Its peripheral hour-and-minute display leaves the character unobstructed, while a tourbillon sits in its chest. The reference is 26656TI.GG.D019VE.01.
What is the Audemars Piguet KAWS Companion watch?
It is a Royal Oak Concept collaboration between Audemars Piguet and artist KAWS, formally named the Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon “Companion.” The official product page describes an all-titanium watch with a miniature COMPANION at its heart and a peripheral time display: Audemars Piguet’s product page.
Rather than placing conventional hands over a central dial, AP arranges the hour and minute indications around the movement and figure. The result gives the watch its defining visual feature: COMPANION occupies the center without being hidden by the time display.
How does the display and tourbillon work?
The grey titanium COMPANION is mounted on a sunburst titanium dial plate. Hour and minute indications sit around the perimeter, with luminous material on the hands and markers that glows blue in darkness. The tourbillon is integrated into the figure’s chest, presented as its “heart.”

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The watch is powered by hand-wound Calibre 2979. AP gives an approximately 72-hour power reserve; technical details reproduced by Europa Star list 39 jewels and 332 parts. The tourbillon cage rotates once per minute, according to AP technical material reproduced by Europa Star. A tourbillon is intended to counter the effects of gravity on a movement, but its presence alone does not establish that this watch will keep more accurate time in everyday use.

AP Japan lists the price as “price upon inquiry,” rather than publishing a retail figure. Fratello reported a launch price of CHF 200,000 excluding taxes in its November 20, 2024 launch coverage.
