Amazfit launched the Bip 6 on March 31, 2025, at $79.99 in the United States through Amazfit.com and Amazon. Its defining upgrade over the Bip 5 is a 1.97-inch AMOLED screen replacing the older 1.91-inch TFT panel. Built-in GPS, Bluetooth calling and extensive fitness tracking add value, while the battery is rated for up to 14 days in typical use—but Amazfit’s heavy-use estimate is six days.
Price, launch date and availability
The Amazfit Bip 6 is not a new August 2026 release. Amazfit announced and launched it on March 31, 2025. The U.S. launch price was $79.99, and the official U.S. product page still lists that price as of August 18, 2026. Stock can differ by color, so check the selected variant rather than assuming every color is available. See the launch announcement and current product page.
What changed from the Bip 5?
| Feature | Amazfit Bip 6 | Amazfit Bip 5 |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 1.97-inch AMOLED | 1.91-inch TFT |
| Resolution | 390 × 450, 302 ppi | Not stated in the supplied specifications |
| Brightness | Up to 2,000 nits peak | Not stated in the supplied specifications |
| Construction | Aluminum-alloy frame and fiber-reinforced-polymer case | Not stated in the supplied specifications |
| Water resistance | 5 ATM | Not stated in the supplied specifications |
The screen change is the clearest generational improvement. Calling the Bip 6 “all-aluminum,” however, would be inaccurate: only the frame is aluminum alloy.
The larger AMOLED display
The 1.97-inch AMOLED panel has a 390 × 450 resolution, 302 ppi pixel density, tempered glass and an anti-fingerprint coating. AMOLED pixels can switch off for deeper blacks and stronger contrast than a TFT display, making notifications, workout data and watch faces look more polished.

Amazfit quotes up to 2,000 nits, but that is a peak figure rather than a guaranteed continuously sustained brightness. Automatic brightness must be enabled to reach the stated maximum, and the maximum is unavailable below 30% battery. High brightness and an always-on display can also shorten endurance. Full specifications are listed by Amazfit.
Battery life: four different ratings
| Use case | Amazfit rating |
|---|---|
| Typical use | Up to 14 days |
| Heavy use | Up to 6 days |
| Battery Saver mode | Up to 26 days |
| Continuous GPS | Up to 32 hours |
| Full charge | Approximately 1.5–2.5 hours |
The watch has a 340 mAh battery. The six-day heavy-use estimate includes one-minute heart-rate monitoring, sleep and stress tracking, eight hours of sleep-breathing monitoring, 150 pushed messages daily, Bluetooth calls, frequent screen activations and three GPS workouts per week. Always-on display, frequent GPS, calls, high notification volume and intensive health monitoring can reduce battery life further. These are manufacturer estimates, not a promise that every owner will reach 14 days.

Workout tracking
- More than 140 sports modes.
- Smart strength training with automatic recognition of 25 strength movements and seven sports movements.
- Zepp Coach training plans for 3K, 5K, 10K, half-marathon and marathon distances.
Health metrics
The Bip 6 records heart rate, blood oxygen, stress, sleep, sleep breathing, heart-rate variability, naps, readiness and PAI. A one-tap measurement combines heart rate, stress, blood oxygen and breathing rate in about 45 seconds. These readings are wellness and fitness indicators, not medical diagnoses or a substitute for clinical testing.
Built-in GPS
GPS is built in and supports five satellite-positioning systems, so a phone is not required for recording an outdoor route. Accuracy and acquisition speed vary with buildings, trees, weather and satellite conditions.

Maps are useful, but not full phone navigation
Maps and routes must be prepared in the Zepp app. The watch can display downloaded OpenStreetMap-based areas and imported route files during a GPS workout. It cannot simply accept an arbitrary destination on an offline map and calculate a new route, and indoor positioning is not supported. Turn-by-turn voice broadcasts support English and Chinese according to Amazfit’s notes. The official map guide explains the preparation process.
Calls, notifications and music
A microphone and speaker support Bluetooth calls, while the watch can show call, SMS and app notifications. The phone must remain connected over Bluetooth; there is no cellular modem for independent calling.

Build, sizing and water resistance
- Dimensions: 46.3 × 40.2 × 10.45 mm.
- Weight: 27.9 g without the strap.
- Materials: aluminum-alloy frame, fiber-reinforced-polymer case and tempered glass.
- Water resistance: 5 ATM, rated for pressure equivalent to 50 meters under the stated standard.
- Charging: magnetic charging head included; cable not included.
5 ATM is suitable for ordinary swimming when used as specified, but it is not a diving rating and should not be treated as protection from every high-pressure or water-related situation.
Is the Bip 6 genuinely premium?
Relative to inexpensive fitness watches, AMOLED, a 2,000-nit peak specification, an aluminum frame, GPS, maps, calls and a large panel are premium-leaning features. In flagship terms, the polymer case, tempered rather than sapphire glass, lack of LTE and absence of a full third-party app store are clear limits. TechRadar described the design as sleek and more premium-looking than its price suggests in its review; that is an attributed impression, not a material specification.
Who should buy it?
A good fit
- Anyone wanting a large, bright AMOLED display below $100.
- Users who prefer charging every several days rather than daily.
- Android or iPhone owners needing notifications, Bluetooth calls, GPS and fitness tracking.
- Runners and casual outdoor users who want built-in GPS at a low price.
Look elsewhere if you need
- LTE or phone-free calls.
- Native Spotify, Pandora or broad third-party apps.
- Highly specialized training analytics or extensive sensor integration.
- Metal construction throughout, sapphire glass or medical-grade monitoring.
Verdict
The Bip 6’s value proposition is specific: a large AMOLED display, built-in GPS and broad wellness features combined with unusually long claimed battery life for $79.99. It is a strong budget choice when endurance and screen quality matter more than apps and cellular independence. Treat “up to 14 days” as a best-case typical-use rating, and choose a different category of watch if you need flagship software, LTE or clinically validated health measurements.
