RUNALYZE's home page

RUNALYZE offers manufacturer-independent training analysis for endurance athletes. It derives effective VO2max, forecasts race times, measures heart-rate training load, and displays performance charts. Data can arrive through supported services, manual file uploads, or APIs.

The free plan covers core analysis, while yearly Premium and Supporter plans add deeper tools and account benefits.

What it does

RUNALYZE analyzes endurance training for runners, cyclists, and other athletes. By relating heart rate to pace, it derives effective VO2max; it also forecasts distances from 3 km through ultramarathon and computes acute and chronic training load from heart-rate data.

Trend analysis, boxplots, dynamic histograms, summaries, data tables, and 90-day performance curves cover power, heart rate, and pace. Accounts may also log sleep, HRV, weight, blood pressure, glucose, temperature, illness, and injury, with each measure optional. RUNALYZE's terms frame it as an interactive sports diary rather than a physician's substitute. The web service works with connected services, while the Android companion displays account data without recording activities itself.

On the wrist

RUNALYZE lists direct synchronization for Garmin, Suunto, Polar, COROS, Withings, Whoop, Concept2, Decathlon, Hammerhead, Rouvy, Wahoo, and Amazfit. Its compatible-apps list also names Strava and Oura, among other devices and services.

The watch or device records the activity; RUNALYZE analyzes the imported data. Garmin, COROS, and Suunto connections can bring in historical activities. You can also upload activity files in FIT, TCX, FITLOG, GPX, HRM, KML, KMZ, PWX, SLF, SML, TRK, TTBIN, CSV, XML, or JSON format.

Getting started

Create an account, choose the free plan or a paid plan, and connect a supported service or upload activity files. A Personal API can import activities and other data with token authentication; the public API uses OAuth2 and requires an application request.

The Android app uses browser-based OAuth and shows dashboard, activity, health, and tool data. An iOS public TestFlight development version was announced in September 2026 rather than a normal App Store release.

Strengths

The platform puts effective VO2max, race predictions, training load, equipment records, and long-term visual statistics in one place. Users can track running shoes, bicycle parts, and other equipment.

RUNALYZE says its default account settings are private and that it does not sell or pass account data to third parties. Premium users may authorize Claude, ChatGPT, Mistral, or another MCP client to connect in read-only, revocable mode.

Catches

The Android companion displays and analyzes account data but does not record activities.

Free access leaves out Premium analysis tools, recurring routes, personal route maps, historic HRV, AI assistants, colored tracks, progression graphs, poster generation, and map layers. Check your device connection and browser version first; the redesigned interface requires Chrome 111, Safari 16.4, Firefox 128, or a comparable current Chromium browser.

Pricing

The Free plan costs free and includes common features, automatic sync, a performance monitor, effective VO2max, performance curves, and individual sports, tags, and equipment.

Early Premium costs €60 a year, billed yearly. It adds Premium analysis tools, recurring routes, a personal route map, historic HRV, AI assistants, colored tracks, a progression graph, a poster generator, and map layers.

Supporter costs €2750 a year, billed yearly. It includes an ad-free account, beta features, supporter access, and a 3% merchandise discount. The pricing note also lists paid access from €2.50 a user a month.

Who it suits

  • Endurance athletes comparing performance across several devices
  • Runners and cyclists who want long-term training analytics
  • Users who prefer a free starting plan

Who should look elsewhere

  • You need a watch app that records workouts without another device.
  • You want built-in workout programming or coaching features.
  • You require a standard iOS App Store app now.

What is good

  • Estimates effective VO2max from heart rate and pace.
  • Predicts races from 3 km through ultramarathon.
  • Imports data through many services, files, and APIs.
  • Tracks optional health measures and equipment.
  • Free plan includes automatic sync and core analysis.

Know this first

  • Android companion does not record activities.
  • Workout programming and coach tools are absent.
  • Many route, HRV, AI, and visual tools require Premium.
  • Public API access requires an application request.

On your watch

RUNALYZE syncs with a watch; its maker names Garmin, Polar, Suunto, Coros, Amazfit.

The short of it

RUNALYZE suits an endurance athlete who wants detailed analysis after training rather than a watch app that coaches a session live. Its broad import options and historical connections make it useful for combining data from several services, while the free tier covers core performance measures. Activities must reach the account through a connected service, upload, or API, and the Android app is only a companion. Check platform availability, browser requirements, and which Premium tools matter before paying yearly.
