How does the 2026 movement listing differ from the launch report?
The movement specification is not consistent across the available sources. Monochrome Watches’ June 19, 2025 first look reported an ETA Peseux 7001 Elaboré, hand-wound, with 17 jewels and a 42-hour power reserve. Its launch price was EUR 1,079 excluding VAT. MAEN’s live page, checked October 4, 2026, instead lists a La Joux-Perret D100 with 18 jewels and approximately 50 hours of reserve, at EUR 1,159.20 per variant. The different dates and stated tax basis mean those prices should not be treated as a like-for-like comparison.
The sources do not explain why the movement listing differs, establish whether all earlier watches used the ETA, or confirm that every regional product page has been updated. If movement lineage is important, ask MAEN to confirm the movement fitted to the exact reference being ordered rather than relying on either description alone.

What does the compact case mean for fit?
The 37mm diameter is only one part of how this watch may sit on a wrist. MAEN lists a 47.4mm lug-to-lug measurement and an integrated bracelet, so consider the full case-and-bracelet shape and sizing rather than judging by diameter alone. The 7.1mm thickness is the model’s clearest dimensional distinction: it is a notably slim profile on paper, but dimensions do not substitute for trying the watch on.
The bracelet tapers from 24mm at the case to 16mm at the clasp. The listing identifies a butterfly clasp but does not provide bracelet-adjustment instructions or enough information here to assess fit across wrist sizes. There has been no firsthand wear, timing, bracelet-adjustment, or water test behind this article.

What are the dial and layout like?
The dial combines a textured, hammered-style surface with a small-seconds register at six and no date. That gives the face a different arrangement from a conventional central-seconds, date-equipped watch. MAEN says the hammered design takes inspiration from rare Tuscan dials of the 1990s; that is the manufacturer’s account of its design influence.
The current listing names four colors: Forest Green, Midnight Blue, Salmon, and Ghost Grey. Availability can vary by reference and over time, so check the product page for the version on offer.

MAEN’s current collection page lists the Manhattan 37 Ultra-Thin alongside the standard Manhattan 37, Manhattan 39 Ultra-Thin, and Manhattan 37 Ultra-Thin Stone. The models are not interchangeable just because they share the Manhattan name. Is the Manhattan 37 Ultra-Thin the right choice?
It is worth considering if your priorities are a slim mechanical watch, a 37mm case, an integrated steel bracelet, and a dial without a date. The 47.4mm lug-to-lug measurement deserves equal attention to the diameter when assessing fit. If a specific movement is a deciding factor, resolve the discrepancy between the current MAEN listing and the 2025 report with the seller before purchase.
