The Christopher Ward × seconde/seconde/ C65 Desk Diver is a 500-piece limited edition that pairs the C65 Aquitaine diver platform with an office-life joke: its Post-it-style dial and satirical bezel treat desk routines as diving activities. Beneath the concept, it remains an automatic watch with a 200 m water-resistance rating. Its original launch prices and reported sell-out are historical; current availability and resale prices have not been established.
What is a desk diver?
Here, “desk diver” is a parody, not a separate watch category or a claim that the watch is an office tool. Christopher Ward’s handbook describes the collaboration with Romaric of seconde/seconde/ as a spin on the C65 Aquitaine. The familiar diver-watch format supplies the setting for a visual joke about everyday office life.
A dial and bezel about office routines
Fratello’s 2024 launch coverage describes a Post-it-note motif on the dial, office activities and recommended units among the markings, and satirical labels on the bezel. The joke reverses the usual diver-watch fantasy: routine desk life becomes the territory being explored.
Designer Romaric André explained the idea to Fratello in 2024: “The irony is, I qualify as a desk diver myself… Daydreaming is my first occupation. Watches have the unique ability to transport the wearer from the banal to the exceptional. When you put on a dress watch, boom, you’re surrounded by Art Deco furniture and Carrara marble. When wearing an Explorer, you feel like you are scaling Mt. Everest. Reversing this trajectory and taking you back into hard-core-norm-core felt like the obvious next step. At work, you never know what is going to happen next, arguably making it the most unconquered landscape of all. I wanted to remind people to try and find something amazing in the everyday, instead of fantasizing about where they could be.”

Original strap and bracelet options and launch prices
Fratello’s 2024 launch coverage reported two configurations. Each included an additional yellow Delugs strap. The prices below are launch-era figures, not current prices.
| Launch configuration | Included setup | Reported launch price |
|---|---|---|
| Rubber | Black Tropic-style rubber strap, plus yellow Delugs strap | £995 / €1,295 / US$1,195 |
| Bader bracelet | Bader bracelet, plus yellow Delugs strap | £1,160 / €1,510 / US$1,395 |
The choice was between a rubber-strap setup and a steel bracelet setup; the launch report does not establish that either performs better. If looking for a replacement strap, the handbook specifies a 22 mm width. Check the attachment style and fit for the individual watch before buying a third-party strap.
