The Rolex Land-Dweller is a new Oyster Perpetual collection unveiled in 2025, offered in 36 mm and 40 mm sizes. Its defining features are calibre 7135 with Rolex’s new Dynapulse escapement and a Flat Jubilee bracelet designed to flow visually into the case. Rolex’s technical descriptions are manufacturer specifications, not independent laboratory findings.
What is the Rolex Land-Dweller?
Rolex presents the Land-Dweller as a contemporary interpretation of the integrated-bracelet watch: a design in which the bracelet appears to continue directly from the case. The collection’s launch release points to Rolex Quartz in 1969 and a self-winding Datejust in 1974 as historical precedents, and describes a graphic honeycomb motif on the dial. These are Rolex’s own design and historical characterizations. Rolex’s 2025 launch release calls it a modern reinterpretation of watches with integrated bracelets.
The collection includes white Rolesor (Oystersteel and white gold), 18 ct Everose gold and 950 platinum versions. The exact material, dial, bezel and other details depend on the reference; the collection name alone does not mean every configuration has the same specification.
Sizes and example references
Rolex lists two diameters, 36 mm and 40 mm. The official model pages illustrate the difference with two White Rolesor references:

Calibre 7135 and the Dynapulse escapement
Rolex equips the Land-Dweller with calibre 7135, a self-winding mechanical movement. For reference 127234, Rolex specifies approximately 66 hours of power reserve and a precision rating of −2/+2 seconds per day after casing. Rolex’s technical newsroom says the movement runs at 5 Hz, or 36,000 beats per hour (600 per minute), resulting in ten jumps of the seconds hand per second. These are manufacturer specifications.

Rolex describes Dynapulse as a new high-performance escapement. According to its watchmaking features explanation, it uses oil rather than grease, applied in nanolitre quantities with a curved precision needle. The escapement is assembled and lubricated on an external support before being inserted into the movement. Rolex also identifies a ceramic balance staff, an optimized Paraflex shock absorber with a “double cone” internal structure, and an enhanced leaf spring as parts of the movement’s design.
Flat Jubilee bracelet and finishing
The Flat Jubilee is central to the Land-Dweller’s integrated appearance. Rolex describes it as a continuation of the case, with the bracelet and case intended to read as one form rather than separate components. Its technical account also notes concealed attachment hardware: a short spring bar secured against rotation and ceramic inserts intended to help prevent premature wear at the first articulated link.

Rolex describes polished chamfers along the bracelet edges and a technical satin finish on the case and outer links, set against polished surfaces. It also says the distinctive cut-ended hour markers are made from a mixture of luminescent ceramic powder and thermosetting polymer, machined to shape. These are descriptions of Rolex’s construction and manufacturing approach, not independent durability assessments.
How to compare Land-Dweller variants
