The Seiko Prospex SRPH55, SRPH57 and SRPH59 share a 45 mm automatic-diver platform; the choice is chiefly between three turtle-shell-inspired dial colors and matching alternate silicone straps. SRPH55 is brown, SRPH57 turquoise, and SRPH59 blue. Seiko gives the SRPH57 a 4R36 movement, sapphire crystal with inner anti-reflective coating, ceramic bezel and 200 m water resistance—useful specifications for understanding the family, though the detailed dimensions and materials below are listed specifically for that reference.
Which colorway is each Seiko SRPH reference?
Seiko announced the three watches on October 8, 2021, as U.S.-exclusive Prospex special editions. The company described the dial designs as inspired by sea-turtle shells. Seiko catalog material maps each reference to a matching alternate silicone strap:

All three are supplied with a stainless-steel bracelet as well as the listed silicone strap. Seiko calls them special editions; its announcement does not specify a production limit. The trio is therefore better described as the U.S. special editions than as limited editions.
What do the three watches have in common?
The references share a 45 mm stainless-steel diver design, Seiko automatic caliber 4R36, approximately 41-hour power reserve, English/Kanji day-date display, ceramic unidirectional elapsed-time bezel and 200 m water-resistance specification. Catalog material also describes a special-edition caseback. Seiko’s SRPH57 product listing supplies the most detailed specification set for the family; where a dimension or material is stated specifically for SRPH57 below, it should not automatically be treated as separately verified for every reference.

The 45 mm diameter and 13.2 mm thickness make wrist fit an important personal consideration. Those measurements describe the SRPH57 listing; dimensions alone cannot establish how the watch will feel on a particular wrist. The 22 mm lug width is also stated for the SRPH57, so confirm compatibility rather than assuming every strap will fit every reference.

How to choose between SRPH55, SRPH57 and SRPH59
Choose by dial and strap color
- SRPH55: brown patterned dial with a brown alternate silicone strap.
- SRPH57: turquoise patterned dial with a green alternate silicone strap.
- SRPH59: blue patterned dial with a blue alternate silicone strap.
The shared black ceramic bezel and steel bracelet provide a common frame, while the textured dial is the most visible distinction. Which color is easiest to read or most appealing is a matter of preference; no comparative legibility testing is established here.
Consider size and intended use
For a large diver, the 45 mm case is a defining part of this family, and Seiko lists the SRPH57 at 13.2 mm thick. If you are unsure about the proportions, compare those measurements with a watch you already wear or try the specific reference on. Seiko states that the SRPH57 is suitable for scuba diving under its specified ISO standards and rates it to 200 m; those ratings are product specifications, not a substitute for checking the watch’s condition, crown security and operating instructions before use.

Movement and display
The automatic 4R36 offers a day-date display in English and Kanji, with an approximately 41-hour reserve listed for the SRPH57 and in catalog summaries for the trio. That reserve is the stated running time when fully wound, not a claim about measured accuracy. The sources provide no independent timekeeping results for these references.
What the sea-turtle edition means—and what it does not establish
Seiko Watch of America framed the 2021 release around its sponsorship of Oceanic Society and the organization’s sea-turtle conservation work, referencing the State of the World’s Sea Turtles program. The watches use shell-inspired dials and casebacks engraved with a sea turtle. Seiko said, “A portion of the proceeds will go directly toward the Oceanic Society’s work.” The announcement does not state the portion, a total donation, a quantified conservation outcome, or whether the same arrangement continues today. That is a brand statement about the launch, not an independently quantified impact result.

Seiko also described the design as a reinterpretation of its 1977 cushion-case diver, which fans informally nicknamed “the Turtle.” In this context, Turtle refers to the design lineage and community nickname; it is not the formal model name for SRPH55, SRPH57 or SRPH59.

Pricing depends on the date and source. Seiko’s October 2021 announcement gave suggested retail prices of $750 and $785 for the three editions collectively but did not assign either figure to a particular reference in the announcement. A later Seiko catalog lists $750 for each. The official U.S. SRPH57 page displayed $750 when captured October 4, 2026. These are historical or page-captured figures, not a guarantee of a current offer or the price of every reference.
