Announced on 1 April 2025, it pairs a 36 mm or 40 mm Oyster case with a new integrated Flat Jubilee bracelet, honeycomb-pattern dial and Rolex’s high-frequency calibre 7135 with Dynapulse escapement.
What is the Rolex Land-Dweller?
The Land-Dweller is a new Rolex collection designed around an integrated-bracelet architecture. Unlike a conventional watch in which the bracelet meets the case as a separate component, the new Flat Jubilee bracelet is shaped to flow directly into the Oyster case. Rolex gives the dial a honeycomb motif, creating a visual signature distinct from the brand’s established sport and dress families.
Rolex announced the watch on 1 April 2025 as part of its New Watches 2025 releases. The collection is offered in two case diameters and several precious-metal configurations.

Both sizes use the same calibre 7135 movement. Exact references, configurations and regional availability should be checked against Rolex’s current catalogue because those details can change independently of the collection’s launch specifications.

Calibre 7135 and the Dynapulse escapement
Calibre 7135 is developed and manufactured entirely by Rolex. Its regulating system combines a Dynapulse escapement with a high-frequency oscillator running at 5 Hz, equivalent to 36,000 beats per hour.
- Frequency: 5 Hz (36,000 beats per hour).
- Stated precision resolution: Rolex says the movement measures time to one tenth of a second.
- Power reserve: approximately 66 hours.
- Architecture: the movement is visible through a transparent case back on the versions described in Rolex’s launch material.
The Dynapulse system is the technical centre of the Land-Dweller story. Rolex lists 32 patent applications and patents connected with the watch; 18 are exclusive to the Land-Dweller, and 16 of those concern the movement. Those figures describe intellectual-property filings and grants, not a simple count of visible complications.

How the Flat Jubilee bracelet changes the design
An integrated transition
The Flat Jubilee is a new 2025 interpretation of Rolex’s Jubilee bracelet. Its links are engineered to meet the Oyster case as a continuous form rather than appearing attached to conventional lugs. Chamfers and alternating polished and technical satin surfaces are intended to create what Rolex calls a continuous ribbon of light.
The honeycomb dial
The honeycomb pattern gives the Land-Dweller a texture that reinforces its modern, engineered character. Dial colour, markers, bezel treatment and gem setting depend on the individual reference, so the pattern is the collection’s common visual element rather than a guarantee of identical specifications across every model.

The Oyster case is specified as water-resistant to 100 metres (330 feet). That rating is suitable for ordinary swimming and surface-water use when the watch is correctly maintained and its crown and case are properly secured; it is not a claim of unlimited resistance under every condition.
Why the Land-Dweller matters to Rolex
The Land-Dweller brings three substantial developments together in one mainstream Rolex launch: a new integrated-bracelet case design, a new high-frequency movement and a large set of associated patent work. Rolex describes it as the result of more than a century of watchmaking experience, while the bracelet and dial establish a recognisable identity instead of treating the watch as a minor variation of an existing line.

It also connects to Rolex’s earlier experiments with integrated-bracelet watches. The Land-Dweller does not simply revive an old design: it reinterprets that idea through the Flat Jubilee construction, Oyster case proportions and contemporary calibre 7135.

Choose the 36 mm model if:
- You prefer a compact proportion or a more traditional wrist presence.
- You want the integrated bracelet without the visual or physical scale of the 40 mm case.
- A smaller case better suits your wrist or wearing habits.
Choose the 40 mm model if:
- You want the larger dial opening and stronger wrist presence.
- You prefer the visual impact of the broader integrated-bracelet silhouette.
- The selected bezel, dial or gem-set configuration is available in the 40 mm reference you want.
Size is the primary practical difference; the movement and stated water-resistance rating are shared across the collection. Material, bezel, dial and gem-setting choices can matter as much as diameter when comparing individual references.

Watches and Wonders 2025 context
The Land-Dweller was unveiled during Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025, a fair whose foundation announced 60 exhibiting brands. The foundation also reported 49,000 visitors for the April 2024 edition. Those figures indicate the scale of the event, but they do not constitute a Rolex statement that the Land-Dweller was the fair’s official “headline act.” Its prominence comes from being Rolex’s principal new-watch introduction for 2025.
