Casio’s published specifications and design notes establish what the watch offers; they do not provide a substitute for a wearer’s hands-on assessment of fit, app performance, or durability in use.
What is the MR-G MRGB2000RG3A?
Casio identifies the model as MRG-B2000RG-3A, while its US product page also uses the compact spelling MRGB2000RG3A. It is a large analog G-Shock in the MR-G line, with a titanium case and bezel and a Dura-Soft fluoro rubber band. What makes the MR-G RG different?
Green, recrystallized titanium exterior
The defining construction detail is the bezel: Casio specifies recrystallized titanium, with a crystalline surface pattern, alongside a green DLC-coated titanium case and bezel. The brand says the green-blue color takes inspiration from kurogane-iro, a shade associated with iron heated during the making of traditional Japanese armor and helmets. Casio also describes the bezel pattern as evoking nie crystals in Japanese sword temper lines. These are the manufacturer’s explanations of its design references, rather than independent historical assessments.

Patterned band and dial
Casio describes a bishamon kikko tortoiseshell geometry on the fluoro rubber band and dial details recalling folding fans or screens. Together with the recrystallized bezel, these motifs distinguish the RG’s appearance from a plain, uniformly finished titanium watch. The design claims do not establish how the surface or band will age with wear.
Timekeeping, connectivity, and power
Casio lists Tough Solar power and two time-calibration routes: Multi Band 6 radio reception and Bluetooth linking to the CASIO WATCHES app. Listed app functions include automatic time adjustment, easy watch setting, a watch-status display, self-check, and phone finder. App-linked world time offers approximately 300 cities; the watch’s dual-time function covers 27 time zones, with home-city swapping and automatic summer-time switching.

These are listed capabilities, not independent findings about reception in a particular location, charging under everyday conditions, timekeeping accuracy, or app stability. Actual radio reception depends on circumstances, and the available evidence here does not establish performance in any particular region.
Size and what to consider before buying
At 54.7 mm across its stated case dimensions and 16.9 mm thick, this is a substantial watch on paper. Its listed 138 g weight and fluoro rubber band may be useful reference points, but specifications alone cannot tell you how it will fit your wrist or feel over a full day. If possible, try it on and check the case height and band fit before committing.

Casio specifies titanium construction and coatings, but there is no independent wear test here establishing scratch resistance, coating longevity, or impact performance in daily use. Treat “shock resistant” as the manufacturer’s specification, not a promise that the watch cannot be damaged.
