its current price, so buyers should check their regional store and include that accessory in the cost if faster charging is important. Speed, weight and weather limits are market-specific
Regional Xiaomi specification pages do not show one universal top speed: one European page lists 20km/h, while other regional pages list 25km/h. Local regulation or market configuration may account for the difference, but the available specifications do not establish the reason in every case. Check the exact market model and local e-scooter rules for speed, minimum age, helmet, road-use and insurance requirements.

- Regional specifications list the scooter at about 22.3kg, which is a substantial load for frequent stair carrying.
- The 120kg maximum dynamic load is a limit, not a guarantee of maximum range or hill performance for every rider.
- IPX5 is not submersion protection; it does not make the scooter suitable for deep water or flooding.
- Other listed features include a front drum brake, rear E‑ABS, traction control, Bluetooth connection through Xiaomi Home, energy recovery and slope parking.
Weight is reported in Xiaomi’s regional specifications; the regional speed discrepancy is visible across Xiaomi’s Kenya specifications and other product pages. Follow the local manual and laws rather than treating a global specification as permission to ride on a particular road.

The global announcement highlighted Cream White as a new finish for the Smart Band 9 Pro. Its reported hardware includes a narrow-bezel AMOLED display with 336 × 480 resolution and up to 1,200 nits brightness, a 350mAh battery, built-in GNSS, more than 150 sports modes, 3D exercise animations and a compass function. Xiaomi advertises up to 21 days of battery life; frequent GPS workouts, health tracking, notifications and display use can shorten runtime.
The Band 9 Pro is a fitness band, not a full smartwatch platform. The launch material does not establish app support equivalent to Wear OS or Apple Watch, nor should its listed health features be read as medical diagnoses. The Cream White edition adds a style option, with multiple strap materials and styles reported, rather than an obvious hardware-generation change. Specifications are summarized in launch coverage.

What “global” means for availability and prices
Xiaomi introduced the products for global markets at MWC and launch coverage said they would be sold through official Xiaomi channels and authorized retailers. That does not confirm simultaneous sale in every country. The available launch information does not establish U.S. retail availability, U.S. pricing, U.S. warranty coverage or scooter legality there. Colors, accessories, NFC and payment features, firmware and scooter speed limits can also vary by market.
For current regional listings, use Xiaomi’s global wearables page or the relevant Scooter 5 Max page, then confirm stock and terms with the local Xiaomi store or authorized seller. A global catalog page is not proof of local availability.
