The Audemars Piguet Neo Frame Jumping Hour is a rectangular pink-gold-and-sapphire watch that tells time through two apertures instead of conventional hour and minute hands. Its jumping-hour display is powered by the brand’s selfwinding Calibre 7122, which AP says offers a 52-hour power reserve. The official reference is 15245OR.OO.A206VE.01.
What is the Audemars Piguet Neo Frame Jumping Hour?
It is a modern, rectangular interpretation of the jumping-hour watch: the hour is shown numerically in one window, while a second aperture displays the minutes. Audemars Piguet describes the case as rectangular and made with pink gold and sapphire. The dark, two-window presentation gives the watch a markedly different outline from the brand’s familiar round and octagonal designs. Audemars Piguet’s product page lists the watch under reference 15245OR.OO.A206VE.01.
How do the two apertures show the time?
Unlike a conventional watch, the Neo Frame does not use central hour and minute hands. The hour appears in a window and advances in a jump when the next hour begins; the minutes are displayed separately in the lower aperture. Fratello describes the hour opening at 12 o’clock and the minute opening at 6 o’clock, a layout that makes the two readings easy to distinguish. AP’s collection page explains the jumping-hour principle as numerals leaping every 60 minutes rather than being carried around a dial by hands.
What movement is in the Neo Frame?
The watch uses Calibre 7122, which Audemars Piguet identifies as its first selfwinding jumping-hour movement. The brand gives a 52-hour power reserve and characterizes the calibre as combining precision with shock resistance. Those are manufacturer specifications and claims, not independently reported test results. The official collection page provides the reserve and movement description.

What are the Neo Frame’s dimensions?
Audemars Piguet’s product page does not provide the dimensions in the supplied official specification details. Hodinkee reports 34.6 mm vertically, 34 mm across, 47.1 mm lug-to-lug, and 8.8 mm thick; it notes that these figures were corrected by Audemars Piguet. Treat them as published measurements reported by Hodinkee, rather than measurements from an independent physical test. Hodinkee’s report gives the figures and their attribution.
What is the design inspiration?
Audemars Piguet places the Neo Frame’s visual language in the Streamline design movement and describes it as a reimagining of 1930s aesthetics. In its launch video, the brand points to a historic 1929 timepiece as an inspiration. These are AP’s own historical and design framings; they explain the intended reference without establishing a broader independent account of the watch’s lineage. The brand also presents the watch as a continuation of its jumping-hour heritage. Sébastian Vivas, AP’s Director of Museum and Heritage, says: “The Neo Frame Jumping Hour is a nod to Audemars Piguet’s pioneering role in developing the first jumping hour watches in the 1920s.” AP Talks, published 16 September 2026, discusses how archival designs inform contemporary creations including the Neo Frame.
