Yes—in the sense that Dennison has returned as a watch brand with a new collection. In Russell Sheldrake’s 16 November 2024 opinion article for Time+Tide, the relaunch is presented as a promising revival, not as a proven commercial success. The article describes a modern dress watch drawing on Dennison’s historic case-making legacy; it does not establish current sales, prices, or availability.
What has returned?
Dennison was historically known for making watch cases. The revived brand is now presenting complete watches, including a cushion-case dress watch collection. The return is therefore a brand relaunch built around a historic design lineage, rather than a claim that the original business has resumed unchanged.
How does the new watch connect to Dennison’s past?
The collection’s cushion-shaped case draws on an original Dennison case from the 1930s. The relaunch design is credited to Emmanuel Gueit. That connection gives the modern watch a specific historical reference, while the article does not provide enough technical detail to treat it as a reproduction of a particular original model.
The watch is described as using a Swiss Ronda quartz movement. The article gives no movement reference or complete specification, so it does not establish the precise caliber or other technical details. Dials discussed include stone and sunray finishes.

Who brought Dennison back, and why?
The article identifies Toby Sutton as Dennison’s owner. He said his research into the brand began in 2010, after he and his father, Simon Sutton, encountered Dennison-made cases in old pocket watches and vintage Rolex and Omega watches. Sutton described how those discoveries led him to investigate the company’s history:
“It was back in 2010, after years of opening old pocket watches and vintage Rolex and Omega watches with my father (Simon Sutton – a vintage watch expert) and seeing Dennison made cases for them that I started to research into the brand’s long history and why they were not still going today.”

Does the revival count as a success?
Sheldrake’s article calls the relaunch a success and describes the watches as attracting attention. Those are the author’s assessment and observations, not published sales figures or independently measured demand. The article reports that a tiger’s-eye model was difficult to keep in stock when it was written in November 2024, but that dated observation cannot establish current inventory or ongoing popularity.
The article also reports that Dennison historically produced up to 200,000 cases a year. It does not identify the record-keeping source or the year represented, so the figure should be understood as a number reported by the article, not as a fully documented annual statistic.
