Its specifications make it an unusually slim, mechanically distinctive option on paper; the main caveat from independent hands-on coverage is a reviewer’s concern about the hour-hand finish. Yema’s U.S. listing showed the watch at $2,290 and sold out when accessed, so that price and availability are specific to that listing and may change.
What exactly is the Skin Diver Slim CMM.20 Limited Edition?
Yema describes the watch as a modern interpretation of its 1960s skin divers. The official model is reference 12.24.99.SN.M3. Its dark grey lacquered dial, polished applied markers, luminous hands and markers, sapphire-insert bezel, and slim steel bracelet give it the familiar diver layout, while the micro-rotor calibre is its defining mechanical distinction. Yema’s official listing provides the model’s specifications.
Case, dial and bracelet specifications
| Component | Yema specification |
|---|---|
| Case diameter | 39 mm |
| Case thickness | 10 mm |
| Lug width | 20 mm |
| Case material and finish | 316L stainless steel, vertically brushed with polished bevels |
| Crystal | 2.20 mm double-domed sapphire |
| Dial and lume | Dark grey lacquer; applied polished-steel markers and hands with Super-LumiNova C3 Grade A |
| Bracelet | Brushed 316L stainless steel Scales Slim bracelet |
| Bezel | Unidirectional, with a sapphire insert |
| Crown and water resistance | Screw-down crown; 30 bar / 300 m / 990 ft, as specified by Yema |
The 39 mm diameter and stated 10 mm thickness are the key proportions to consider if you want a compact diver rather than a larger, thicker tool watch. Those are manufacturer measurements, not a guarantee of how the watch will sit on every wrist; Yema’s published specifications do not include a lug-to-lug measurement. Yema’s 300 m water-resistance figure is also a specification, not a report of independent pressure testing. Yema’s listing
What the CMM.20 micro-rotor adds
Yema specifies a Manufacture Morteau 20 calibre, a self-winding movement with a ball-bearing rotor. Its published specifications are a frequency of 28,800 A/h, a 70-hour power reserve, hours, minutes and seconds, and a stated daily rate of -3/+7 seconds. These are Yema’s figures; independent movement testing was not available in the cited coverage. Yema’s movement specifications

- Stainless Steel case with Black Resin Band
- Black Dial with date window at 3 O'clock
- Luminous markers and hour hands; sweep second hand
- Anti-reverse bezel
- Water-resistant to 200 M (660 feet)
The micro-rotor architecture is the reason this version is mechanically distinct from a conventional automatic diver: it uses a small rotor integrated into the movement rather than a full-size rotor spanning its back. The practical appeal here is the combination Yema presents—a slim stated case profile and a long stated power reserve. The available evidence does not establish how this calibre performs over time or what its servicing costs and support arrangements are, so those are sensible questions to put to Yema before buying.
What independent hands-on coverage found
Fratello reported that the case and bracelet were nicely finished, but said inspection with a loupe revealed questionable finishing on the hour hand. That is one reviewer’s observation, not confirmation of a production defect or a claim that every example has the same issue. It is the most specific independent finishing criticism in the available coverage. Fratello’s hands-on review

A France Horlogerie newsletter dated June 27, 2024 reported that the launch was limited to 500 examples. Is it a better pick than Yema’s less expensive dive watches?
The CMM.20 version’s strongest case is its combination of restrained dimensions and a micro-rotor movement with a manufacturer-stated 70-hour reserve. Whether that warrants choosing it over a less expensive Yema diver depends on how much value you place on this movement architecture and the slim profile, alongside the specific dial, bezel and bracelet design.
The available comparison evidence does not provide current specifications or prices for other Yema divers, so a meaningful model-by-model value ranking is not possible here. Compare the exact alternatives by case size and thickness, movement and reserve, water-resistance specification, bracelet or strap setup, current local price and availability, and any independent finishing observations. The 20 mm lug width makes straps a possible alternative, but no particular third-party strap fit has been verified for this watch.
