What happens when you fold the glasses?
Ray-Ban’s FAQ says closing the glasses pauses audio streaming. Opening them reconnects the glasses to the audio source over Bluetooth. That behavior helps prevent music continuing while the glasses are off your face, although reconnection can depend on the phone and app state.

Apple Music is missing from Meta AI
- Update the Meta AI app.
- Confirm that the glasses are paired and currently connected.
- Check the Apple Music connected-service screen again after restarting the app.
- Verify regional availability and the Apple Music account you intend to use.
- Revoke and reauthorize Apple Music if the authorization appears stalled.
Playback works, but voice search does not
This can affect only search, not playback. First start Apple Music manually from the phone or with the tap-and-hold gesture. Then test “pause,” “skip” and “volume up.” If those work but a named request fails, possible causes include disabled Voice Control, ambiguous content names, incomplete authorization, a software change or regional and language differences. The glasses say they cannot play music
Try the more specific phrase “Hey Meta, play Apple Music,” start playback on the phone, verify Apple Music is the active connected service, and test basic controls. Reconnecting the service may help, but Ray-Ban does not guarantee that these steps resolve every failure. Anecdotal user reports describe similar behavior: Reddit report and another Reddit report.
Voice recognition fails in a noisy environment
Move to a quieter location, use a shorter command or use the touch gestures. The glasses provide no visual confirmation screen, so physical controls are the dependable fallback when speech is misheard.

- Phone-independent cellular or Wi-Fi streaming.
- Lyrics, visual album browsing or a full on-glasses library interface.
- Editing playlists, managing the queue or switching Apple Music accounts by voice.
- Every command working in every language, country or phone configuration.
Those functions are outside the capabilities established by Ray-Ban’s current documentation.
