Oyster Perpetual: anniversary cues and unusually vivid dials
Oyster Perpetual 41: centenary Rolesor
The 41 mm edition brings together an Oystersteel case and bracelet with a yellow-gold bezel and crown. Its slate dial carries the “100 years” inscription, green Rolex and minute-track details, while the crown is engraved “100.” T3 reports 100-metre water resistance, calibre 3230 and an approximately 70-hour power reserve. It is time-only, so the anniversary treatment—not an added complication—is the distinction.

Oyster Perpetual 36: Jubilee motif
The 36 mm model uses a colourful dial built from the letters in “Rolex.” Wallpaper reports that each of its ten colours is applied individually by pad printing. T3 reports a domed bezel, 100-metre water resistance and calibre 3230, with an approximately 70-hour reserve. This is the most graphic of the Oyster Perpetual releases, while retaining the collection’s time-only format.
Oyster Perpetual 28 and 34: gold, stone and lacquer
The smaller models take a more material-led approach: the 28 mm version is in solid 18-carat yellow gold with a green stone-lacquer dial, and the 34 mm version is in Everose gold with a blue stone-lacquer dial. Both use natural stone for the three, six and nine markers. T3 reports satin-finished gold, calibre 2232 and an approximately 55-hour reserve for these models.

Datejust 41 and Day-Date 40 bring new dial and metal treatments
Datejust 41: green ombré in White Rolesor
The Datejust 41 combines Oystersteel and white gold in White Rolesor, with a fluted bezel and green lacquered ombré dial. The green grows darker toward the dial’s outer edge, making the gradient the defining visual change. The Datejust adds a date display to the time-only Oyster Perpetual format; the cited launch reports do not state this release’s movement or reserve.
Day-Date 40: Jubilee Gold and aventurine
The Day-Date 40 introduces Jubilee Gold, an 18-carat alloy Rolex describes as blending yellow, grey and pink tones. The reported configuration pairs it with a President bracelet and green aventurine dial, set with ten baguette-cut diamond hour markers. The combination puts the emphasis on the alloy and stone dial rather than a new complication; the cited reports do not specify movement details for this version.

Cosmograph Daytona: enamel dial and exhibition back
The Daytona is reported in Rolesium, pairing Oystersteel with platinum. Its white enamel dial sits inside an anthracite Cerachrom bezel; T3 reports platinum-coated scale details, while Wallpaper describes tungsten-carbide enrichment and a platinum edging band. A sapphire exhibition case back makes the movement visible—a notable design change for a model family more commonly associated with a closed back.
T3 reports calibre 4131, 100-metre water resistance and up to 72 hours of power reserve. The movement powers the Daytona’s chronograph, distinguishing it from the time-only Oyster Perpetuals and date-equipped Datejust.

Yacht-Master II: a redesigned regatta countdown
The Yacht-Master II is the clearest functional redesign in the reported range. Its new calibre 4162 is described as an evolution of the former calibre 4161, and the countdown scale now appears on a flange. Two side pushers set and operate the countdown. The countdown hands rotate counterclockwise, intended to make the final 30 seconds easier to read against the graduated Cerachrom bezel.
The model is reported in Oystersteel or yellow gold. Unlike the other releases, its defining purpose is not simply telling the time or timing a conventional chronograph interval: the countdown is designed for regatta starts, where reading the remaining time against a bezel scale matters.

How the releases differ by purpose
- For a straightforward anniversary watch: the Oyster Perpetual 41 has the clearest centenary markers, including the engraved crown and “100 years” dial text.
- For a more expressive dial: the Oyster Perpetual 36 uses ten pad-printed colours, while the 28 and 34 pair gold cases with stone-lacquer dials.
- For a date display: the Datejust 41 adds the calendar function and a green ombré dial in White Rolesor.
- For precious materials and a dress-watch profile: the Day-Date 40 combines Jubilee Gold, a President bracelet and green aventurine.
- For chronograph timing: the Cosmograph Daytona pairs its chronograph with a white enamel dial and visible movement through a sapphire back.

What the announcement does—and does not—tell buyers
The launch reports establish the announced designs and the specifications they describe, not current dealer inventory, transaction prices or availability in a particular market.
