The HUAWEI WATCH FIT 3 can be the better buy if you want a lightweight rectangular watch, fitness essentials and fewer charging stops. It is not a full substitute for an Apple Watch: the app and service ecosystem is a meaningful step down. The fairest head-to-head here is with the Apple Watch SE (2nd generation), not every Apple Watch model.
What you get with the WATCH FIT 3
The Fit 3 is a fitness-oriented smartwatch with a 1.82-inch AMOLED display, built-in GPS and 5ATM water resistance. TechRadar lists its dimensions as 43.2 × 36.3 × 9.9 mm and its weight as approximately 26 g without the strap. Those are review-reported specifications, not a claim that it has Apple Watch software or identical functionality. TechRadar’s review praised its screen, design and fitness tracking.
HUAWEI’s Ireland specification page lists Bluetooth 5.2 and cautions that water resistance is not permanent: it can deteriorate with wear. It gives an operating temperature range of −10°C to +45°C. NFC is supported only on the White (Leather) and Grey versions listed there, so check the precise regional variant rather than assuming every Fit 3 can make contactless payments. HUAWEI’s specifications are region-specific.
Battery life: the Fit 3’s clearest advantage
HUAWEI gives three distinct battery figures, each tied to its own test assumptions. Its maximum of 10 days was measured with 30 minutes of Bluetooth calls and music weekly, always-on heart-rate monitoring, TruSleep at night, an average of 90 minutes of GPS exercise weekly, specified notifications and 200 screen activations per day. That is a defined test, not a promise of 10 days for every owner.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
| Figure | What it means | Source and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 10 days | Maximum under HUAWEI’s stated test conditions. | HUAWEI specification page; includes the limited weekly calls, music and GPS use described above. |
| 7 days | HUAWEI’s typical-use estimate. | HUAWEI specification page; test includes stress detection, automatic SpO₂, 180 minutes of GPS exercise weekly and 30 minutes of screen-on time daily. |
| 4 days | Estimate with always-on display enabled under stated typical-use conditions. | HUAWEI specification page. |
| 4–5 days with AOD | Independent reviewer’s reported experience. | Wareable comparison; a review observation, not a universal result. |
| About 18 hours | Typical-use estimate for Apple Watch SE (2nd generation) in the comparison. | Wareable; daily charging is generally expected. |
In practical terms, the Fit 3 is the stronger choice if charging less often matters more than having Apple’s watch features. Actual endurance will vary with use and settings, especially GPS and the always-on display.
Fit 3 vs Apple Watch SE 2: the trade-offs
| Consideration | HUAWEI WATCH FIT 3 | Apple Watch SE (2nd generation) |
|---|---|---|
| Apps and services | Wareable says Huawei does not offer the same breadth of apps and services. | Wareable describes a much broader app and service ecosystem and Apple Pay support. |
| Health tracking | Tracks heart rate, sleep, stress and SpO₂; Wareable says it lacks ECG. | Tracks heart rate and sleep; Wareable says it lacks ECG and blood oxygen monitoring. |
| Fitness | Built-in GPS and workout modes. | Wareable highlights runner features and Fitness+ integration. |
| Battery | HUAWEI states 7 days typical under its test conditions; Wareable reported 4–5 days with AOD enabled. | Wareable says typical use is about 18 hours, with daily charging generally expected. |
Choose by the feature you would actually miss. If you depend on Apple services, particular third-party apps or Apple Pay, the SE 2 is the safer fit. If your priority is a rectangular fitness watch with longer battery life, and you can live with a narrower app selection, the Fit 3 makes a credible alternative.

How much should you trust its fitness and sleep data?
Reviewer reports are encouraging for running, but they are not a guarantee of accuracy for every person or workout. TechRadar said distance, pace and heart rate tracked well in its running tests, while noting that the screen sometimes went to sleep during activity. Wareable reported no running-distance problems in comparisons with an Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Garmin Fenix 7S, and close heart-rate correlation against a Garmin HRM-Pro in several sessions. These are observations from those reviewers’ test sessions, not a general accuracy certification.
Sleep tracking was less consistent in Wareable’s experience: estimates could differ from Oura and Whoop, and the reviewer described a flight on which the Fit 3 did not register sleep. Treat sleep estimates as a guide rather than a definitive record, particularly if precise sleep measurement is a deciding factor.

Compatibility, price and support to check before buying
TechRadar described the Fit 3 as compatible with Android and iOS, but that review also said it was unavailable in the United States at the time. Availability, app requirements and regional features can change; confirm that the current HUAWEI Health app and watch variant are available where you live before purchase.
- Compare current local prices: TechRadar’s review-era prices were £139.99 in the UK and AU$222; Wareable cited approximately £139 in its publication. These are historical figures, not current offers. Wareable’s roughly $249 figure for the SE 2 is also historical, not a current quote.
- Check the exact variant: NFC availability differs by colour/version on HUAWEI’s Ireland specification page; do not assume payment support from the model name alone.
- Review software support carefully: HUAWEI’s specification page stated a two-year defined security support period through 20 May 2026. That date has passed, and the available specifications do not establish whether updates continued afterward.
- Check warranty and returns: Confirm local coverage and the seller’s terms, particularly when buying an imported or region-specific version.
Wareable’s comparison focuses on the SE 2, so its conclusions should not be generalized to newer or higher-end Apple Watch models.
