The 44mm Samsung Galaxy Watch7 is the larger of Samsung’s 2024 Wear OS watches. It combines a 1.5-inch 480×480 Super AMOLED display, five-core 3nm Exynos W1000 chip, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage and a 425mAh battery. Samsung quotes up to 40 hours with always-on display off and up to 30 hours with it on; independent testing found roughly 30–50 hours depending on use.

Bluetooth or LTE: which 44mm model?
Bluetooth (SM-L310)
The Bluetooth watch relies mainly on a paired phone for calls, messages and emergency communication when you are away from Wi-Fi. It is the lower-cost choice if your phone normally stays with you.
LTE (SM-L315)
LTE can handle calls, messages, streaming and connected services away from the phone, but requires eSIM activation, a compatible carrier, network coverage and a recurring wearable plan. LTE does not remove every phone requirement: setup, accounts and some health functions still involve a compatible Galaxy phone.

Both versions share the same case, display, processor, sensors, Wi-Fi, NFC and GPS specifications. Confirm cellular-band support, carrier compatibility and regional warranty before ordering.
Display, case and 44mm versus 40mm
The 44mm case gives you a larger, easier-to-read screen and a 425mAh battery. The 40mm model uses a 1.3-inch display, 300mAh battery and weighs 28.8g; the 44mm weighs 33.8g. Choose 44mm for readability and endurance, or 40mm for a smaller, lighter fit. Case diameter and band comfort are separate decisions, so check the included band range for the exact retail SKU.
Processor, software and storage
Exynos W1000 is a five-core 3nm platform paired with 2GB RAM, making the watch responsive in independent review testing. The advertised 32GB is not all available for apps and music: Samsung lists approximately 21.1GB usable on its Bluetooth product page. Watch7 launched with Wear OS 5; Samsung’s support page lists a Wear OS 6.0 manual dated November 4, 2025, but the software installed on a specific unit depends on updates and region.

- Next-Generation 3nm Processor: Exynos W1000 chipset delivers significantly faster performance and smoother app navigation.
Battery and charging
| Condition | Samsung claim | Practical context |
|---|---|---|
| Always-on display off | Up to 40 hours | Maximum estimate, not guaranteed runtime |
| Always-on display on | Up to 30 hours | Usage, network and settings change results |
Samsung specifies a 425mAh battery and WPC-based magnetic wireless charging. Android Central reported about two days with AOD off and light use, but approximately 33–36 hours on outdoor-workout days; its broader testing range was roughly 30–50 hours, with about 90–100 minutes for a full charge. GPS workouts, LTE, streaming, bright settings, assistants and continuous sensors can shorten runtime. Wireless PowerShare from a Galaxy phone is not supported according to that review, so carry the proprietary charger and verify whether your retailer’s package includes one.

Samsung lists an accelerometer, barometer, bioelectrical-impedance sensor, electrical heart sensor, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, infrared temperature sensor, light sensor and optical heart-rate sensor.

Double Pinch requires pairing with a Samsung Galaxy smartphone running One UI 6.1.1 or later. Health measurements are general-wellness tools and should not replace medical advice.
Android and iPhone compatibility
Samsung’s general requirement is Android 11 or newer with more than 1.5GB of device memory. Non-Samsung Android phones can use the core watch experience, but advanced Samsung Health functions may be restricted. Samsung separately lists Android 9.0-or-later Galaxy-phone requirements for blood pressure; that feature-specific requirement does not replace the newer general compatibility requirement. The watch is not an iPhone-compatible Apple Watch alternative.
GPS, Wi-Fi and other connections
Both variants support Bluetooth 5.3, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi on 2.4GHz and 5GHz, NFC, and GPS networks including GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo. Samsung markets dual-band L1/L5 GPS; supported hardware does not guarantee perfect positioning in every urban or obstructed environment. Bluetooth profiles include A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and HSP.

Water resistance and durability
Watch7 carries 5ATM water resistance, IP68 protection and MIL-STD-810H durability testing. Swimming and shallow-water use are different from diving or high-pressure activities; these ratings are not scuba-diving certification. Water resistance can decline with aging, impact, repairs or wear. Follow Samsung’s current care and safety guidance rather than treating the watch as indestructible.
Price and buying decision
Samsung’s US December 2025 MSRP sheet lists $279.99 for 44mm Bluetooth and $329.99 for 44mm LTE. Those are reference MSRPs, not guaranteed August 2026 street prices: retailer sales, trade-ins, bundles, carrier financing, stock and warranty region can change the real cost. LTE also adds a carrier plan.
Watch8 44mm is listed at $379.99 Bluetooth and $429.99 LTE on the same sheet, so compare current prices before buying. A discounted Watch7 makes sense when the gap is substantial; a small gap favors the newer model. Pixel Watch models suit buyers prioritizing Fitbit and Google services, while OnePlus Watch models are worth considering if multi-day battery life matters more than Samsung integration. Verify the current model and price before purchase.
