What is the white-dial Black Bay Pro reference?
TUDOR names the dial finish “Opaline”; “white dial” is a useful plain-language description. The exact steel-bracelet reference is M79470-0004. TUDOR presents it as a new dial option within the Black Bay Pro design, retaining the 39 mm case, fixed steel bezel and GMT calibre. These are manufacturer specifications for the reference, not independent measurements. TUDOR gives the lug width as 20 mm; the available product information does not establish a particular aftermarket strap or replacement part as a confirmed model-specific fit.
How the Black Bay Pro GMT works
The Manufacture Calibre MT5652 (COSC) is a self-winding movement with a bidirectional rotor system and built-in GMT architecture. The Black Bay Pro uses two Snowflake-style hour hands for different time zones, with the fixed bezel providing the 24-hour reference scale.

Reference time and local time
- The angular yellow 24-hour hand makes one turn per day and indicates reference time against the fixed bezel.
- The shorter Snowflake hand shows local time. Its hour can be jumped forward or backward independently, which makes local-time changes practical without resetting the reference-time display.
- The date is coupled to the local-time hand and changes as that hand passes midnight, including when the hour is adjusted backward.
The bezel is fixed, not rotating. TUDOR lists an approximately 70-hour power reserve. Its 2025 press kit also gives the movement’s frequency as 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz), with 28 jewels and dimensions of 31.8 mm in diameter by 7.52 mm thick. Those movement figures are from the brand’s 2025 Black Bay Pro press kit.
What changes with the Opaline dial?
The main distinction is the dial treatment: the Opaline surface is framed by black outlines around the ceramic markers and hands. TUDOR says those outlines create stronger contrast and boost legibility. That is the manufacturer’s rationale, rather than a result established by an independent legibility test. Against Black Bay Pro versions with black dials, the Opaline option offers a visibly different light-and-dark dial treatment; personal preference will determine which look appeals more.

When accessed in 2026, TUDOR’s US product page listed a suggested retail price of $5,075 for the steel-bracelet M79470-0004. This is a US listing, not a universal price, and TUDOR notes that models and prices may change. Check the current product page or an official retailer for the latest local price and stock.
TUDOR states that the watch is covered by a five-year transferable guarantee. The 2025 press kit lists Swiss prices including VAT at publication of CHF 4,050 for the bracelet version and CHF 3,750 for strap versions; these are launch-context figures, not current prices for every market.
