It is a strong feature-per-dollar option if you want an everyday smartwatch and fitness tracker, but its single-frequency GPS, phone-dependent smart features and lack of Spotify streaming matter if you need more advanced navigation or music.
What does the Amazfit Bip 6 cost, and is it worth it?
Amazfit’s US product page listed the Bip 6 for $79.99 when checked on October 4, 2026. That is a date- and market-specific listing, so check the current price where you live. TechRadar recorded a launch-era price of $79.99 in the US and £79.90 in the UK; the UK figure is historical, not a current quote.
At that price, the Bip 6 is appealing for buyers who prioritize a bright, roomy screen, everyday notifications and a broad selection of tracked activities over premium training tools. The headline feature count is generous, though the number of modes alone says nothing about how accurate a given measurement will be.

Display, fit and water resistance
The Bip 6 has a 1.97-inch AMOLED display with 390 × 450 resolution and up to 2,000 nits peak brightness, according to Amazfit. Its large screen should make watch faces and on-watch information easier to see than on a compact tracker, while the maker’s peak-brightness figure is a maximum specification, not a guarantee of identical visibility in every condition.
The watch measures 46.3 × 40.2 × 10.45 mm and weighs 27.9 g without its strap. Amazfit lists an aluminum-alloy frame and fiber-reinforced polymer case. The band width is 22 mm; check the attachment and pin details before buying a replacement strap.

Amazfit rates it 5 ATM and says it passed third-party SGS testing under ISO 22810:2010. That rating is not unlimited protection: the company advises removing the watch for hot showers or sauna use because steam can affect the seal. Follow the maker’s water-use guidance rather than treating the rating as permission for every water activity.
Fitness tracking, GPS and the Zepp app
Amazfit lists more than 140 sports modes, five satellite positioning systems, offline maps and turn-by-turn guidance, plus Zepp Coach and smart strength-training features. These are manufacturer-listed capabilities; they do not establish that every workout metric or route result will be accurate for every wearer.

The GPS caveat is important. TechRadar describes the Bip 6 as using single-frequency GPS. Reviewer Paul Hatton reported reliable GPS during two months of use, including in a forest, and said many walk, run and cycling results were comparable with a Suunto Race S. Those are one reviewer’s field observations, not a controlled test or a general accuracy guarantee. TechRadar also cautions that people seeking the best accuracy in dense built-up areas may prefer a dual-frequency watch.
The watch pairs through the Zepp app. Amazfit lists heart-rate, blood-oxygen, stress, breathing-rate, sleep and HRV functions, but the sources cited here do not establish independent clinical validation for those sensors. Treat the outputs as wellness and workout information, not medical measurements or diagnoses. A heart-rate belt is among the supported workout peripherals; verify compatibility with a specific model before buying one.

Battery life: advertised scenarios and reviewer use
Amazfit’s battery estimates vary by scenario. The company says the watch can last up to 14 days in typical use, up to 6 days with heavy use, up to 26 days in battery-saver mode, or up to 32 hours of continuous GPS. These are manufacturer claims under stated usage assumptions; actual results vary with settings and conditions. Battery saver also disables several health-monitoring functions and GPS, so its maximum figure is not equivalent to normal smartwatch use.
TechRadar’s reviewer reported 15–20 days with their light activity pattern and closer to 10 days when using GPS more often. That is personal review experience, not a standardized comparison with Amazfit’s scenarios. The practical takeaway is that GPS frequency and enabled features can make a substantial difference.

Calls, notifications, compatibility and music
Amazfit lists Bluetooth calls, notifications, Zepp Flow voice control and message replies on Android. The Bip 6 depends on a paired phone and Zepp app; not every feature works the same way across phone platforms. The official manual specifies Android 7.0 or later and iOS 14.0 or later, but check current app and phone compatibility before purchase.
For music, TechRadar reports local playback but no streaming-service support such as Spotify in its review. Firmware can change, so confirm the current feature set if streaming from the wrist is essential to you.
What comes in the box?
Amazfit’s EU product page lists the watch with standard strap, a magnetic charging head and an instruction manual; it does not list a cable. The manual describes connecting the charging base to power with a Type-C USB cable. Check the package listing for your region and make sure you have a suitable cable and power source.
Who should buy the Amazfit Bip 6?
It makes sense if you want
- A large, bright AMOLED screen and a lightweight watch body at a budget-oriented price.
- Built-in GPS, map and workout features, and a wide menu of sports modes without paying for a higher-end multisport watch.
- Long intervals between charges when your settings and activity pattern suit Amazfit’s battery scenarios.
Look elsewhere if you need
- Dual-frequency GPS for the strongest positioning performance in challenging urban conditions.
- Spotify or another streaming service on the watch, rather than local music playback.
- Health readings with independently established clinical accuracy, or phone-independent smart features.
The Bip 6 is best understood as a capable, low-cost everyday smartwatch with a notable fitness feature set—not a premium training watch. Whether it is a bargain depends on the current price in your region and on whether its GPS and music compromises fit your routine.
