The Casio A120WEST-1A is a Stranger Things-themed digital watch built on Casio’s retro A120 design. Its show-inspired details are distinctive, while its everyday functions are straightforward: stopwatch, alarm, hourly signal and amber LED illumination. Casio currently labels it an “Old Model,” so the page does not confirm present-day stock; check regional availability and the exact model before buying.
What makes the A120WEST-1A a Stranger Things watch?
Casio’s collaboration draws on the A120’s 1980s-inspired design and the show’s parallel-world imagery. The front has brightly colored buttons and a central Demogorgon motif. Pressing the LED light button illuminates the display with “STRANGER THINGS” shown upside down. Tentacle details appear on the case back and translucent resin band, and the original release came in illustrated packaging. These are design touches, rather than additional watch functions. Casio’s product page and its 2023 collaboration announcement describe the design.
What are its size, materials and functions?
Casio lists the watch at 40.7 × 33.5 × 9.4 mm and 25 g. The case and band are resin, the case is chrome plated, and the glass is resin. Its compatible band size is 145 to 215 mm.
| Specification | Casio-listed detail |
|---|---|
| Stopwatch | 1/10-second measurement; maximum capacity 59 minutes 59.9 seconds |
| Alarm and signal | Daily alarm and hourly time signal |
| Light | Amber LED backlight |
| Calendar | Auto-calendar |
| Accuracy | ±30 seconds per month |
| Battery | Approximately three years on a CR1616 cell, per Casio’s product specifications |
| Water resistance | Casio describes it as “Water resistant”; the Japan announcement says “Water resistant for daily use.” Neither wording establishes suitability for swimming or diving. |
These specifications are listed on Casio’s international A120WEST-1A page. For water exposure, do not infer a swimming or diving rating from the general wording.

Where can you find the Casio Stranger Things watch?
Casio’s international page labels the A120WEST-1A “Old Model.” That is a status label, not proof that every seller or region has run out of stock. The page offers a Store Search, but availability and price need to be checked for the buyer’s location. Confirm that any listing is for A120WEST-1A (regional listings may append a suffix), and verify the seller, condition and return terms before purchasing.
The launch prices are historical, not current buying guidance. Casio Japan announced a June 9, 2023 release at ¥12,100 including tax. Casio Europe announced an initial MSRP of €99.90 for the A120WEST-1AER, available from June 1, 2023. Neither figure establishes today’s price or stock.

Who is it best suited to?
This model makes most sense for a Stranger Things fan or collector who values the licensed artwork, illuminated upside-down title and special-release presentation. Its listed timekeeping and alarm features are conventional digital-watch functions, so the collaboration’s appeal is primarily visual. If practical use matters more than the show connection, compare dimensions, materials, functions and water-resistance wording with other watches—and weigh those against the seller’s current price and the watch’s condition.
