Citizen has announced several watches scheduled for October 2026, but the official announcements do not support a list of seven affordable, solar-powered releases. The confirmed group includes two premium Eco-Drive The CITIZEN limited editions, a mechanical Series 8 GMT, and Japan-announced xC anniversary models. Final U.S. availability and U.S. pricing have not been confirmed in the announcements cited here.
Which Citizen watches are coming out in October 2026?
Citizen’s official announcements identify these October releases. The CITIZEN and Series 8 prices below are projected USD figures from Citizen Watch Global Network; xC prices are Japanese suggested retail prices from Citizen Watch Japan, not U.S. prices.

Citizen Japan’s announcement schedules the xC pair for October 8 and gives Japanese suggested prices; it does not establish U.S. retail prices or U.S. availability. Citizen’s Japan news index also lists the September announcements for the October The CITIZEN, Series 8 and xC releases. (Citizen Japan 2026 news index; The CITIZEN announcement; Series 8 announcement; xC announcement)
Are the October Citizen releases solar-powered?
Not all of them. The two The CITIZEN models and the xC ES9504-68E use Eco-Drive, which Citizen describes as powered by light. The Series 8 NB6092-01E is a mechanical watch: it runs on a wound mainspring and is not an Eco-Drive model.
#1 Best Overall

- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
For the two October The CITIZEN models, the model-specific announcement states up to 18 months of operation on a full charge in power-save mode. That figure should not be applied to other Eco-Drive watches. Citizen’s general U.S. Eco-Drive page says a fully powered watch can run for up to six months in complete darkness, but that is brand-level guidance rather than a specification for every model. (Citizen U.S. Eco-Drive collection; The CITIZEN model specifications)
How affordable are these watches?
The named releases do not form a set of seven budget watches. The lowest announced USD figure among the global releases here is $2,200 projected for the limited mechanical Series 8, while the two Eco-Drive The CITIZEN editions are projected at $3,000 and $3,100. The xC pair’s Japanese suggested prices are ¥95,700 and ¥154,000; those are Japan-market prices and should not be converted into a claimed U.S. retail price.

What makes the announced models distinct?
The CITIZEN: paper dials and light-powered precision
AQ4100-65X and AQ4106-00B pair Tosa-washi paper dials with Citizen’s Eco-Drive Cal. A060. The announcement specifies annual accuracy of ±5 seconds, a perpetual calendar, an independently adjustable hour hand and 10 bar water resistance. The case material is Super Titanium on both; the AQ4100-65X has a matching Super Titanium band, while the AQ4106-00B uses a crocodile strap. Series 8: a mechanical GMT instead of Eco-Drive
The NB6092-01E serves a different buyer: it is a mechanical GMT with automatic and manual winding, not a solar-powered quartz watch. Citizen lists approximately 50 hours of running time when fully wound and 10 bar water resistance. Its announced worldwide run is 1,300 pieces. (Citizen Watch Global Network)
xC “Midnight Voyage”: radio control in the anniversary lineup
The October 8 xC anniversary announcement includes the ES9504-68E, identified as a hikari collection Square 2way Model and an Eco-Drive radio-controlled watch. The announced limit is 1,400 worldwide. The Japanese announcement gives planned date, quantity and price information for Japan; it does not establish a U.S. launch. (Citizen Watch Japan)

The official releases cited above do not confirm U.S. availability or final U.S. retail pricing for these named models. Citizen’s U.S. Eco-Drive collection shows other catalog watches, but it does not establish that these October 2026 announcements will be sold in the United States. Check Citizen’s U.S. channels or an authorized retailer for a confirmed listing before treating a model as available or relying on a U.S. price.
