The Jacob & Co. Casino Tourbillon pairs central hours and minutes with a roulette game that starts on demand: press a pusher and the table spins while a white ceramic ball moves before settling in a pocket. Its flying tourbillon is not on the dial; Jacob & Co. places it on the caseback, leaving the roulette mechanism as the watch’s dial-side spectacle.
How the roulette complication works
Jacob & Co. describes the roulette table as a fully functional game of roulette. A pusher activates the animation; the table is mounted on ball bearings, and a white ceramic ball eventually lands in one of its pockets. The roulette function is on demand, rather than a continuously running display. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independently verified performance tests. Jacob & Co.’s ruby-set product page identifies the pusher at 7 o’clock, while the Japanese listing for the rose-gold reference places it at 8 o’clock. The position therefore depends on the cited version.
Where the flying tourbillon fits
The flying tourbillon is visible through the caseback, not on the dial. Jacob & Co. says its carriage completes one rotation per minute and describes the caseback placement as a first for its tourbillon watches. This arrangement keeps the roulette game visually central on the dial while making the tourbillon a movement-side feature. It is a design choice, not evidence by itself of superior accuracy.
The movement behind the display
Jacob & Co. lists the hand-wound caliber JCAM51 with 268 components, a 72-hour power reserve and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz). Its listed functions are central hours and minutes, on-demand roulette and a flying tourbillon making one rotation in 60 seconds. These figures are manufacturer specifications; the available material does not include independent accuracy testing, long-term durability results or service-cost evidence. The official ruby-set specification page provides the movement and function details.

Two references, different editions and dial treatments
The documented rose-gold and ruby-set watches share a 44 mm diameter and 16.30 mm thickness, but their dials, edition sizes and cited regional pricing differ. Specifications and price below belong to the named reference; they should not be generalized across the collection.

What the listed price does—and does not—tell you
For reference CA100.40.AA.AA.A, Jacob & Co.’s Japanese site lists a tax-included suggested retail price of ¥57,200,000 and notes that it may change. That is a regional listing for that reference, not a guaranteed current price for every version or a global price. The reviewed pages do not establish current stock. Wempe presents a rose-gold Casino Tourbillon with JCAM51, manual winding, a flying tourbillon and roulette automation, and identifies itself as an official concessionaire, but its cited page gives no price. A retailer listing indicates retail presentation, not confirmed availability. Wempe’s listing is the retailer reference.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is this an affordable roulette watch?
No—the documented Casino Tourbillon is an ultra-luxury mechanical watch, and the Japanese listing for the 101-piece rose-gold reference is ¥57,200,000 including tax, subject to change. The cited sources establish that the roulette animation works as an on-demand mechanical feature, but they do not establish an affordable alternative with a working roulette ball. Nor do they provide evidence for how the watch performs over time or what it costs to service.
