The Casio Edifice ECB-2300HR-1A Honda special edition was reported on March 3, 2026, as available in the United States for $400. That is a dated launch-price report, not a verified current price or stock status. The watch commemorates Honda’s first Formula 1 victory, achieved by the RA272 at the 1965 Mexican Grand Prix, 60 years earlier.
What the ECB-2300HR-1A commemorates
Casio identifies the watch as the EDIFICE Honda Special Edition marking the 60th anniversary of Honda’s first F1 victory. On October 24, 1965, Honda’s RA272 won the Mexican Grand Prix. Casio describes that race as the moment the RA272 delivered Honda’s first-ever Formula 1 victory.
The collaboration is therefore tied to one car, one race and one anniversary rather than to Honda’s entire motorsport history.
RA272-inspired design details
Championship White and red accents
The bezel ring uses the RA272’s Championship White. A red ring around the dial evokes the Hinomaru-inspired marking painted on the race car.
#1 Best Overall
- CASIO EDIFICE presents a EFK-110D timepiece, the sports car enthusiast’s favorite. This automatic, three-hand beauty brings sophisticated, refined style to your wrist.
- The sporty, yet refined watch design features a slim, compact case measuring just 38mm and a richly textured dial crafted with a special electroforming technique. High-transparency, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal delivers clear visibility, while raised indexes as well as a sharp bezel and case complete the dynamic, yet sophisticated design.
- The automatic movement, crafted in Japan, offers a power reserve of around 42 hours. With a see-through case back that reveals the movement’s meticulous motion, you will truly understand the unique appeal of a mechanical watch.
- Water resistance up to 10 bar leaves you free to focus on more exciting things, whether outdoor activities, watersports, or just enjoying your day-to-day.
Tachometer and engine references
An inset dial reproduces the RA272 tachometer. The genuine-leather band carries technical information and drawings referencing Honda’s 1.5-liter V12 engine. Casio says the outer surface uses Nappa leather and the lining uses Ultrasuede.
Anniversary markings
A Honda-designed anniversary logo is laser-engraved on the case back. The band loop is printed with “Veni, Vidi, Vici” (“I came, I saw, I conquered”) and the number 11, details Casio connects with the victory message sent from the race venue to Honda headquarters. Special packaging is included.

CASIO WATCHES app features
Bluetooth pairing supports automatic time adjustment, setup, world-time tools, stopwatch-data transfer and a phone-finder function. The app can display approximately 300 world-time cities, while the watch itself lists 38 time zones plus UTC; these are separate app and watch figures.
Standalone functions
- 1/100-second stopwatch for the first 60 minutes
- Countdown timer programmable up to 60 minutes
- Five daily alarms and an hourly signal
- Double LED light
- Full auto-calendar through 2099

Wearing size and fit
At 50.2 mm long, 45.8 mm wide and 11.8 mm thick, the ECB-2300HR-1A is a relatively large watch. Its listed 67 g weight keeps it light for its footprint, but the 175–215 mm compatible band range is the more useful starting point when checking wrist fit. Try the lug-to-lug span and strap range against your wrist rather than relying on weight alone.

- Case size (L× W× H): 44.8 × 39.9 × 7.8 mm
US price and availability
Notebookcheck reported on March 3, 2026 that the watch was on sale in the US for $400. Treat that amount as the reported US launch price. The official Casio page used for the specifications is an international model page, not a live US store listing, so current US price, inventory, shipping region and seller are not established here.
Casio Europe currently labels the model “Old Model.” That regional status does not prove that the US version is discontinued or unavailable. Before buying, confirm that the listing is specifically for ECB-2300HR-1A, check the seller and warranty, and verify the delivered price.
Quick Recap
Who this limited-edition Edifice suits
- Honda and F1 collectors: the RA272 references, anniversary engraving and engine artwork provide a specific historical connection.
- Daily wearers wanting low-maintenance power: Tough Solar reduces routine battery changes, while Bluetooth can keep time and settings synchronized.
- Buyers who prefer compact watches: the 50.2 mm case length makes this a poor fit for anyone seeking a small, discreet profile.
