What makes this PRX a Grendizer edition?
The black PVD coating changes the standard PRX’s steel appearance to a darker, more tactical finish across both the case and integrated bracelet. The black dial carries a sculpted Grendizer bust treated with Super-LumiNova, creating the character-focused luminous element after dark.
The seconds hand uses an 18K gold Harken-style design cue. On the reverse, a transparent engraved caseback reveals an engraved movement rotor and the watch’s individual limited-edition number. Tissot presents the watch in a Spazer-inspired UFO capsule, extending the theme beyond the dial and case.
Movement, reserve and everyday specifications
Inside is Tissot’s Swiss automatic Powermatic 80. Its stated reserve is up to 80 hours, so a fully wound watch can continue running for more than three days when left off the wrist. The Nivachron balance spring is designed to improve resistance to magnetic fields and everyday environmental effects, although it does not turn the watch into an antimagnetic instrument with a separate certified rating.
#1 Best Overall
- Case Size: 40.00 millimeter; Band Width: 12 millimeter; Case Thickness: 10.40 millimeter
- Swiss quartz movement, 316L stainless steel case, Index dial type, date
- Stainless steel bracelet, butterfly clasp with push-buttons closure
- Water-resistant up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 meter / 330 feet): Suitable for short periods of recreational swimming and showering, but no diving or snorkeling.
The movement provides a date display in addition to the time indications. Water resistance is rated at 10 bar, equivalent to 100 metres or 330 feet under test conditions. That rating supports ordinary swimming and similar use when the crown and case are properly secured, but it is not a promise of performance in every water activity.
The 40 mm case is 10.93 mm thick and weighs 140 g on its bracelet. Sapphire crystal with antireflective coating protects the dial. The two-year warranty noted on the US product page applies to that market’s purchase terms.

Price and current availability
Tissot lists the watch at $1,100 in the United States and £915 in the United Kingdom. These are separate market prices, not a currency conversion or a universal global price.
The US product page currently shows “Sold Out” and states that the model “will not be restocked.” That status applies to the US listing at the time shown and should not be read as proof that every example worldwide is unavailable. Tissot describes distribution through selected points of sale and online channels in selected markets, making country, retailer and timing important when searching for an unworn piece.
Rank #3

How to check before buying
- Search by the full reference T137.407.33.051.01 or SKU T1374073305101, rather than relying only on “black PRX Grendizer.”
- Check Tissot’s product page for your country and confirm that the seller is an authorized point of sale.
- Ask the retailer to confirm the individual number, original Spazer-inspired capsule, engraved caseback and warranty documentation.
- For secondary-market examples, compare the caseback number and black PVD condition with the seller’s photographs; PVD wear can expose the underlying steel at edges and high-contact areas.
Who is this watch for?
This edition is aimed at buyers who want the PRX’s integrated-bracelet shape but prefer a character-led collectible over a conventional dress-sport watch. The Grendizer references are visible in the luminous dial sculpture, Harken-style hand, engraved rotor and themed capsule, while the automatic movement, date and 10-bar rating keep the specification practical for regular wear.
It is less suitable for anyone seeking a plain, easily replaceable PRX configuration or a light-colored steel finish: the design is intentionally specific, and the black PVD surface will show use differently from untreated stainless steel. Because the run is individually numbered and the US listing says it will not be restocked, availability—not a promise of future value—may be the central purchasing constraint.
Rank #4
- Case Size: 38.00 mm, Band Width: 25mm, Case Thickness: 10.98 mm
- Automatic movement, leather strap, Index dial type, Date
- Water-resistant up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 m / 300 ft): suitable for short periods of recreational swimming and showering, but no diving or snorkeling.
Bottom line
The Tissot PRX UFO Robot Grendizer 50th Anniversary delivers a fully themed PRX rather than a cosmetic dial variant: black PVD 316L steel, character-focused lume, an engraved transparent back, a Spazer-inspired presentation capsule and the 80-hour Powermatic 80 platform. Its $1,100 US and £915 UK list prices, plus the US sold-out notice, make the exact market and seller essential parts of any buying decision.
