Tiger Woods is a professional golfer considered one of the best of all time. Tiger’s career began in 1997 when he won the U.S. Masters, cementing himself in the annals of golf by becoming the youngest champion at 21-years-old and the first African American to win the prestigious tournament.
Tiger Woods was born Eldrick Tont Woods on December 30, 1975, to retired U.S. Army officer Earl Woods and his wife, Kutilda Woods. Eldrick got the nickname of Tiger to honor his father’s close friend, South Vietnamese Colonel Vuong Dang Phong, with who he served during the Vietnam War.
After making history in the 1997 U.S. Masters Tournament, Tiger Woods built a historic golf career wherein he racked up 82 career wins so far, breaking former record holder Jack Nicklaus’ record of 72.

Golf Career Highlights

Other than being the youngest U.S. Masters champion, Tiger Woods collected other notable achievements throughout his career. At 24, Woods again set the record as the youngest grand slam winner with a trifecta of championship gold in the 1997 Masters, 2000 PGA Championship, and 2000 U.S. Open Championship.
Tiger Woods currently has 15 major championship wins in his professional career, with the latest notch being a victory in the 2019 U.S. Masters. Tiger Woods also made 20 holes-in-one in his professional career so far.
If Michael Jordan is synonymous with basketball, there is no doubt that Tiger Woods holds the same recognition in golf.

Personal Life

The last couple of decades weren’t the nicest to Tiger Woods, though, as it was plagued by controversies left and right. This series of events undoubtedly tarnished his legacy, but it seems that Woods is working hard to turn his tainted image around.
Tiger Woods is also the founder and CEO of TGR, a multi-brand enterprise that works on several endeavors, including gold course design, events production, sports restaurant, and charity.
Unfortunately, Tiger Woods was involved in a vehicular accident on February 23, 2021, wherein he suffered severe injuries. As of this writing, Tiger Woods has already underwent five back surgeries and a couple of knee surgeries. He is recovering nicely and is still undergoing rigorous physical therapy.
Despite the rather turbulent decade or so, Tiger Woods managed to make a comeback in 2018 and hit the ground running – not skipping a beat. Thus, earning the nickname of Comeback King. As one of the best golfers in history, Tiger needs to look the part. What better way to do so than with a superb luxury timepiece?

One of the Rolex standard-bearers, the Rolex Submariner is a classic timepiece with a timeless design. The Rolex Submariner’s case design is so polished that other watch brands follow a similar build. Simple, reliable, and professional, the Submariner symbolizes dependability and class.
Tiger Woods wears the Rolex Submariner on most occasions due to the watch’s versatile charm. Also, the Submariner is a relatively more compact and comfortable dress timepiece compared to some of Tiger’s other Rolex collections.
With its 40mm stainless steel case and slim frame, the Rolex Submariner acts as both a reliable dive watch and a striking timepiece to wear for formal occasions as it can slide nicely under the cuffs. The case also features a unidirectional rotating bezel with black inserts – an essential component in a dive watch.
A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal comes with a slim yet sturdy stainless steel case to further enhance its overall durability. In addition, the Rolex Submariner 16610 utilizes a black dial equipped with SuperLuminova hour markers and Mercedes-style analog hands. A date display is also underneath a magnified cyclops lens for enhanced readability.
The classic Rolex Submariner’s heart is the reliable and high-precision in-house Swiss caliber 3135 automatic movement with a power reserve of approximately 48-hours. As for its dive watch capability, the Rolex Submariner offers up to 300-meters of water resistance, making it a suitable timepiece for swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving.

Tiger Woods’ most recent addition to his Rolex collection is the Rolex Seadweller Deepsea which pretty much breaks the limits of what a dive watch can deliver. Despite being known primarily for his skills on the golf course, Tiger Woods does enjoy sailing as a hobby. Hence, his choice of the Rolex Seadweller Deepsea.
Quite possibly, the most significant feature of the Rolex Seadweller Deepsea is its remarkable water resistance which hits the mark at 3,900-meters. As a result, the Rolex Seadweller is a timepiece that even Aquaman will undoubtedly appreciate.
In regards to aesthetics, the Rolex Seadweler Deepsea follows the Submariner closely. It features a rather large 44mm 904L stainless steel case and titanium case back. Of course, there is also a unidirectional rotating bezel made from Cerachrom material known for its fade resistance. Also of note is the inclusion of a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal window to complete its premium-grade build.
The dial focuses on readability, as a dive watch should. The black dial is accompanied by luminous hour indices and Mercedes-style analog hands that incorporate Chromalight display for optimum luminosity as it can glow for up to 8-hours.
Inside this imposing dive watch is the Swiss caliber 3135 automatic movement with a power reserve of 48-hours and an extremely accurate 28,800BPH.

Tiger Woods owns two versions of the Rolex Deepsea, the standard edition model and the special limited edition D-Blue version. The latter is a Rolex dive watch designed to honor James Cameron’s historic submarine dive into the Mariana Trench.
The main difference with the Rolex Deepsea Cameron D-Blue is its stunning gradient blue-to-black dial. Apart from the aesthetics, the watch is identical to the previous Rolex Deepsea entry. This limited edition model features 3,900-meters water resistance, Chromalight dial display, and exceptional Swiss caliber 3136 automatic movement.
The Rolex Deepsea Cameron D-Blue is specifically for watch collectors. If you choose between the Rolex Deepsea models, why not pick this exclusive unique edition model if given a chance?
