TUDOR’s 2025 Ranger press kit specifies both case sizes with satin-finished steel cases, while assigning different calibres and lug widths to each. The current product page provides additional case details for the 39 mm beige-dial reference.

The different calibre numbers correspond to the two case-size specifications; the available sources do not establish a performance advantage for one over the other. The 39 mm reference page also specifies a smooth satin-brushed bezel, domed sapphire crystal and a three-link steel bracelet with TUDOR “T-fit” safety catch.
Beige or black: how TUDOR describes the dials
The color wording depends on the source. The current product heading for reference M79950-0008 calls its dial beige, while the product copy describes it as matt “Dune white.” TUDOR’s 2025 press kit lists grained matt black and “Dune white” dial options. These labels identify the brand’s offered finishes; they do not amount to a real-world comparison of color or legibility in different lighting.

The cited 39 mm beige-dial product page specifies a steel bracelet. TUDOR’s 2025 press kit also presents fabric-strap configurations among the collection options, but the cited materials do not establish every size-and-dial combination or strap pairing. Check the exact reference before assuming a particular configuration is available. If choosing a replacement strap, match it to the watch’s lug width—19 mm for the 36 mm specification or 20 mm for the cited 39 mm model—and confirm the attachment system for that reference.
Which size should you choose?
The 39 mm case is 3 mm wider than the 36 mm version, and its stated lug width is 1 mm greater. Those dimensions can help narrow a choice, but they cannot establish how either Ranger will sit on a particular wrist. Wrist shape, proportions, and personal preference affect perceived size and comfort; the cited official materials do not provide comparative wear observations.

- Consider the 36 mm if you are looking for the smaller listed case size; its specified lug width is 19 mm.
- Consider the 39 mm if you prefer the larger listed diameter; the beige steel-bracelet reference M79950-0008 has a 20 mm lug width and a stated thickness of 12.0 mm.
- Try the exact size and configuration on your wrist if fit, comfort or visual scale is decisive. Do not treat case diameter alone as a fit test.

TUDOR says the Oyster Prince Ranger was introduced in the 1960s, first appeared in its catalogue in 1969, and remained there until 1988. The brand’s history page dates the pictured reference 7995/0 to 1967 and describes a 34 mm waterproof steel case with a matte black dial and luminous Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12. That history provides context for the name, but it does not by itself demonstrate uninterrupted design continuity with the current collection. See TUDOR’s history of its 1960–1969 origins.
